So good!

I really apreciate FL Song Yuanyuan - she is what I expect to see in FL but rarely find! She’s tenacious, cunning, a little black bellied, compassionate and when her relationship with ML deepens, she doesn’t put him on a pedestal of dependence and become a damsel in distress.

Characters are not 2d... aside from some very cliche palace drama stuff thanks to the og novel dog blood plot, you realize that all of them are driven by their personal motives.

I struggled to finish the story. Towards the end, I just wanted it to end quickly. I found it tiresome because the two main characters were so overpowered - they were the most powerful, the best looking, the smartest and wisest... and I didn't even feel anything for the romance. They reminded me of the characters from 'Natural Born Killers'; they'd kill, then love each other, kill some more while expressing their love for each other. I really didn't feel for this story at all.

I was quite disappointed with this one given the rating was quite high. It was interesting at the start since the ML is an unconventional character, he truly has a villain mindset. However, it became dragging as the story continued. Fo me, there were no exciting nor memorable events whether it be romantic moments or fighting scenes with demons/enemies. It was just a smooth sailing for both the FL and ML, it was easy for them to level up and it seems that there was no turning point at all.

Maybe... more>> I was just expecting more given the genre of the novel, so I though the MCs will experience some sort of struggles along the way. Thus, although the FL criticizes MW, it seems that she herself is also like a Mary Sue character. The plot about her transmigration is actually quite brilliant but the development of the story is somehow average. Overall, it’s a so-so novel and it’s not one that I will read again in the future. <<less

This is, hands down, my favorite novel. Every character felt real and the story was completed with great resolutions. Even the extra side stories were great addition to the storyline. If you want to read a novel that will make you cry and laugh, this is for you.

I hope we might get a second installment of this story. Even though the ending was quite satisfactory, I still want more. I will miss my Little Mulberry and Demon King.

It is a very good novel. I like the FL's character of doing things in her own ways..

The eccentric ML is super cool. Although he is a maniac, I like his own special personality.. (well, I had selected him as my brother. Finally, I got one more brother to my eccentric family. Hello brother....

Loved the story. It was interesting and ended at the right time. Also, the FL becomes progressively stronger, but her power never becomes OP. Which is something that I enjoyed.

It has very unique charm and I totally loved it in the beginning. Everything was great FL and ML were great.

They had different characters from other transmigration novels and I loved how ML fell in love but afraid that he would be miserable if she leave him someday.

Yes I admit that sometimes he became psychotic but I loved when he truly understand what truly love meant to be. Loving someone is not only being together and dying together, it means living for other person.

Yep now when I'm reviewing it I wanted to give full 5 star, but my unfinished status reminded me why I gave 4 stars.

Started Mtl'd it until 77 and I felt bored. Plot is kept in one place and nothing serious is happening. I truly wanted to finish it but decided to wait fully translated version. <<less

Read the novel half in mandarin because it wasn't finished being translated so I had a little trouble understanding the complicated conspiracy. This was a really fun read. Each arc packed with little tidbits revealing more and more of the grand conspiracy. It's a great rendition of a transmigration novel.

Loved the male lead and female lead. Definitely one of my favorite couples of all time! Although everyone says that he is a yandere, he really doesn't have that much of those toxic yandere qualities. Just a sweet but insecure guy... more>> on the inside. The female lead is witty and knows just how to handle her man. Reading their interactions was really fun and wholesome. Honestly, I wished there were more chapters of them two and the other couple in this. Her family is great.

I had mixed thought about this novel. The good part was the more complex than expected plot. The bad part was most of the story was well written until towards the end. The writing style was inconsistent with some things covered in detail, while significant events were brushed over quickly. The author inserted several sentences every so often to mention how MC, Sang Yuanyuan, blushed and trembled due to ML's, You Wuming, attractiveness. However, the much anticipated take down of the main boss was covered in a few sentences.

To save her life, MC pretended to like ML. She followed ML to escape from her husband. Later, she was able to obtain a divorce. MC and ML eventually started really liking each other and blinded the eyes of everyone with their love.

