It's a wonderful novel I would recommend to everyone amd is one of my all time favourite because

    • The novel follows gradually
    • It's purely romance
    • Loved the growth and understanding of male lead and female lead
Overall I had a wonderful experience of love, joy, excitement and happiness

The translators did a wonderful job the translation was wonderful

When I found this story the day before, I instantly got hooked.

First, it's because the main pairing is soooo different from each other and makes me really want to watch them mature together under the bond called 'marriage'. And so, I MTL-ed almost the whole thing in one sitting.

The story is sweet, with enough fluff and little angst. What I liked the most is how the pair is changing from their old-selves to the brand new and better version bit by bit as the story goes.

I read this alrdy. I dont know how many times I reread this but everytime I see this I was like: did I finish this? Then I reread it only to find I did in fact read it alrdy. I just cant recall any of what happened 😂 so now, im giving a review. I just hope when I encounter this again I could remember that I read it alrdy 😂

It was okay. Decent. Good. But I've been reading a lot of romance novels, be it smut or fluff that this style of writing or the overall vibe it gave off was kind of weak. In short, it was kind of boring in terms of my own taste. However, you should still give it a try to see if this fits your taste. Afterall, I can't really nitpick anything out of this bec for me this is just a casual read.

This is an almost tooth achingly sweet romance. Almost boringly so. And yet it also does a fairly good job of depicting a realistic marriage where their greatest problems arent melodramatic twists like hidden siblings, long lost first loves, or secret identities. No the biggest challenge they face is communication and adapting theirs lives to each other. They are very different people. But it works. There is some suspension of disbelief involved in the descriptions of ML. He’s an adonis genius director. And he marries a normal (if imaginative) school... more>> teacher. I really enjoyed this novel. I saw a comment saying that the ML is perfect and I'm just wondering how. The ML is a person that is great at his job but he's not perfect, he can't communicate as well as he would like, he also faces problems and has short-comings like everyone else. The FL and ML are perfect for each other. The FL is very straightforward and most of the time carefree and confident. I sincerely love reading this heart warming novel. I have read it twice. I plan to reread it again in the near future.

Gu Ting Chuan and Yi Ran got married first, way before they even talked about love and felt for each other. I just love reading how the relationship between Gu Ting Chuan and Yi Ran grows and gets stronger throughout the novel. 💖💖 They're really an adorable and caring couple. They complement each other well in their relationship.💕💕

This novel is 1 of my all time favorites. 👍

Same with Nelle's review, I also stop at chapter 15 and just couldn't bring myself to read on... it's just soo boring, male lead action also not appealing at all to me and female lead personality kinda too meek for my taste (even when she is supposed to be pretty confident in her self)

clearly the ML wasn't prepared to be in a relationship while MC wanted to get married I thought she was looking for a partner+ loving relationship but ended up marrying the ML cuz she was sexually frustrated so it was pretty ridiculous and not my cup of tea

A really enjoyable read. The romance was mature and heartwarming. The plot happens quite quickly (flash marriage) but it was nice to see how they learn about each other and eventually fall in love.

Both characters are very sensible and know what they want. The translation is also really well done.

Such a heartwarming novel. I love the FL character, simple and pure. And the story is just about everyday life, not so complicated but meaningful, and it teach us some lessons too. One of my favorite lines in this novel is; "After all, movies were movies, and life.. Had always been life". I want to make a novel as simple as this someday :). Dear translator, thanks for the hardwork. I hope you'll translate another heartwarming novel just like this one in the future. I'm cheering for you :3

The story is quite cute and fluffy. I dont know why my ratings are only 4 stars when it should've been 5 stars, must have slipped my fingers.

When I read the mtl I only have one line of review here. Lol. I just finished reading the translated one which was much better since I was able to grasp everything well considering that the translations were done properly, thanks to our xixi (the translator).

I like the fact that our MC didnt come from the entertainment and is an outsider to it. It gives a whole new vibe and a fluffy one. Our MC is not perfecr of course, she's had improvement as the story progress. She's very likable!!!

so here's the greatest part. The ML started out really dry (in a sense that it'sbecause he still hasnt fallen for our MC not a bad character) it's very realistic how he changes as a man and also finds new things bring a beginner as a husband. The fact that the aufhor made him havs flaws is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy great for us readers since it makes us more closer to this story unlike other noves here (EHEM 1000+ chapter novels out there with nonsense storyline)

Despite the low reviews I decided to read it because I thought simply that it still depends on one’s preference. Unfortunately, 3 days in and I am still struggling to finish the story.

Idk if it was the translation, but I felt like there are some things that I failed to understand or there were messages that failed to be conveyed because of how it was translated.

Anyway, I will still finish this nonetheless.

4.5 - A solid story that achieved everything it set out to do.

This story may have many shoujo clichés, but the josei elements are just as strong. The plot follows a couple who married somewhat impulsively after they had a good impression following a few short chance meetings. The main focus is the development of their relationship and the obstacles they encounter adjusting to each other’s personalities and (more importantly) their careers. The main couple had to overcome themselves more than either of the antagonists.

Mr. Gu’s career setback was a big turning point and a much more poignant plotline than the scheming actress trying to get into his bed. The method used to help him recover was a little too much of a gamble; I caught my breath when the author describes a bottle of high dosage pain medication in the room. They are very lucky that the stimulation successfully broke him out of his negative state. I like that the MC had consulted a professional for advice, rather than acting randomly, and never attempted to use that kind of ‘threat’ again.

I think the novel succeeds in avoiding the brain dead responses typical of dramatic shoujo plots. This story has a continuous thread of normalcy that tones down the over-the-top descriptions of the male protagonist. It solidly grounds Mr. Gu who would otherwise be a typical Gary Stu character. The author clearly wants the audience view Mr. Gu from the perspective of the female lead and look past the superficial veneers of wealth and charm when considering a long term relationship. Like Yi Ran said, “the relationship won’t work if the painting styles don’t match.” I paraphrased, but the author’s message is clear. Long term relationships require affinity, communication, and continuous effort from both parties.

This may not be an outstanding work, but it is a complete one with good feels and a satisfying ending. <<less

This is basically a tale of a neglected wife painting a romantic married life.

The MC's more pitiful than the s*x scenes in this story. While the author took time crafting spicy scenes between the couple, the MC lived off morsels of affection her absentee husband threw at her.

4.5/5 Calm, non-angsty read on a primary school teacher FL and a rich director ML. I like that the author did not make either FL nor ML's career totally smooth sailing, and that FL and ML did have some non-communication. However, in terms of their relationship, it was resolved in a relatively unclear manner without fully communicating. It is in some ways realistic, but I just felt that FL never fully conveyed her worries and just let ML figure out on his own. But overall, other than that it was... more>> pretty much non-angsty and nothing major happens, this was actually just a very nice calming and somewhat cute read. Not very memorable but very nice. <<less

I found this story quite boring tbh. The moments between the main leads were not fluffy or sweet, they were just plain romantic. Idk if this line made sense but seriously I found their interactions boring and shallow. I have read many stories of "married couple romance" and I can say that most of them were better than this.
