what an amazing ride!

there was angst, drama, love and fluff.

the drama will make you shed some tears but you'll recover with with some good laugh from the supporting characters.

but it was the love between the ML and MC that will redeem it all.

totally recommend this series.

kudos to sansukini at second life translations for her high quality work on this!

If after reading the synopsis you forgot that the MC is reborn don't worry the author will remind you every other paragraph. The plot was barely there. The characters behaved like they were in high-school and I could barely call whatever the author tried to portray a romance. I may have enjoyed this more if it was set in high-school, it would explain the behavior of all the characters and why the romance was juvenile.

Thinking back on it now the author's attempt at mature romance was to have the ML... more>> lust after the MC..... that's not cute <<less

I think that the magic of this story centers on the male lead.

We, like our reborn heroine, get to discover that underneath the entitlement and willfulness that characterizes his character in the beginning, our ML is at his core, a singularly devoted person. This trait is at the character's core and in the 60 or so chapters that I've read, our heroine tempers his potential by teaching him how to respect others feelings and care for them in a way that doesn't destroy their own dignity.

While certainly not perfect, and... more>> in fact, often heavy handed, the story is at it's best when having these two characters interact with each other. Their dynamic is charming.

In my opinion, the flaws are far outweighed by my interest in seeing these two grow into better versions of themselves.

I wont say it’s perfect but it’s definitely an interesting rebirth story. It has the right amount of angst, right amount of fluff, right amount of drama and full score on character development!

This is one of the only stories I've read from start to finish, a full 5/5!

At first, the male lead’s personality wasn’t exactly ideal but his character development is just incredible. The MC is also very likable and matured over the course of the stories. Her decisions make sense and she rarely does anything that’s inconsiderate or without thought and, if she does, there’s proper reasoning and context. The only lackluster thing about the story might be how well all the conflict was resolved as it’s a tad unrealistic but,... more>> personally, I felt it was dealt with well and didn’t drag on for long like some other stories.

The two leads had good communication and a well developed relationship. The villains were dealt with accordingly/ were left to their own accord (but would still get their retribution) and the MC wasn’t ever unnecessarily evil. Overall very satisfying read! <<less

This is so GOOOOOODDD!!! Wonderful! At first I came here diving thinking that this would be like a female savior x dark ml, reading a bit further I was like, , , hmm this looks a bit like Incurable Pain (bc of the ego boosters, toxic like relationship but still really good novel) but then a little bit more I was like, this is also actually kinda like Devil's Warmth! (Which I suggest you to read x5!)

Despite that constant comparing of what trope it is like, its definitely... more>> unique in its own! This is one immaculate BG novel, one I havent read in a while since I probably already read most of it haha. BUT this is so good and you will definitely be missing out if you continue read this! I do feel like Psychological tag should be included as for how the main CP went through in their both of their lifetime.

Now, moving on the characters. MC is an absolute strong willed lady. Because of her past life experiences, she started to change the way she treats and spoke to ML. I won't lie that the ML in their oast life is an absolute nightmare for any poor girl involved and his actions are connected to MC's suffering, BUT the character growth of MC and ML is Insane! MC was still a student when she dies so experiencing life is still new to her despite being reborn. I just want to say I absolutely love her, her dignity, hypocrisy and will is shown so beautifully that while you might have misgivings towards her character specially in terms of money, you would find her so endearing and cant help but root for her. as for me, I liked her chracter all throughout the novel and her double face was still so good to read, admitting her hypocrisy, and raising her dignity.

ML is a tr*sh, really, when I first read it I was like... oh so this is not the way I thought things would go. BUT OHHHHHHHH THE CHARACTER GROWTH!!!!!!!!! Really beautifully written. He's someone who wouldn't back down and have moral issues, his whole life is but with MC by his side, his growth came so easily but not abruptly. It was slow, but steady. From only liking her due to her appearance to loving her to her very core.

There's a part in the novel where the main CP's life changed BIG time, and I have to say that while ML is a light in MC's life, he's also the fire that'll consume her. But with their effective communication (!) with each other, it turned from being consumed to being someone willingly consumed. Now, theyre both fires that equally light each other's life.

The first few chaps may be a bit hard to go through for unseasoned readers and those who hate cliches because of the ego boosters But it basically goes poof as the chapters go on so no need to worry. My verdict: 10/5!!!!!!! Love it so much! <<less

Very good drama. I cried at parts and read it all in 2 days. It resolved so well and the ending really felt complete. It was a satisfying read. The male lead does start off the book as a bad man and bully, but he really grows and changes himself as the novel progresses.

