Jiang Yu was born again and returned to a time when she was a poor and naive 17-year-old. In her previous life, because of poverty, she was forced to abandon her dreams of ballet and become the substitute for the white moonlight of a second generation scumbag. Jiang Yu really didn’t want to experience her poor and miserable youth again.

However, when she was helpless, she accidentally discovered that her mobile phone had also traveled with her. Through this mobile phone, she could actually contact people in the future.

So, a steady stream of future business found Jiang Yu——

“Please help me tell my mom, to not do stock trading when she has money!”

“Please help me tell myself in the past, to not study in the same university as my boyfriend, for which I made a deliberate mistake in the college entrance examination”

“My dad is no longer alive, help me tell him that I am not a waste of space.”

Jiang Yu relied on the mobile phone business and earned a lot of money. Until one day, when Jiang Yu received a man’s request for help. The man’s voice was low and magnetic, with a hint of wickedness.

Upon hearing this sound, Jiang Yu was so scared that the phone almost flew out of her hand.

He is a criminal with a high intelligence quotient, Qiu Li, who has been constantly reported in the TV news for ten days. For committing a sensational crime. He hoped that Jiang Yu would save him when he was a teenager so that he would not go astray.

According to his information, Jiang Yu found the teenager Qiu Li.

Young Qiu Li was held up in the dark alley, being punched and kicked and his eyes filled with repressed and a forbearing light.

And that day, Qiu Li lying in a pool of blood saw the girl in a white dress at the end of the alley.

After seventeen years of endless night, that was the first time he saw the moon.

This was so good. There were a lot of moments that made me cry but also a lot of scenes that made me laugh.

The mtl is fairly easy to read.

A masterpiece. Definitely worth reading. There were certain loops, but wow. The MC's character and story was so intricately spun. Hats off to the author as well as the person who translated it for doing it so beautifully.

Thought this would have more fantasy elements, like the system app communicating with the future to affect past events, and the FL solving these cases episodically.

Instead, it felt more like super sweet youth romance between an ambitious ballerina student FL and a mentally ill/tortured puppy-devoted ML.

Midway it changes to noble idiocy ... more>>
Spoiler

after falling in love, ML decides to leave FL because he's not good enough, but don't worry, it's HE. And the ML becomes a super-hypnotist, and all the FL's dreams and reality get mixed up because of his super hypnotism.

[collapse]

Instead of a fantasy app novel, it was more like a high school romance turned adult mental health hypnotist plot, which wasn't for me. <<less

Pros: Complex, well-developed, likeable main characters that show a lot of character growth. A ML who isn't just an wish-fullfilment cardboard cutout like most short-novel romance MLs.

Sweet & silly side-plots in between serious, tension filled main plot lines.

Alternating heartwarming & heartbreaking scenes.

Quality translation.

Cons: Some interesting side-plots that go nowhere & side-characters that are used as scene props and tgen never mentioned again; characteristic of this author's works, the first 70% of this novel is more detailed and flows better than the ending.

4.5/5 stars; will probably read it again

It’s my second novel by this author and really I love the ML in her novels, they are always so devoted to the FL. I loved this story as well. It had plot holes, it had some unnecessary drama but I can’t help but keep on reading and feel so touched by the characters. I can’t say I loved everything in the story but I loved the interactions between the ML and the FL. I loved how fragile the ML is. I love how he loves the FL.

Want to change to 4 stars. Very cute and sweet! I love the relationship between MC and ML. Wanted more face slapping though, and later chapters got a little makjang. Would have given 5 stars if author bad just kept it to feeding us sugar vs the weird action drama of later chapters.

Almost read it all but just couldn't.

I'm someone who doesn't enjoy novels with the psychological tag but the synopsis was very interesting so I gave it a try. The story hooked me all the way to the 100th chapter but

Honestly speaking I was already worn out when the ML used hypnosis on the FL and the ML started contacting suspicious people saying that he wanted revenge on the world because all of his suffering. Then when all that was resolved and it seemed like it would be smooth sailing from there on, appeared the lady that was so similar to MC's biological mom but showed signs of being the ML's mom 😑. And then the biological dad of the MC turned out to be kinda paranoid and got together with that lady. I really didn't like those parts and just left it at that.

Spoiler

And well I knew that it wasn't the ML the one who killed Huo Cheng in the MC's "first life" because in some parts of the story she gets those suspicious flashbacks of herself with signs of having killed him, but that didn't really matter. What really put me off was the fact that everything that happened after she got back in time was just a dream that the ML put the MC on when she killed her husband. But this I didn't confirm since I didn't read it to the end, just read it in the spoilers forum.

[collapse]

Well, I was kinda pissed off with that but sincerely I liked the first part of the story, enough to put 4 stars on this. I think that the parts that talked about her chasing her dream and those about her and the ML were well balanced. <<less

I was really hoping that the story gets better but it doesn’t. An interesting plot that goes down a silly path with over the top characters.

the fact that her “mom” locks her up on the day of her audition is pretty narcissistic. She doesn’t do it for her “daughter” but rather for her own selfish reasons. Similarly she doesn’t want to tell the ML that she is not her real mother. Its real in a way, it shows the realness of peoples selfish behaviour but for the ML to just forgive immediately - that’s not realistic.

[collapse]

The constant and silly face slapping, the ridiculous side characters and the dog blood drama is not enjoyable, it just made me roll my eyes and drop the book.

A word to the translator: please fix the links, the next button is broken on nearly all the pages. And please get your editor to make sure that the words “he” and “she” are used correctly. I get that in some languages it’s interchangeable but it can be confusing to the reader. <<less

The "future business" plot line isn't very prominent, though it is used to push through some major events. Her way of resolving past regrets was sometimes pretty clumsy, but I did like the reflection she did about regrets and fixing past mistakes as she began to enjoy helping people. It did make me curious as to how her changes might have rippled through the future.

Spoiler

I'm not sure if I misunderstood, but I thought it said that her husband killed her, and that's how she came to be reborn. But considering that she killed him, that's obviously not correct, so I have no idea how she died. IIRC, when her "future" dad was a client, he told her that he'd received an anonymous tip that his unknown daughter had recently died, but he couldn't find her.

The main twist was fairly strongly hinted at, and it was nice that even in her original life he knew her (even though she didn't notice him). As her husband's psychologist, I wish he would have hypnotized him to stop being an abuser, made him confess, or at least give her another route to freedom. I'd also like to know why he was "future" him at the end... the clients weren't supposed to know who she was, so it would be a little odd if it was all somehow a set up.

[collapse]

Qiu Li's ability to hypnotize is... a little OP. He really needs to learn some morals before using such a powerful skill. Although this is one of those rebirths where the MC isn't acting her mental age, I did like her forthright character a lot. She didn't hesitate to communicate her unhappiness to the ML, and correct his behavior when necessary. The ending was a little bit weak but still interesting. I think it needed another chapter or two to flesh things out a little bit better. Overall, I enjoyed the story, and it's head and shoulders above most of the c-novels out there, hence the rating. There's room for improvement, but it was a refreshing read after some of the other crap I've waded through. <<less
