(Everyone with frightened faces: She dares to provoke Lou Ming?!)
Chen Yu pushed Lou Ming onto the sofa and kissed him for a while.
Chen Yu said: “Don’t worry third brother I will be responsible for you.”
Lou Ming was stunned.

that I wanted more fluffy moments between the leads. We didn't even get snu-snu.
This might fall flat for many people because the main character's a hot-tempered, hit-then-ask/think, unapologetic type of person, not excessively so, but still to the point that it can bother you.
On top, the age gap between the main couple spans over a decade (M30, F18). Romance and school life are sub-plots. So if you don't like these types of MCs and have problems with more prominent age gap couples, this might not be for you. A shame, considering that the ML, for a rare turn, is a caring, warm, tender, thoughtful type of ML. The story excels in making the side characters and their own story shine, though, which in return, dims the main plot, turning it flat messy melodramatic clichés.
Without the comedy that was the glue holding everything up together, the moments shared between the CP were awfully boring. The supposed highlight towards the end (for about 30-40chapters) was a laborious track uphill.
The author dangling exposition in front of the reader's noses, giving some bread crumbs here and there was rather irritating than intriguing.
Mostly also because it spanned over too many chapters. Like walking half a step and pausing for 10 minutes and that on loop til the end.
The mini theater and side character's love life most certainly stole my attention away and I couldn't be bothered about how the main couple's life played out.
There was a scene where someone had pointed out how fed up they were with the whole, you live, I live; you die, I die/Romeo-Juliet kind of braindead romance.
Ironically the main couple's relationship is exactly that.
They went from hanging out casually at home (at times not even in the same room) to making out, playing the suspension bridge effect card here and there and boom, ML loves her so much he can't let go and has to marry her, they'd risk their lives for each other.
The narrow options for ML def. Don't help MC's case:
She's the only female who's not part of his family and can deal with his physique. Otherwise, there was no way for him to get to know other women or interact with other women of suitable age. ML believed for the longest time he'd be a short-lived single dog and he wasn't about to sacrifice someone for his solitude.
Conveniently, a lively, outgoing, and evil-spirit-aura-immune girl of age appears right before the lonely, sickly martyr.
Entangling their previous lifetimes into this whole situation when they barely had any proper romantic progress other than making out and spending a lot of time under a roof, it's a little bit of a fast shot, to say the least.
Nice for the supernatural plot, yes, awful for the romantic side. Not to mention the darn plot twist of the main plot is based off of a late 90s blockbuster. Kinda lazy.
