Xie Zhongxing raised his eyes and looked at him in confusion. The look in his eyes seemed to ask: Who are you?
Qin Zhongyue thought of Xie Zhongxing’s dictatorship after their marriage and shuddered. He then maintained a look of righteousness, “I am just a kind-hearted person who does not wish to reveal his name!”
Later, Qin Zhongyue asked Xie Zhongxing shyly, “If we get married, can you give me a thousand yuan a day as spending money?”
Xie Zhongxing, “?”
Qin Zhongyue, “…..Five hundred is also okay.”
NB: The actual title is literally “The Sand Sculpture Gong was Reborn”. Sand sculpture (沙雕) is a homonym for 傻屌 (Sha Diao) which is a derogatory term for an idiot/a fool. Sand sculpture is often used with a more humourous/joking intention to describe something or someone as silly or foolish.

PLOT:
- It was written quite good, in a way, it kinda felt like a modern (not angsty) erha because ML (xie zhongxing) is EXACTLY like Chu wanning haha. It was fun overall, very lighthearted, a good read when bored or traumatised.
CHARACTERS:- It baffles me how utterly foolish someone could be (it's in the title!) but it's funny and cute.. hehe
- ML is pretty okay, I quite like him but I can't help but feel exasperated in some bits, BUT HE IS CUTE. Wouldn't say he's badass or anything though.
- In that regard, the dad ahhh!!!! he's the coolest god he's so badass. #loveqinxingqian
ROMANCE:- The MC loooves ML. He's smitten. It's pretty cute, I did get the occasional butterflies early on but as it went on I felt like it was a bit dragged out.
- As for the past life..
cons:- I'll put aside the foolish MC with no growth aside for now because seriously without Shi Hanyu... I'm concerned. As for ML, especially in the past life I felt a lot of actions were just there for plot convenience because are you serious!? ML is clearly highly intelligent with a high EQ, following this character setting none of the misunderstandings in the past life should've happened. but oh well!~
Entertaining book, especially at the start where MCs foolishness was pretty fun but it did get a bit boring at the end. But it's perhaps because it wasn't 'realistic' enough for me. Which is my issue haha. Overall rating : 3.5/5 personal rating: 2/5I know XZ and QZ's father didn't like his mouth, but I found it really endearing. He never had ill intentions and was always trying to do what he thought they wanted to hear, which in his eyes was just the truth. Sure he could have said some things nicer but that's what made him both sweet and funny. Especially him telling his father he will go bald! Or him telling XZ about the ring. It may have ruined the moment a little but both times came from a place of love and what he thought they would want to know.
I do agree with another comment about not liking how he got the QZ drunk to find out the truth though. QZ really didn't want to get drunk and even though it was needed to find the truth I wish he had maybe tried to talk to QZ first instead. But that's one of my only complaints.
I know some didn't like how XZ's mom treated her other son but I do understand. She never showed her love and at the same time he was basically a child born from r***. She didn't want him or the marriage. It just happened. Sure that may have influenced him into being more like his father but everyone in that family treated her like garbage, him included. I feel like if he had tried to be there for his mother while he was growing up she would have probably loved him. But none of them cared about her until it was going to benefit them. I'm glad she got her happy ending the 2nd time.
I'm happy Zhong Yiming got his happy ending. What his mother did was horrible and the fact that our MC was able to help him tell off his mother made me so happy. The mother really needed help. It's sad to think the in the 1st life he died without knowing his father was going to support him no matter what. It breaks my heart that the mother let her son die while his father probably was distraught knowing his ex caused this and he never got to tell him everything will be ok.
some real MVPs in both lives though were Teacher Wang and our MC's father. QX really loved his son and even though all he did was use his money, he knew that he raised him to be as kindhearted as can be. He didn't try to put pressure on him yet he also was so proud when he got into a top university. He loved him so much and didnt let his family fully walk all over him. He cared for them but knew that he was the one with the power and that they should know better than to disagree with the hand that is helping you.
And Teacher Wang T_T I want to cry she was the best in both lives. She truly cared for ML. She didn't want him to have to live at that horrible place and even tried to contact him later in the 1st life. If it wasn't for her who knows what would have happened to XZ. She truly was like his real mother, always looking out for him. I love her so much.