Of course mvp of this novel is father Wen!

one of my favorite in this novel is when FL is rational enough to know that she is too young, inexperienced, and powerless against mature and cunning fox so instead of trying to be a heroine and solve the problem herself she told ML right away so he can be on his guard. Kidda refreshing

tbh this was kinda unappealing at first, bc the ml’s constant pursuit of the FL despite her numerous rejections was very icky. However, throughout the story, you can see his character development, from when he stopped seeing her as a toy but rather as a genuine life partner.

Wen Guoan, the ml’s father is also a great character. We always see novel emphasise on blood ties, but ml’s father willingly raised ml, and raised him well too, despite knowing that ML was a product of his wife’s affair. However, my favourite part is the extras, they are extremely sweet and will make up from all the bitter sweetness in the main text. The relationship reveal in chapter 111 is cute too haha.

This story was kinda boring ngl. I wanted to drop this so many times but then just kept going on hoping for it to become better. I was attracted by the high ratings for this novel but in my opnion, its pretty average. I have read several novels that have better relationship dynamics and character growth.

Overall an average read to pass the time if you are that bored. Nothing too amazing.

Overall it was a good story, to pass the time, but I feel that it was very redundant and the story can be summarized in a few lines. I didn't love the ending, I feel that the drama was unnecessary and the final plot could have been incorporated in a better way.

A really nice read! I like how the drama wasn't too heavy? Like it doesn't make my brain hurt like some other romance novels do lol. I really like the characters too, not just the main characters. I don't know what to say lol the story was just really interesting and engaging.

This is such a great story with character growth. Story is focused on that and their romance. Loved the story and leads. It's a modern Cinderella love story with the rebirth twist which makes it into somehow relatable fairy tale (such a contradiction). ML is a flawed Prince Charming but perfect for this era we live in. And FL is not a defenceless and naive poor girl anymore.

Very easy MTL, highly recommend. MC and MLs relationship developed so much compared to their first life. ML grew so much as a character, he was overbearing and inconsiderate which led to a tragic ending for MC, but without even knowing, he changed his ways and MC couldn't help but fall for him.

Thank you for translating this story, Author!!! 😍😍 I really love this story! It's not your typical common route where the FL go back in time, treating the ML sincerely right after she went back into the past because of seeing how good the ML was to her in their past life ang regretted it, then falling in love etc.

I like how story is slow paced, not changing everything immediately right after she was reincarnated. I also like that Anning was able to see new sides of Wen Yu because... more>> she decided to try improving her relationship Wen Yu, compare to their past live where she always refuses him.

Over all, I like this! It' a fresh breather for me someone like me, who finds a fast paced romance where the FL and ML falls in love quickly and then date, then become a strong couple together etc.

One of novel that I highly recommend.

It shows the darkness of human side especially freshman who just joined universities life. Money can solve everything but it can drag our life to the lower level as well.

I love how MC tried so hard on her life and changed into a better person and MC and ML accommodated each other.

Thank you for translator who spends her time to translate and share it. I did MTL because I couldn't wait but I will return to reread after translation being completed

The novel is just hidden treasure what do I say about this masterpiece beautifully written I like both the characters their love for eachother their character development their relationship goals.....

Aside from them there is really something awesome about side characters like ML's dad which is not his biological dad but love him like he is his own blood which is such a nice thing to read and feel and cafe owner and fl's bestfriend are also worth reading characters they made the plot more and more happy and worthwhile.....

About the... more>> leads I want to say I love them they are goals that respect and trust is all what we need.. <<less

The plot was good. FL (Jin Anning) and ML (Wen Yu) suffered so much in past life, they really deserved happiness in the present time.

I like that FL was not Mary Sue and got no cheat after regressed... it's more of their realizations in life, straightening mistakes/wrong views and character/relationship development especially good communication with each other. Even w/o FL's revenge, it's really a pleasure to read that her simple actions can hugely affect their the flow of their future. (Black-bellied ML discreetly did his own revenge)

There were also... more>> so many interesting characters (both bad and good ones)... esp how likeable Father Wen especially on extra chapters. <<less

One with a plot. The character development of both MC and ML were great.

The MC knows what she wants, she ask for help not like the typical MC who insist on her own even if she knows she can't.

Her struggles and decision making when it comes to how to deal with her past memories and accepting ML. How they overcome their past and created a new present.

Both characters will simply grow on you
