The craziest thing Qiao Hui has ever done in her life was to marry Xu Yiyang, the righteous Film Emperor, at the age of 21.

Life after marriage is plain and boring. Mr. Xu will kiss her good morning and good night every day and will report to her from time to time when going out for filming.

But even in the most intimate times, his kiss was gentle and restrained.

Qiao Hui shared her feelings to her friend, “He spoils me as if he is spoiling his daughter.” In the end, it was still a little bit worse.

On the day Xu Yiyang’s new drama hit, he and the drama’s female protagonists were in the midst of the scandal; and countless CP(Couple) fans rejoiced all night.

Qiao Hui sat cross-legged on the bed, and after considering it again and again; she asked for a separation.

That same night, Xu Yiyang risked the violent stormy weather and rushed back home from where he was filming. His body was soaked and his eyes were flushed with rain.

“Why?”, shouted Xu Yiyang.

The girl was wearing pink bear pajamas and with a serious face said, “The gap between us is too wide No one will think we are as suitable as I think we are.”

The next day, a photo hit the hot search.

In the empty streets, [ the charming and self-assured Film Emperor embraced his newlywed wife and kissed her passionately.]

It's a short and sweet story. Full of fluff and not much drama. A good story to read when you want some sweetness.

There were some parts that seems to be missing or not shown in the story that feels incomplete especially

The ML and MC real first meeting. I don't know if it's because I MTL-ed this so I miss it. But it seems the ML meets MC years ago and their first meeting that MC remember is not really their first encounter.

Unfortunately, we never find out about their first encounter or why the ML loves the MC so much.

Overall, a short and simple love story. Guarantee to give you cavities. <<less

MTL-ed

It’s short, cute and sweet. Not much substance to it but my dog-food-loving self was satisfied. It’s something to read when you don’t feel like reading any complicated novels.

It's cute and all, but as many reviews said there are too many plotholes that doesn't make sense.

Flash marriage with a guy you just met? Sure, I can accept that plot since it's used in a lot of CN webnovels.

But a deeply in love devoted borderline obsessed guy when they literally just met a couple times with minimal interactions? Yeah, right.

It was hinted that they met once before the one time MC remembered, but so what? Their interactions were still so minimal. It would've made sense if he was only... more>> attracted to her or was obsessed with her body, but no, he just had to say "I love you" a few days after their marriage when they literally only met 2-3 times before marriage.

Psh. So unrealistic and s*upid. I doubt the author has any experience romantically. <<less

This-this is sooo sweet. As the other comments suggest this is too cute, our protagonists are clearly feeding us dog food. Take this novel lightly. It's just perfect for those who want cuteness and are tired of dog-blood novels. Overall it's short but a cute story.

One word to best describe this story is FLAT. Be it the plot or the characters. It's lighthearted and short but how should I put this? Maybe I expected more from it. For example, more career scenes? I mean, if the story is more of romance, I am very fine with it, but it would've been better if there were scenes where the FL gradually rises to stardom (not just described in a few words). Also, there are quite a lot of plot holes and unanswered questions like how did... more>> the calm, collected, and mature Best Actor Xu fall in love with the FL? Love at first sight? It seems shallow and unbecoming of the ML's character design. So when? The story is really more focused on romance so for those who want a more thrilling or satisfying plot with career, faceslapping, etc, don't bother.

Overall, it was short and rather dull but it's not that bad. At least, it's quite lighthearted and the characters' manners are online. Most especially, the extra chapters kinda add more touch as a finale to the story. 6.5/10 <<less

This book is terrible. An illogical, unimaginative, Mary Sue fantasy: "student marries her famous actor crush; he crazily dotes on her; they become the star couple adored by the nation."

Go ahead and try it if that appeals to you; its best feature is that it's short. If you'd rather read my further complaints:

I badly want to believe this was written by a very young teenager, it's that immature in both concept and execution. I was quite thrown to find the author was active for years before publishing this... Maybe it's a years-old self-insert fic from middle-school they decided to share with the world? Maybe something they let a 13-year-old cousin publish on their account?

... Either way, I'm convinced that MC was envisioned as a schoolgirl, but aged up to 20+ to be married (and bang hubby, which is alluded to with great enthusiasm though only occurring off-screen). The first acting job we follow her through is a "back to school" variety show. It covers nearly half the novel, and is much like a regular campus romance with two leads in a secret relationship. This sort of tepid roleplay is apparently MC's kink.