ML was the son of the female emperor. He was from the Arcane clan (they have the power to save a life by giving up their own, which also passes along their cultivation) and the Enchanter clan (they can bewitch people). His mother had blackmailed his dad with ML's life. So his dad gave up his life and cultivation to her. Then ML was forced to sacrifice his life to save the real You Wuming. However, ML took over the body instead. That's why he wants to kill the emperor.

MC did not transmigrate into the body. She actually returned to her original body. Her soul was pushed out of her body six years ago during her coming of age ceremony.

The Temple of Heaven was conspiring behind the scenes to change the future. They thought the world would end and that MC needed to die to keep that from happening. This is why they pushed out her soul and intended for her to die once she came back 6 years later.

The soul inside of the female emperor is not ML's mom's. Her soul was forced out and the replacement was the one who killed ML's dad. ML's mom really did loved ML's dad.

The conspiracy was started 500 years ago by Emperor Yun to change the future that was shown to him by a divine mirror. It showed that Emperor Yun was killed by his descendant. This came true when Emperor Yun was taken down by ML and handed over to the Yun State. The executioner was his descendant.

I feel like I would like this better if I was in the right mindset to read a dog-blood drama that's very in your face. For as far as I read, it feels like the MC is constantly trying to swat an annoying fly that keeps buzzing in her ear. But the fly is so persistent even after being swatted multiple times ans keeps following even after giving up momentarily by leaving the room only for it to follow.

The fly is the Mary Sue FL of the novel that the... more>> MC transmigrated into btw. It's to the point where I have to drop it because it's honestly taxing to the brain cells. The MC is fine. ML is fine mostly because his character development is actually interesting. But the novel FL is annoying.

I'll probably pick this up again, like I said before, when I'm in a better mindset. I honestly love this kind of dog-blood but it's literally beating a dead horse for me. <<less

The author was really good in making the plot interesting with details being well-connected to twist. The translators also did well in translation.

What I liked the most was the relationship of the main leads who I considered as power couple who became inseparable. Their relationship was well-developed and the support/trust/love for each other was strong. Many interesting characters and I also liked the depth of some supporting characters most of them were "gray" (not saint or evil). Some "villains" might be jerks but can be heroic in their own ways.

ML's character got depth and had an anti-hero persona. At first, I thought he's straight-up crazy and "potential" toxic yandere... but he proved me wrong, he actually a decent person (still crazy) and his every move got reasons. He is actually the Mary Sue in this novel (lol) but I find him still very humane bc he still got emotions even got conscience esp to innocence that he unalived to achieve his plans. His violence and thirst for revenge may be severe but he is actually heroic in his own way. He was not 100% good person, but he got bottom line and principles.

-Many might disliked this kind of novel bc some violent scenes were graphical and too many canon fodders being sacrificed for the plot.
- The halo of leads were strong, I felt that they easily solved their circumstances. ML was tooo OP (lol) I was even bored in last parts bc the leads were already powerful and no thrill.
- The ending felt rushed and it made me feel empty due to extra chapters... should have added chapters of main story (future of Cloud realm in ML's reign) instead of parallel timeline plot.

Overall/Personal Enjoyment: 4.25/5

This was a really engaging and fun novel, I’m glad I read it haha. I smiled so many times reading it XD I say, this is one of the most thorough and coherent web novels I have read, despite the super long novel name lol. The plot was pretty tight and also pretty deep. The characters are all fun, vivid and real. And the romance, a very big part of the novel, is actually good? I mean, the relationship has growth, feels, chemistry, banter and is also... more>> hilarious and fun. Not only that, romance isn't the end all be all of the story, it is also a revenge/investigate conspiracies/save the world/cultivation novel. This is the main structure of the novel and the romance grows along with doing all these things. Very organic and surprisingly, a smooth ride with no hiccups for me.

Writing/Translation: 4/5

The translation I read is from Pinnochies’ Little Translation Corner. The translation at the beginning, especially the first 10 ish chapters, was quite off. Not many errors but all the sentence structure still had the Chinese structure and only the words were translated to English. There was a lot of "Your Prince, I... " like the order of the sentence is weird and doesn't follow conventional English writing lol. There are also a few inconsistencies in the names of the various levels of the hierarchy of the different armies because the translator forgot which words they used before but it doesn't affect anything. It got so much better as time went by which is why I rated 4.

