clearly a transmigrator

Things I liked:

MC is interesting and willing to work hard. Her previous life was really sad- a lot of people abused her and screwed her over, and in her first life she wasn't able to defend or protect herself from the people that hurt her. She would genuinely try to do her best so that the people she loved would love her back- it was just that she was originally was doing her best for people who were malicious (like her half-sister, former in-laws, her original husband).

She does a lot of charity and wants to help save the lives of people in the cases of natural disasters. She's taking the chance of rebirth to protect her family and to live a better life.

Lots of good side characters- a loyal maid, doting grandma, cool aunt and uncle, etc. My favorite is her cousin Nan Baozhu. She's a foodie and her claim to fame is being able to eat 20 braised pork knuckles in a single sitting, lol. She's a cinnamon roll.

Some things I didn't like:

MC Nan Baoyi dies when she was 17 and comes back to when she was 12. The ML is her adopted older brother who is 6 years older than her. So he's 18 and she's physically 12-years old when he first falls in love with her. I guess you can argue that she reincarnated from when she was 17 so there isn't a huge difference between their mental ages but.. still. he does things like kiss her while she's sleeping when she's a preteen. yikes. :/

ML is also super possessive and is the typical cold, God-of-War tyrant. He spoils /teases MC a lot but also says stuff about how he'd love to lock her in a golden cage. One point, a s*ave/servant girl said that she was cuter than the MC and he directly cuts her tongue out. The same s*ave/servant girl later glares at MC and is immediately killed...

Her family- the only problems are her half-brother and half-sister, and MC's biological father. Half-brother and half-sister are the villains of the story, but her dad is portrayed as someone who is harmless but super dumb... irritatingly so.

Otherwise this story also requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. Some of the things that happen in the story just.. don't make sense. Or you have a cannon fodder character that is unbelievably s*upid and killed off in increasingly improbable ways. Like, a cannon fodder believes he learns a powerful move of cultivation martial arts from a preteen actress on stage, later tries to knock down a speeding horse-drawn carriage with his 'new powers, ' and obviously ends up dead after the carriage runs him over. Things like that.
