I humbly thank this book for my sleepless night. Story line and it's heroes successfully got my attention.

It was nice to see both leads characters grow, it was portrayed pretty natural.

My fav poits:

... more>> Trusting relationship. Anning didn't try to do everything herself. I just adore when two people open to each other. You can say that at the end of book they shared everything that should be shared.

Their dynamic in second life just chef's kiss.

That moment when Wen Yu played rascal, Anning instead of blushing gave him motherly look of doting and helplessness. Just my favourite moment🥰 It's second time I read such moment in reborn novels, and it's so sweet and funny. <<less

I finally could understand why this novel got a high rating because it's really a good read.

MC's character was well done made and quite realistic. After her rebirth, she didn't suddenly become adept at scheming or somehow acquired some superpower/system that would help her in her second life. No, she was still that simple and hardworking girl but she got more mature after experiencing her first life. She tried to correct her thinking and it led her to take a different action compared to her previous life. ML indeed was... more>> to domineering in the previous life and MC was plagued by nasty rumours because of it but the rebirth MC knew that if only she tried to dispell the rumour since the beginning and not let it spread until it's out of control, maybe the outcome would be different. She also tried to communicate calmly with ML instead of being fierce like in her previous life and it turned out, ML could understand although not because he could emphatize with MC but simply because he liked her and didn't want to make her sad/angry.

Speaking of ML, he wasn't considered a green flag type of ML. He wasn't actually a good guy and MC knew it but he really treated MC well. I didn't speak about their previous life but in their current life. The past ML actually liked MC a lot but since MC refused to communicate with him, he didn't know what he did wrong with his pursuit. It's simply because they grew up with different environment and value. ML, who was born with silver spoon couldn't understand MC's struggle and vice versa. However, after they communicated with each other, they finally could understand each other's view and with that, we could see ML and MC's growth towards the better.

My another favorite character was Father Wen who was a really good father. Like ML, he was also a playboy in his youth but when he had ML, he did his best to nurture him and other than being a playboy, ML really did well in other aspect of his life. Even after he knew a heartbreaking fact about ML, he still treated ML like a precious thing. He also didn't look down on MC because of poor background. I'm really gonna miss him a lot. <<less

I honestly put reallyyy high hopes since It's 4.6 😭 but oh boy, my hope were too high

It's ok. It's kinda boring ngl, i'll give it 4.0 in terms of everything (dont get me wrong the story is well written It's just aint my cup of tea) FL kinda annoyed me but I understand her, but it cant be helped im annoyed by her constant rejection. And ML? Gosh, I dislike him lol 💀 when I read how much he pursue FL in past tl I suddenly remember a video... more>> irl where chinese girl (in public) begging to her knees repeatedly saying to this boy to stop pursuing her bc she couldnt take it anymore 💀

Ys it has a pretty decent chara growth, and I really like how realistic ML chara was

2nd generation filthy rich guy, ofc he had a tons of ex lover, altho he leave them after 'he get to tasted them' as*hole indeed but well, irl ofc rich guy behave like this a**hole. Had big ass ego, cant accept rejection and just too annoying to look at.

But well he got his chara development! And id say It's a greatt chata development

This was a good read despite its flaws.

I liked the characterizations and it felt like reading about real people. The plot was also engaging and I didn't feel a dull moment reading it. The build up of the romance was also smooth and exciting to read. However, although the author has great writing skills, I can't help but feel that there is a misogynistic undertone in this. I'm not talking about her half-assed attempt at suddenly raising the feminist flag on Shujun's part but the subtle implications of the novel... more>> disturbs me a bit. Especially on the part that it is somehow MC's fault for being unyielding to the ML's advances. But on the other hand, that also checks out because the current society still have ways to go for feminism.

In the end, this is still an enjoyable read for me. Just turn off your brain and have an awareness that you are merely reading it for fun. <<less

10/10 100% would recommend.

Translation 9.5/10 *there are some errors with the names/pronouns but there is nothing to undermine the flow of the story.

There are so many things that make this story an amazing book. But one of the particular aspects I loved the most was the communication. Even when the FL was not open about her rebirth/time regression she learned to be honest about her feelings, about her thoughts, this in turn spurned the ML to do the same. It was so beautiful to read, their progress, their banter, their... more>> affection, their love, their trust, even their grief.

I quite liked how important the two faces of money were to the story. Money brought about all the circumstances of the protagonists and shaped the way they viewed the world. Both the FL and the ML learned to break away from the shackles of money; she learned to be generous to herself with money and he learned that money can't actually resolve everything.

I found it very novel when it wasn't the ML who "woke up" the FL from her stupor and numbness after losing her grandma, it was her best friend showing the importance of friendship

The extra stories are amazing, they were so refreshing. I had never seen such a great father and grandfather than Wen Guoan. He is so loving and caring to his son. The way he breaks away from traditional societal preconceptions is sublime <<less

There is a lot to love about this novel.

One of my favorite things is that in the second timeline, everyone only suffered for the sins of that life. The sins from the first timeline were only remembered by MC, but she didn't set about seeking justice. She set her own goals and worked towards them.

Another thing I loved about this novel is that the MC didn't suddenly become OP by being reborn. She realized that she'd taken a lot of missteps previously, but it still took time and effort to... more>> change herself and find the right path forward.