Pacing: 4.25/5

In the beginning, like the first 30+ chapters, the MC was just going with the flow because she was powerless at the time. So it felt a little bit aimless because we didn't have a clear and determined goal from the MC except to just survive haha. However, once MC and ML begin to like each other, things become increasingly exciting as they begin to investigate things. Overall, no issue. The last chapter ending felt a bit abrupt to some readers but I didn't really feel it because I already thought everything had been settled.

Plot: 4.5/5

Very good, it was so intriguing and made me very interested in finding out all the little conspiracies and secrets. I also like the mystery of the Underworld demons. Something was always happening all the time so I never got bored. I never even had the slightest thought of dropping the novel, which is super rare! Also, although the number of chapters is not that large at 109 chapters, it certainly felt long. It took me 4 days to finish the story when I could normally finish 100+ chapters in 2.5 days.

Romance: 4.25/5

The romance is quite good! I liked almost everything about it. It was kind of an enemies/strangers to lovers situation where they definitely aren't friends and the MC was the most in danger at the start. It was so fun to see how the MC made snap decisions to manipulate the situation so the ML won't straight up kill her haha. Normally all these manipulations within the main couple of a story would be icky for me but the underlying humour in the writing just made it hilarious and fun to read haha. We start to learn more about the ML and the world and the ML also gets curious about this weird woman and they both really start to like each other. I really like that there is so much effort put into the romance haha. It also helps tremendously that both of these people are proper characters that have their own strengths and personalities that don't revolve around the love interest haha. Even their first time is hilarious lololol. My only quibble is that the story kept writing the girl in the relationship as having her legs go soft, was done until soft, the male accidentally overdid it, and so on, as in most CN novels. Well, it's not too bad lol because the ML really isn't that kind of overbearing annoying CEO male lead, and the MC honestly finds the ML hot haha. There is no shy, innocent maiden that loses her IQ in front of the male lead here.

Setting/Worldbuilding: 4.5/5

For a CN novel, yes, the worldbuilding and the setting are pretty good! So much mystery, haha. I really felt the awe, the scary middle of the night sounds, type of feeling, the hot-blooded action battlefield, etc. Of course, it's not perfect, but it's one of the better web novels out there.

Characters: 4.5/5

The main characters are so fun, haha. They are also super capable! I love all their discussions on their findings, their plotting, their humour, the banter, and the cool factor haha. Also, there were cute characters too, like their cloudbeast and the adorable puppet!

I really loved the whole book. It was interesting and fun. The build up was good and when they got together was awesome too.

Unlike other transmigration novels, where the MC replaces the OFl, here it's kind of different and it's freaking fun to read it that way.

The villian/ML and the MC are way too intelligent like they have an awesome IQ with the way they plot and deduce things. MC and her flowers are one more thing I love and lol the way he villian/ML has his own horrific names... more>> for them. 😂 Do give it a read I'm sure you'll like it. I specially loved the extras they were so good and like a parallel universe or more like going back once again but in a totally different setting. <<less

the story is amazing. Our author actually fill all the potholes, and I love all the side characters. Even the bad characters have their own depth (both good and bad point). Also I love the MC and ML relationship, like only MC is for ML and only ML is for MC. If it changes to someone else, people would scream toxic relationship. My favorite is daun Ming and the puppet. They're just too cute.

I am writing this review because of one commenter in the translation. Like you hate... more>> this story and characters so much yet, keep on reading and comment about what you hate everytime.

How you keep on saying the MC have Stockholm syndrome, And refusing everyone's else explanation because they don't have the " professional training on that subject " while you just extract the definition from google.
I mean if you hate it that much, just drop it and leave. Don't need to waste your time reading and commenting.

