People mocked him, calling him a ‘deadbeat’, but he had no wish to change.
Until one day, he dreamt of a swordsman… It was a dream about a talentless man who had been training by swinging his sword for decades.

To find your own reasons and/or motivations for your goals instead of inheriting them from friends and family.
MC wastes a decade of his life doing nothing but sleeping and eating and is able overcome all his lazy behavior by not thinking of the past and training hard in the present.
These advices are applicable to young adults and adults too who have wasted decade or two or even three in various ways, the more the time is wasted the harder it's to find your own path but it’s possible to mend your bad habits and work towards goal as long as one doesn’t gloom in past mistakes but learn from even when there’s nothing to gain from it.
I dislike the time skip when he was still needed to show his potential and prove to everyone around him that he was reliable. I usually don't have any problem with a time skip, but every story with it put it on the right time, not like this story. Just feel so disappointed, I was hoping for a good story with good tension but nope T_T
