As a good-looking Beta with a good family background, Duan Jiayan has lived a smooth sailing life for more than ten years, until he met Lu Xingci in high school.

Lu Xingci’s family situation is better than his, he is taller than him and plays basketball better than him. Needless to say, his grades are a whole tier above Duan Jiayan’s. Even his friends can’t help but occasionally praise Lu Xingci.

Most importantly, every girl that Duan Jiayan has set his sights on, all admitted that they have liked Lu Xingci for a few years already.

Since then, Duan Jiayan has never thought well of Lu Xingci, till the day he received his new medical report. He is a late-blooming Omega, and because he became an Omega this late, it came with dire consequences. Now Alphas will feel the need to beat up other people whenever they come near Duan Jiayan. He himself is now allergic to every Alpha’s pheromone, except Lu Xingci’s.

This is my first ever omegaverse and I finished the mtl in just few days.

The MC and ML was both cute and loving to each other and reminds me of a certain couple haha cold and chaotic.

The fandom is insanely large I noticed there's like 17 fanfiction in a04 and many pictures of them if there is a English book of this I might consider buying <3
It's a light read if u want a chaotic and fun one

Gu Li is so cute especially when she accidentally shouted in the microphone XD

i really like both the MC and the (poor) ml, their relationship is fun and light and the ML doesnt let things drag on for too too long hahaha though it is a typical school bully tyrant shou x aloof and desirable gong who totally simps over mc

I love the story.. its a story of the ML being really patient and understanding of the MC without smothering him. The MC is a tyrant/bully? beta turned omega who got close with the alpha ML due to his situation (with them having 99% compatibility). The ML is very yielding and caring when it comes to the MC but impatient when it comes to his friends. Hope for more updates...

In general I'm not a fan of ABO for various reasons (including power unbalance, feminisation, mpreg, etc etc), but sometimes there are novels that are written well enough I don't mind the genre.

This one is passable as a romance, but the amount of bullying from ML towards the MC makes me uncomfortable. The romance may be alright and somewhat sweet, but there's still that annoying feel of an unequal relationship that is quite common in this genre, even if it's to a lesser extent than some other stories.

Actually, I've never read any ABO novels because most of ABO content that I knew are so full of mature content, and I don't really enjoyed them. But later then my friends recommends me this novel! AND WAAAH IT'S SO GOOD, the world is balanced! Except the underage drinking (which kinda makes sense since they are rich kids LOL), it's a reaaaally good novels! For those who's craving more light fluff high school love, this novel is really recommended!

sigh... it's been a while since I've read somthing lighthearted. No dog blood drama, no revenge or face slapping, everything is just relaxing and sweet and cute. They fall in love gradually and step by step. And the ending wasn't rushed which I really like. All in all a reccomended read.

I actually quite liked this novel, which was really different from my expectations when I first read it.

It's quite nice for an ABO, the ML is caring, no forcing, and there's also that kind of Alpha-ish CP moments, if you like that kind of kinky stuff.

The romance isn't really in depth, so it's supposed to be quite light with some random serious moments. And the overall novel is quite fluffy and comfortable to read for me.

There are some parts that are confusing, and the supposed "dense-ness" of the MC might... more>> seem confusing or just s*upid for some readers.

Its a good novel, in my personal opinion, but this novel is one of those novels that some out really different depending on the reader, so check out a few chapters or reviews before reading it, I guess. <<less

I enjoyed this story a lot. They went from enemies, to friends, to lovers and it was fun to read. My only complaint, and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the transition from friends to lovers was not convincing to me at all. I didn’t mind the change in DJ’s character after their relationship status changed. The banter between the leads was still there and entertaining. It just didn’t feel like DJ’s feelings had developed into love. DJ was straight to begin with and expressed many... more>> times that he just wanted to be good bro’s with LX. Instead of his feelings changing, it felt more like he gave into pressure and decided to accept the other’s feelings. I didn’t dwell on that though because I really enjoyed reading about this couple to the end. <<less

The story is sweet, the banter with the students is cute and entertaining but I found that the development of the main characters could have dug deeper which is why I rated it lower than most (I would probably give it 3.5 if it was possible). It felt like the MC went from 100% straight to one heart flutter to being ok with being with a man. At 16 the gender dysphoria and the mind shift required would have been much less easy. He went from not accepting to completely... more>> won over in the span of a chapter and it felt a bit jarring to me. As for the ML he was very considerate but felt a bit 1 dimensional.

It's a lovely feel good story. Definitely worth the read if you need something sweet and fluffy <<less

This is good. I haven’t read much books (ABO) that the Alpha showcase his possessiveness and gentleness so openly. I love this book. Love how when Lu Xingci knows what he wants, he goes for it. 4.5/5 ⭐️

Extremely sweet and fluffy; really the only tension is about when the MC Duan Jiayan will finally get a clue (this is a compliment, it was exactly what I was in the mood for). However, this means the last third after they get together is not as interesting to read, but at that point I did want to know the happy ending!

This is a sweet ABO novel with a strong MC, it is similar to the novel The Short Story of ShaoWang. There are no dog blood drama, their families are supportive, it’s a slice of life novel. All the characters are great! Nice light read.

This story is generally good. It’s sweet and fluffy for all those who desire a comfort story. It also tackles some sensitive topics for those who want a little more depth. To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of romcom. This story could definitely be the definition of romcom so I guess my view on it is somewhat biased. It felt boring and not exciting. One of my favorite omegaverse stories set in high school so far!

Things that I loved:

  1. I love how Jiayan's and Xingci's individual personalities didn't change as they fell for each other!

    Sure, Jiayan got more studious and Xingci stopped being an all-work-no-play kinda guy, but Jiayan still kept his mischievousness and Xingci his discipline.

