Lucian, a quick transmigrator, cheerfully escapes to the next world after completing his mission of deceiving the protagonist (and others) in the previous world by masquerading as the Holy Son. Before dying, he reveals his incubus lineage and exposes his dark history. Overnight, he transformed from an innocent white lotus into a sinister and cunning black moonlight, completely filling everyone’s hatred meter.

Running away after flirting is indeed exciting. He can’t go back anyway. ^+^

……Until he wakes up to discover that he has not only lost contact with the system but has also returned to the previous world. He wears an anklet that seals his power, his incubus bloodline awakened halfway, with demon runes, white hair, and red eyes.

Not only that, he finds himself trapped in a high tower within a castle, unable to even open the windows.

And the owner of the castle is…

None other than the terrifying protagonist hell-bent on revenge, destruction, and killing him.

I binged the main story with MTL in two days. What a ride. Here's a quote (MTL) :

"He once thought that love was tolerance, but now he discovered that love is cannibalism, exploration, and aggression. He wanted to know everything about Lucian. He wanted very much to study... everything about Lucian."

Please mind the tags, since this novel contains dub-con/r*pe between the main couple (not at the very start, it takes a while for them to start having s*x, and it's not explicit). The MC (Lucian) gets imprisoned, chained and... more>> choked several times by the ML (Wade). Despite that, I felt that Lucian was the one with the upper hand most of the time... he's a little sh*t lol

Most of the story focuses on the mix of love and hate that Wade has for Lucian, and Lucian tricking and manipulating him while indulging in his attention. It's a twisted relationship, and it sure had me invested. I came to really like both Lucian and Wade, and cried a little by the end.

Does Wade find out the truth about Lucian?

Yes. Lucian violates the rules and shows him everything since he became a transmigrator, all his past missions, including Wade's and his plans to manipulate him to obtain the 100% hate. Later on, Wade also finds out about Lucian's original life.

Is it HE?

Yes! Those last chapters made me so emotional, that's true love. A well-deserved happy ending. Spoilers for more detailed info on the ending: Wade was about to turn into a full "God" and lose all his emotions and humanity, but he refused to let his feelings for Lucian go and started to destroy himself. To save him, Lucian gave him his QT system, damaging his soul and reversing to his original, disfigured body (Wade said he was still beautiful </3). Before he died, he told Wade to find him in other worlds. Wade (as a god of creation) spent thousands of years looking for Lucian's reincarnations and caring for him: a tree, a flower, a fish, a cat... until Lucian was reincarnated into his "original" life. There, Wade cared for him since childhood and took revenge for him (although Lucian hadn't been harmed in this life), and Lucian eventually recovered his memories (unsurprisingly, he's still a little sh*t)

The story isn't perfect. The secondary characters are mostly forgotten once their parts are over and only reappear briefly, and there are some loose ends, but I give it 5 stars anyway because I really liked the romance aspect and character development of the MC and ML. <<less

At first, it seems like the usual enemies to lovers trope but no, since MC's thought is really unpredictable.

MC, as a collector of hatred is really cunning, heartless, hateful and unlawful but he's not evil. While ML is heartless and maniac.

The love development is slow since they are not aware of their feelings, but they're comfortable kissing without love, which eventually develops to H stuffs (still without love). They're really degenerate.

Will continue when I have free time

I read this novel in its original language Completed, and I gotta say, it's absolutely amazing.

Of course, it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you can't ignore how gripping the author's writing is.

To put it simply... it's a sadomasochistic story. The main character has a past full of wounds and is scared of love, but they end up with someone who can heal all those wounds... though along the way, they end up hurting each other in new ways.

Just a heads up, grab some tissues before you dive... more>> into this novel! How you use 'em is up to you~~ <<less

A good story, but I must suggest to wait for the translations.

It is understandable but you won't be enjoying the entire story.

I would recommend you reading this.

The story started off really fast. Acting like an idiot and cheating on ML isn't new in Chinese novels, but it's handled very well. Sometimes it bothers me when characters act foolishly, because the character acting foolishly literally keeps lowering their IQ, as if they think they won't be caught, and their escape attempts are delayed. But MC delivers what he promises. I know he's smart, even though he acts like an idiot. Despite being humiliated, strangled, and even tried to kill, I still feel MC is superior.

ML, on the... more>> other hand, is a bit slow to discover his feelings, but he loves to cling to MC. The way he shows love is a bit physically painful, but I expected that. I believe he fits the description of a black flag. He truly carries his flag well. I feel the weight of the character. There were some tense moments, but I think he softens a bit in later chapters. This may be because their relationship develops.

In short, the writing is really high quality. ML and MC aren't empty characters. It's a good read, but I can't say it's among my best.

There were some fan favorites that bothered me. I don't know if anyone noticed, but the story started to resemble the novel "Reader and Protagonist Definitely Have to Be in True Love" in some places.

  • For example, MC collects the blood of 10 other races and begins awakening their powers. On the other side, there were 8 races, and the main character was a hybrid of all eight races, awakening their bloodlines.
  • If I remember correctly, the first blood awakened in this book was lich, and it was the same in the other book.
  • MC and ML went to the demon domain, and ML had to carry ML on his back. In the other book, the main characters were a bit more miserable and penniless, but that's how they developed.
  • ML took demon blood here, and the same thing happened in the other book.
  • The eye color events and the feudal structure in the demon domain were similar.
  • Or the holy son and the exile from the church events were similar.
I think those who read it know, my suspicions led me to this: I suspect the doujinshi in Du Ze's possession.

These were the parts that bothered me. But I still think it's a good book to read. It's not really empty. It's not one of those mass-produced, time-wasting novels that rewrite classics with a few twists. I suggest you read the first chapter and give it a try. <<less