For the story, I like how it progressed and the plot is great. Also our ML is the devil, thoroughly a villain. Not the typical misunderstood villain. But he does have a really bad past. If I were to experience that, trust me I will be blackened just like he did.
I LOVE our MC. She's amazing and smart. Her family is funny and kind. <<less

i really loved this story, it was different and refreshing... I loved how they slowly develop feelings for each other, it flows natural. SY and YW are a cute and sweet couple, once their romantic relationship truly beggins they are complete honest with each other, I love the way they understand each other with just one lookn and how they are stick together for almost the whole story hahahah. Another positive point about this story (at least for me) is that there isn't romantics misunderstandings between them, and they are... more>> very clear about how they feel. 10/10 this story is so captivating I couldn't stop reading.

The novel has so much depth, the characters are incredibly tangible, the trauma, the schemes, the despair, the hope, the determination, the heroic spirit in so many characters is so well written and translated I could feel every single emotion.

The irony of destiny, the futile attempts against it, the unity of humanity that won at the very end is such a beautiful description that brought me to tears.

And the comic relief in the story is completely blended in with the absolute... more>> horror and heavy emotions, so much so that it doesn't take away from the seriousness of the situations and just adds a more humane touch.

The main couple... oh my Lord, I can't, they are so perfectly interwoven, they are perfect pieces by themselves but as a whole they are unstoppable. I think it fit the overall theme that they were so OP.

A 5/5 story, truly a gem!

The author wrote every character beautifully and the plot hooks your interest as you discover conspiracies and twists with the male and female lead. The villains also have personality in them, they are not written as the usual idiots who only act like that for the purpose of strengthening the romance of the leads. The villains receive just ends, ones where you can truly feel that it fits their crimes.

The female lead is also not one who only depends on the male lead, she can... more>> stand by herself, she was written to be someone who knows that hard work can help her achieve what she wants and does not agree with the idea of waiting for something to fall from the sky. I actually loved her advices to MWY (original female lead), it was sincerely something I am sometimes guilty of being though not including the cheating part lol!

Surprisingly, this novel does not have the usual kind and caring 2nd ML who usually is there to keep us annoyed for disrupting the lead’s romance or sympathize with. Not even the original ML can be called a 2nd ml. The romance of ML and FL are purely grown through the patience, trust, and unconditional belief. There is no such thing as misunderstandings though we could do something with the ml’s pride sometimes lol though it’s more of a cute pro instead of a con.

Though I got to say those extra chapters could’ve become a novel of its own and I would’ve read it. I still am a bit annoyed that it ended without knowing the twins’ names!

Anyway, would I recommend this book? Yes! Absolutely! It’s a great book you’ll totally enjoy!

Anw, the story is pretty interesting truthfully cultivation aint my thing but well It's pretty good to keep me hooked up until the very last.

For han shaoling guy. The way He end his life I took it as a pay back for what he have done to all women he used as a tools. Including the abusive sht he put on MW side. Btw Han shaoling death aint bloody. He just passed away like that so yea.

I love this story. One word: it's so hilarious. The plot was great and the characters was very likeable. MC was an easygoing and intelligent woman and her remarks throughout the story often made me laugh while ML was a yandere + tsundere who often acted like a child who loved boasting and being praised.

The other characters were also very memorable, including the villains. I even felt a bit sad when the original ML met his end.

The original ML, Han Shaoling, was actually a great hero who had a righteous character. However, he was indeed a bad husband. But if we thought from another perspective, he was exacly the representation of man in ancient time who thought that having a wife and a few concubines were a normal thing so that's why he didn't take MC's feeling seriously.

Still, Han Shaoling who had a righteous character won't let himself sacrificed an innocent people for his own gains so he was miserable when he knew that the price of "heaven" trying to protect him was robbing other people's luck and also made the demon attacked the people more fiercely until it costed so many lives.

Although I agree that he still needed to die, I hope that he would die as a hero in the battlefield rather than dying alone in some underground tunnel without any light.

ML and MC will have a twin in the future. It's kinda surprising though because it would be hard for cultivators to have a child, even more so when their cultivation was high. But with ML's heaven-defying strength, maybe it wasn't entirely impossible.