Lastly, I really loved the growth of the characters. MC knew she couldn't stick to her old self, so she took deliberate steps to change. ML on the other hand, required a lot of help, but he got there eventually. <<less

This cnovel was amazing. Has the mature tag for a reason, as there were some gritty, unpleasant and dark parts to it. A romance novel that has an impact and will definitely be remembered. Both of the main characters have flaws, some more major than others, and as young people (18-20) they still make correspondingly naive decisions and mistakes. Both of them go through a lot of character growth and it's especially noticeable in the male lead. I would advise you to give this novel a good try due to... more>> the characters being like onions, peeling one layer at a time as the chapters go by. Some of the side-characters are not too fleshed out, but the story's heart is in its main characters. There's also some mystery elements that are nicely executed, the translation was well done and the novel has a cathartic conclusion (one thing was slightly rushed, but it did its purpose). A special shoutout is needed for Wen Gouan, the male lead's father, as he is undoubtedly one of the best parental figures I have seen in the many novels I have read over the years. The extras (ch 102-115) were a joy to read with some nice sweetness to end it all. Not a completely perfect story, but one I highly, highly recommend. <<less

I have enjoyed this novel. In the beginning, I was very skeptical because of the character of the male lead. Thankfully, his character developed well. The only thing that I didn't like in this novel is that there was some uncessary repetitive drama. For instance, we already have Xia Yu as a bad character, so for me it was uncessary for Bai Lu to be a bad character too. I felt that drama just took from the love story of the lead characters. Enjoyable second chance story. MC, Ji Anning, suffered and had a bad relationship with ML, Wen Yu, in her past life. Past life ML was a scary stalker and would give any normal person anxiety attacks. So MC was 100% right in avoiding him.

In this new life, MC was able to resolve the landmines in her past life. I liked seeing how she decided to speak up for herself and not suffer in silence. However, I don't agree with some of the author's comments saying that MC was too rigid... more>> in her unwillingness to accept ML's gifts in the past... she had no intention to be with him so it's correct to not accept them.

ML is still a lil crazy in this life but he learns to put MC first. He sees her as a person and feels hurt and sadness when she is hurt and sad. The story has a happy ending.

There is no explanation as to why MC was reborn. However, it seems that her grandmother's life is shortened due to her rebirth.

In the past life, ML stopped going to school and that's why she was targeted by a pe*vert. It's revealed at that time that ML's mother was mu*dered and his dad was framed and jailed. ML was dealing with it.

ML's mom cheated on his dad so his biological dad is someone else. His bio dad and half-brother killed his mother. ML's dad knew from the beginning that ML wasn't his but he raised ML as his son.

Of Note: I read all the extras but they weren't as good as the main story. The feel of it was different than the main story and disrupts the novel's harmony when viewed as a whole. <<less

i really liked this story. I loved the character development of the ML. How he starts so fierce and intense and later reveals his sweet, childish side. I loved how we can see his thoughts and how he interacts with his dad. I wasn’t a fan of the FL but thats just because I can’t relate to her. She had absolutely no problems. She was very strong and learned to be less intense and dramatic and more realistic.

Wow. Excellent romance novel. First things first, the translator did an excellent job, only mistakes I encountered were some mixups with pronouns, but it was negligible. Both leads were highly entertaining and the drama was well done. (Not overly done). This is one of the few rebirth novels that didn’t kill me from boredom. (Not overly cliched either.)

The last chapters left a dissatisfaction (?) Within me due to their decisions when raising Jun.

I partially also think its because the story didn't go into detail about Our FL and ML and their daughter's bond/connection with each other, it more so felt like they do love her, but we (the readers) don't get any moment, and specific fond memories of Jun enjoying her parent's company.

Don't get me wrong I like Granpa Wen, best dad in any novels I've read.

This novel was so good, I wish there were more stories like this. I felt and was invested in each and every conflict and the story progressed so well that I had a hard time putting it down. FL and ML both were such engaging characters that you'd really root for them. Thank you to the translator for a job well done!

It was a good novel. Unexpectedly it was a slow burn.

the ML was a playboy who slept, picked up his pants then forgot who he slept with. The MC was poor, hard-working, and had zero experience with the opposite s*x.

MC didn’t make any mistakes in her past life. We can only say that she has a beautiful face and bad luck.

The most relationship I like in this novel is between the ML and his father

It’s one of few novels where we see that blood ties aren’t everything. The ML father wasn’t his biological father but he raised and loved him more than a biological one. Feelings can’t be born but created in daily life. Even a relationship needs an investment to work.

After that, the grandpa made her a training plan to become the heir. Even if the ML favors his son and doesn’t want his daughter to be an heir he doesn’t care

the thing I think was unbelievable is that the ML friends were supposed to be in their late twenties and taking their family business but they always have time to play like teenagers. When will they work?

I felt that I wanted a little more details about the MC and Ml. The novel just ended suddenly. Fortunately, there was extra.

It took 75 chapters to build up lead characters and only 5 to completely destroy them by making both leads complete weakwilled idiots, I'm seriously disappointed

To be fair the female lead was a bit s*upid from the getgo, never using the information she had but that's handwaved away by claiming she had no parents and grew up in a closed down school, but then the male lead is also turned into an idiot for no apparent reason for drama