  2. Speaking of character development, I love how along with the initial, serious rivalry that turned into playful rivalry between Jiayan and Xingci, they got sweeter and more romantic with each other. I personally dislike it when rivals-to-lovers or enemies-to-lovers tropes forget that a relationship development involves romance; of course, the characters shouldn't change who they are, but there should be a noticeable difference in how they interact with their lover—be it favoritism, gentleness, playfulness, physical touch, quality time, etc.
  3. Xingci's self-control! He took his time in pursuing Jiayan,

    and even apologized immediately after that one time he overdid the temporary marking before they got together.

  6. I love how Jiayan and Xingci had good friends that they hung out with outside of their relationship. Their friends always looked out for them not just in romantic pursuits, but in other life endeavors as well!
  7. The high school situations in this story were nicely written! I felt like I was part of the class in all their ups and downs. It was also funny reading their banter and attempts to skip class!

    the conflict with the rapist-turned-stalker was resolved in 2-3 chapters (if I remember correctly). Either way, I love that it wasn't dragged out and that Jiayan was able to beat the sh*t out of that human scum before he was imprisoned. Felt sooo good...

  9. Last but not the least, I love how once they got together, Xingci never talked down on Jiayan whenever they were having s*x. Not once did he make Jiayan feel any lesser for being the bottom!
I'm being biased here, but I wish the story (or at least the extras) was longer! Maybe add more slice-of-life situations in university, and more fluffy, domestic scenes post-university? But I get that the author didn't want to drag out the plot, and for that I salute her!

You should definitely read this web novel if you're looking for a feel-good, rivals-to-lovers omegaverse story!

Read the raws for this back in mid-2019 and enjoyed this. Just read the complete EN translation (finally!) and still enjoyed it. Can't believe it's been almost 4 years already.

A satisfying take on the ABO genre. You get your typical overbearing alpha, but his self control and stickiness are really endearing. Our MC takes awakening as an omega in stride which I have immense respect for, especially as someone who has always been strong. He still remains strong and steadfast as an omega, despite showing his weakness to his ML,... more>> always spreading dog food. He is quite dense though, probably the only annoying part of the story where you wait 10-20 chapters for him to catch the obvious signs or for him to think through his feelings. Afterward though he constantly spoils and indulges the ML, which is adorable. Would have liked more extras about the two of them. <<less

A light, slice-of-life read where it doesn’t get boring and the MC is consistently badass (and doesn’t become soft and innocent when he starts to like the ML). ML falls first, is a bit loose in the head at times, but MC knowingly pampers him. It’s mostly focused on school-life, there’s not much to say (no riveting plot) but it was very pleasant and I do recommend it.

This is not a typical ABO story. Actually, I don't like ABO stories; usually they are full of discrimination, violence, and abuse, but this one was pretty good. The story is good, the relationship is healthy, the characters are funny, and the writing is good. It is a simple story, but it captures the youthful spirit of young people really well. The author described teenagers their hopes, fears, and pressure—all those emotions you feel before graduation—very realistically. I even became a little bit nostalgic at some point.

Apart from that, both... more>> the main character and the main lead were also lovable and cute. ML, despite being Omega, wasn't fragile and weak; instead, he was strong, willful, and charismatic. ML has his episodes of possessiveness and drinking vinegar, but overall he is respectful and truly loves MC. Side characters were hilarious and acted like true teenagers. I really disliked MC's mother; she was too neglectful, in my opinion. I know that her situation wasn't ideal, but neglecting a child isn't a solution. There were times when MC needed his family but was alone. If a child is mature, it doesn't mean that he or she doesn't need support.

In short, It's light reading. I really liked it and enjoyed reading it. I think it is worth reading, and I would recommend it. <<less

Wells it is an enjoyable novel. I saw that it was a school life novel (which I personally don’t really enjoy) and was hoping for a little more out of it (there wasn’t) but it kinda meet my expectations (because it was pure school life novel).

It’s a story of a puppy dog MC x a rich cold ML. No drama, just daily school life stuff with romance (ML falls first and had to spell it out of the MC who keeps thinking that he was straight. First time seeing this... more>> in an ABO world lols). Throw in a little twist from a past classmate, I think that’s about it. The extra about uni was kinda cute but the wedding one was a bit unnecessary.

If you enjoy school life novels this is for you. The ABO thing is there but... it’s not as ABO-ish as I like. Hehe but don’t mind me. I like the drama and running with the ball type :p! Yeaps. That’s all I have to say. <<less

Been waiting for so long for someone to finally completely translate it. Thank you so much 😭❤️

This was a favorite when I first came across it and it never disappointed until the end. I wanted it to go on forever but I'm satisfied with how it ended in the extras. Gosh. Such a sweet ABO. It starts out with the trope of having to interact with each other due to reasons, but the author just spins it in a completely satisfying way. Something to come back to for a reread... more>> in the future.

Edit: It's almost 2024 and reread this again for some really good sweet feels. <<less

It was good, could have been better.

The beginning was great, the first real drama between the MC and an antagonistic suitor was also good if a bit short lived. However, after the MC accepts the ml, I felt it started to get a bit lacklustre as if the author was drifting to finish the book. The author made some attempts to lift it from its low speed pace, but they were like helium balloons with a pin prick hole and fizzled out rapidly just after lifting expectations a bit.

I also... more>> felt that the interactions between the MC and his family were not dealt with enough; the author was overly focused on the student background of the story rather than home life.

However, it’s a nice read of two school sweethearts in the end. <<less