It does give us some routine face-slapping, when MC is accused of having cheated to get her stellar academic results, only to prove that she's a genuine genius! (Does this 'genius' ever do anything notably intelligent in the course of the novel? - haha, no.) Again during a talent show, where MC out-performs and humiliates a more experienced professional.

Sometimes I read otherwise-bad books because they provide satisfying face-slapping, but not this one. The green tea sister? - receives a literal slap in the face before fizzling out of the story, unable to bear the weight of her own s*upidity any longer. The cheating ex? - fleeting mentions of his regret over hugging the wrong thigh. The disgusting dad? - no comeuppance at all!

While discussing characters is normally what I like best, I can't even slag these ones off at length, since they're flatter than paper...

MC - a Poor Little Rich Girl: overflowing with beauty, wealth, and abilities; lack of parental love made her a cool aloof goddess, untouchable by mere mortals, yet in need of love to thaw her frozen heart. She starts out low-key because putting any effort into showing the world how incredible she is would be vulgar! However she shines so brilliantly that it doesn't take the world long to discover her despite her apathy.

ML - we're told repeatedly, "he acts so gentlemanly, but on the inside he's a beast!" - that's it, that's his whole characterisation. He exists to simp for MC, nothing more. At first he's somewhat restrained, to avoid frightening the ice maiden with his fervour. By the end, he's reduced to a mere shiny accessory of hers. I wonder if he's based on some unfortunate real actor, but with so little personality it's an idle speculation.

Antagonists - operate according to the lie principle that your parents/teachers probably told you when you were little: they're Just Jealous! MC is so admirable, of course there's no other reason for anyone to dislike her.

Other side characters - some seem to have a glimmer of personality when introduced, but ultimately all revolve around MC/ML; no sense of any independent existence. The clingy best friend exists to bootlick and relay gossip that MC herself is above paying heed to. The 'poison tongue' director (his alleged witticisms amount to shouting "Boring!" at everything) exists to point out how tirelessly attentive ML is. No matter whom, their existence serves to highlight some sparkling facet of the main leads.

"Comments from netizens" - here is an unparalleled example of why so many people loathe this feature in novels. Can't rightfully call it filler, since it's a necessary tool in furthering the author's agenda, but it certainly is tedious. Every comment helpfully informs us how fascinating everything we're seeing is! MC in particular is endlessly fascinating! The way she eats is fascinating! The way she idly browses her 'phone is fascinating! Let us never forget that MC & ML are the most inherently incredible, flawless, and fascinating beings in the whole of existence, and so says everyone! (Well, except a tiny handful of losers who are Just Jealous!)

... This review barely scratched the surface of my dissatisfactions, but I've given this novel enough of my time already so I'll end it here. In fairness I should note that I only briefly skimmed the final chapters/extras, but saw enough to convince me that everything got worse the longer it carried on.

Short fluffy story. A good read if you want a sweet short read.

There wasn't much conflict aside from FL's love rival and her green tea half-sister.

As mentioned, they married only after 2 (technically, because she considered it to be 3) meetings. Might have been good if there was a detailed back story of how they decided to get married, but the whole story focuses on their married life anyway so that's fine.

There is also some 'family conflict' with her father being a womanizer and neglecting his children. At the end, I don't know if he could be considered a changed person after supporting his daughter's marriage.

The Novel is so satisfying to read if you love fluffiness and no heavy drama. Those so called antagonists realized their shortcomings/mistakes in life. This novel is really all about Xu Xiyan and Qiao Hui’s throwing a huge amount of dog food to us readers...

This is really sweet like I’ll rate this as 4.5/5? This is due to some issues that I think did not get resolved or like no further explanation.

1. Flash marriage. I’m not a Chinese and not sure if this is common but it’s too weird for me especially ML said that the meeting at that forest, if I’m not mistaken, was not the first time he met her. There’s no further info aside from that.

Like the little brother said, there might be an inside story but I did not see it. Hopefull this can be found in extras. (I read until chp 68)

2. I can relate with the Father issue but well I was hoping there will be a text or two that will like inform us readers that she became independent like her team’s paycheck came from her? Lol this is just me noticing that.

There’s actually too few conflicts that’s why I can say that this is a sweet story. Lol <<less
