Warning! Contain Yuri, anyone with allergies should stay away.

This is my favorite novel in terms of gender bender elements. It's cute, fluffy, and heartwarming. The story is shallow, but it started to get better. Overall, pretty good read for someone who wants a heartwarming stories.

Btw... Alice is Cute! Cute is Justice! Justice is Alice!

So, I know that I've only read two chapters, but I really don't need any more to judge this novel. Horrible writing will be horrible no matter how many chapters you read.

The majority of Web and Light Novels tend to be very poorly written, but this one takes it to a whole other level. Repeated phrases/words over and over in only a few chapters. The author doesn't show anything, but decides to tell it all instead. Forcing opinions down the readers throat constantly, never letting the reader draw his/her... more>> own conclusions. Also, since it's written in a first person perspective, the author somehow think it's a good idea to barrage us with every thought that pops up into the MC's head.

Take this example of the author's writing. (Not really a spoiler, it's the start of the second chapter and nothing major happens.)

"I am at a loss and there's nothing I can do about it.
No, actually I've been at a loss for a while now, but reality doesn't accommodate you just like that.
Reality meaning the reality of another world, that is.
After noticing I could see my own Status, for a start I did just that"

I mean, I don't even know how to criticise that, it's awful. First the author shoves the emotions on you, not even letting you think. But then it's all forgotten and switches to something about status. It's unbelieveable.. The dude has just been transported to another world, as a goddamn girl as well. But he's only poorly portrayed as confused for a second, then he starts exploring his status. It's too sudden.

The only reason someone could ever like this, would be because the concept is interesting. Which is what so many Web and Light Novels survive on. But I've never read a Web or Light Novel that's as poorly written as this one. I recommend you don't waste your time on it and go read something else. <<less

In my opinion, this LN started of fairly high, but wittled down along the way which I found very disappointing.

It starts rather generic but quickly builds up in character.

The pacing at the start might be a bit slow at the start, but for me I found it to be just right. Soon intriguing events start to happen and we (the readers) are teased with borderline yuri-ish events.

... more>> Development continues nicely and we are even introduced to some mystery.

We are even treated to a fairly enjoyable large scale fight/battle.

That's where (in my opinion I must add) the story stagnates and begin's to deteriorate.

Even though there is development, it is no longer interesting. Or maybe I should say it is no longer told in an interesting way. It feels more like an amalgamation of facts than a story that grabs you by the imagination without letting go.

Appart from that it seems the previous story that was built up has been forgotten (or at least been put on hold) as certain mysteries and occurences that happened are yet to be explained, yet it feels as they will no longer be touched upon.

For those interested in what I mean:

- What is the mystery behind Ilya's attraction to Alice?
- Ilya seems to be becomming distant while at the start it was "hot and heavy"
- Why did Till decide out of the blue to make Alice her apprentice?
- Libra is still out there...
- Not once has the MC thought deeper about why he was brought to this world
- And probably others I missed

All in all it feels like the story became dull from one chapter to the next.
Like a great party where the sound system suddenly blows out...

So for those of you interested in reading this:

To a certain extent it is good, very enjoyable even. But there's a turning point and in my opinion the story has not yet recovered from this... <<less

Well I might be a bit biased because I think I read too much novel with harem OP MC but this one is interesting:
First I like yuri and I think we need moar yuri

Second Alice's reaction so cuuute

Third we're not reading a story with battle at every chapter and that want all the girls in the new world

Honestly I've always wandered how all the gender bender novels does not turn out as (at least technically) yuri: looks like this is not so frequent, so Alice Tale is quite refreshing in this sense. As others said for now the story is, if not plain, at least light hearted.. Yet quite funny and entertaining. At least enough to be glad it has been picked up again after a 5 months hiatus (in the translation).

This novel is cute and fluffy, while it is a gender-bender you can't help but feel happy and crack a smile at times..

Recommended for people who are looking for something light hearted.. It does have action bits, but it's pretty fluffy.

It's not an epic novel in any sense. The MC might look gifted with power or OPness but with how the story went so far, the plot is really shallow, no potential whatsoever. A complete light read if you don't like heavy stuff in the transported to other world genre. Readable, but only when there is nothing else to read on your list.

The first chapter is good. In the beginning.

I like to spend forever choosing something, so it's the same with the MC. But. It deteriorated. Fast.

I want to read this because of the summary. And then I read the reviews.

You know, there's Yuri tag, right? I mean, if there's Yaoi, there must be Yuri, right? Why it's not tagged as Yuri? I thought the Harem tag was like Shirayuki, or those otome game stories.

The Yuri elements is an unpleasant surprise. At least tag it, man...
