And here comes the earth golems in later chapters! They are the repairer golems. And apparently, they gain consciousness / have personalities?! (MC seems to be unaware of this, as of ch.159)

One time he mistakenly grant citizenship to a vampire since it's too much for him to check one by one (there's like hundreds to thousands survivors coming in time to time if not everyday). That vampire k*lled several people, MC barely noticed on time to rescue the children of those victims, but he still felt guilty and had nightmares.

Also, while the MC is certainly not some pure innocent sweet saint, I LOVE the balance between his humane-ness and his rational thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if the system (or whatever it is) chose to give him this ability for his rationality.

E.g.) There was a cult leader that managed a territory of over 100K people. MC thoroughly investigated everything first. He'd leave them be if they're doing good (bc why would he take them over when they're already living their lives?), or take over if they're bad. The first time he came into contact with a citizen of that cultist territory, a woman seemed to be brainwashed, which is obviously not a good sign–yet MC didn't immediately act bc literally over 100K people are depending on that cult leader to survive. It was only after thorough investigations, making sure that it would be better for the 100K ppl to come under him, that MC acted upon to take over the territory.

Ch. 150+, more territories led by other powerful people emerged. Similarly, MC didn't bother annexing good territories (though they do end up going to MC on their own accord since it's much better living in MC's domain).

The things that the author failed to research or put basic effort into start to build up over time - basic failures in math are common, bodies of people who died weeks to months ago are still fresh somehow, society collapsed within a day despite most monsters being easily killed by anybody with a gun, etc.

The main character's abilities influence people's thoughts and perception of him, making the story more "cult building" than "city/town building." This gets more and more apparent over time.

When the main character really shows off how much of an as*hole he is, and the cultish things become excessive: His powers cover 10-ish apartment buildings, and he has at most 3-4 thousand people sheltering with him. He has plenty of resources, yet keeps basic things like water, gas for cooking/heating, and electricity locked off for most people (outside of some insufficient communal locations) aside from the most powerful ones. He keeps new refugees stacked FIFTY people per apartment, and threatens them with expulsion (i.e. Nearly certain death to monsters) if they complain about it. And then his cult members act like he's a saint for letting the one guy he kicked out to threaten the rest of the group back in.

At this point, this number of high-rise apartment buildings should be able to easily fit, at an estimate, 10 thousand people or more with only 5 per apartment. The influence of his powers is still increasing exponentially, and he has plenty of resources to give everybody access to electricity, running water, and gas through his ability. But he chooses to stuff way too many people into too small of an area, and keeps basic resources locked away for no good reason, yet he's treated like and portrayed as a saint. If he was a villain, I would be fine with it. But the author clearly wants him to be the second coming of Jesus Christ. That cognitive dissonance breaks my immersion and suspension of disbelief. What started out as a somewhat interesting community-building story fell off hard, IMO.

At first the character doesn’t have any objective aside from wanting to find his family but being incapable of doing anything

Once he realizes he can give people more power and they may help him in using those outside his domain in trade for the food and security he is very fixated in finding his family but still acts smart and patient to not put the (future) vanguard at risk, he never hides his intentions but since he himself does not have knowledge about the extent of his own power or how it will develop in the future he prefers not to communicate much (he’s also smart enough to not show stuff ig, someone could see him as a threat)

There’s a lot of guilt before and after he finds his family, he is not the only one who has lost family out there but he does do the best with the information he has to try to help the others too

there is even a plot with a mother who wants her dead son’s resurrection and it went in a very interesting direction if I say so myself, the resolution is one of my favorite moments

after his only objective is met (his family) he drifts for some chapters with vague objectives of helping until there’s a catalyst for him to realize he can do something for real to help and them he locks in trying to save as much people as he can

He has very absolute powers over people on his domain but he does hide the extent of it even when it would be easier to just kill some threat infiltrated there

he puts up ways to give people second chances and ends up assimilating people in his territory as long as their crimes where reasonable for survival

He gives rights to previous residents of their homes, which sound very low bar but it’s an apocalyptic novel so I do think it’s a shining point for him

he does not see himself as a good and kind person, mostly because he is ready to kill people if they’re a threat, much like the monsters but he still has nightmares about the hard decisions he had to take in one occasion there (even if the people sacrificed in a trolley problem-like situation ended up being participant in a insane mu*derous plot)

He can’t directly do the fighting so there is some concern about asking people to blood their hands for him but his retainers agree to his stance

once he has ways to meddle in things outside the barrier he immediately goes on to fight himself

He delegated a lot of administration and mostly puts his own focus in expansion at first but once he has the means he also personally starts to help with rescue operations

He is a bit of a workaholic so his relationships and down time suffers a lot but there’s also some attention from the author there

MC is literally turning into a deity as he gets more powerful, and it should not surprise readers that people would deify and worship the person who is singularly saving the world. Also, since he powers up as people trust him, and he can power others up in return, hard to expect him to actively discourage that behavior.

I don't mind him being untouchable in his dwelling, but EVERY time there's even the slightest sense of crisis, he gets exactly what he needs from the system to resolve it easily- be it a level up, skill points, new skill, etc. There is basically no tension, no risk of losing a major character or mass casualties as the result of losing a battle, etc. The last chapter is LITERALLY titled "Deus ex Machina", like come on!

Like, how did he stop the black aura? With the power of trust?

In the ending the MC stops the 'catastrophe', which is this dark mass in the sky that swallows everything, by using his powers to envelop the whole world which also makes himself weaker. The problem with this is that the 'catastrophe' is still there. It's just staying in the corner of the dimension, waiting for the MC to slip up or make a mistake, so he has to be vigilante. From this, all of his super strong abilities are now only enveloping the one building he lives in.
