It's such a sad fact of life that parodies like these have to start off great and then get bad really fast. It started out well (up to about chapter 10) - really funny and self-aware - and then suddenly took a turn for the worst and became really unreasonable (things like his father never questioning how he suddenly lost all his martial arts after sparring with him and just leaving the room telling him to train more) and the humor disappeared around the same time. The tragedy at the... more>> end of volume 1 was what did it for me. I thought it was a joke but the subsequent chapters confirmed that it wasn't.

It was such an abrupt genre switch that I didn't know if the author was being serious or not. Only after reading on for another 15 chapters did I realize that the author did in fact just kill off one of the most likeable characters in the story. The humor never came back either and the story just went random directions. And the MC never regains any of his powers. He just remains a useless idiot throughout. Lots of things that make no sense never get explained like how the previous owner of the body randomly shows up during a fight and never reappears afterwards. Can't stomach this anymore.

I don't have enough material for a thorough review, however... chapters 1-10 give me a good taste.

The story has a likeness, similar to that of History's Number 1 Founder. The differences, are quite far from it though, as this story contains HN1F's humour and combines it with 2 other plot types.

The two plot types are the average rebirth stories, but in another body style, rather than growing up. The first is the gaining power from nowhere plot, while combing it with the second type of plotline "Histories Strongest Senior Brother"
