Mu Jin grew up in modern times and had been an outstanding person who helped the grandmother to cross the road since childhood.

When she opened her eyes again, she had become the cross-dressing villain boss of the novel she had just finished reading. Her name was Mu Jinwen and she was the malicious and feminine fake eunuch of the great Yan Kingdom. Yet after transmigrating, she bound a qualified supporting character development who ordered her to protect the main characters as she completed her role to maintain the stability of the world.

Everyone, don't read this!

80 Chapters all for just a quick rushed ending that doesn't resolve anything.

Author literally gives up on an ending and just rushed three paragraphs to end the entire fallout.

spoilers of why it's so bad:

Spoiler

Evil emperor hero keeps almost raping the MC, imprisons her, then MC runs away. MC instantly timeskips to having an army, then dealing with creepy king who wants her. Creepy king is killed then MC goes back to save the heroine and then commits su*cide. Then author gives a tiny epilogue where MC might have a daughter the literal end. It's incredibly tr*sh and garbage. The entire early premise was ruined. Basically first 1/4 of the book was okay then devolved into utter filth. Seriously: MC has a reality overwriting device and only uses it to bring a child back to life instead of solving all her problems. That's how s*upid it is.

Don't waste your time.

MC never gets any justified revenge and spends the entire novel suffering. Other than the various assaults she suffers, she faints repeatedly over the whole novel literally since her body is that bad. The other reviewer quite frankly didn't seem to understand how soul crushing and terrible this experience was for the MC. Just sad. Also for romance there basically isn't any other than second male liking MC. Tr*sh. <<less

The extras are still ongoing and pick up directly after the epilogue of the main story. I do not want to contradict any review but this is not a tragedy.

I really love this story because Mu Jin has real strength. She isn't lucky because she has to go through a novel with characters she doesn't even appreciate, and she doesn't have a choice about it; she has to play a double game all the time and it's very exhausting.
She doesn't see everyone around her as only characters from a novel, but she is very distant from everyone and only gets to care for very few of them; the one person she actually comes to really like is the original villainous Mu Jinwen, because she comes to hate so many others. She's here to work and she's just waiting to retire and never see everyone again.
Except for a couple of them, no character in this story is honest. Everybody is double-faced and more or less hides some cruelty. And what they all have in common is the obsession toward Mu Jin they all seem to get at one point or another, and the jealousy they feel toward the original heroine Duan Rongrong, which both make them act rather insanely.

As for the end...

Spoiler

From the very beginning, it was clearly stated that she could not harm any of the main characters even if she were to play the role of the villain. Doing so was against the system's setting as it would have destroyed this world and she was very alienated from everyone because of that. She has to finish the plot.

In the end, MC got what she wanted, meaning she got rid of the plot and the characters associated with it. She didn't die, neither did any of the main characters, she manipulated everyone into doing her bidding, and she didn't get a daughter at the end of the main story. In my opinion, while she broke a ton of hearts along the way and left her only friend behind, she was the real winner of this story.
As for her real happy ending, it's still ongoing but her male lead found her, and she might accept him at least as a friend.

Pretty much as the summary goes but there's a lot less romance and more everyone falling in love with MC and the shenanigans. It's a bit messy at times but very enjoyable to read.

Mu Jin is very respectable, she's one of the few heroines in a system novel who seems aware that the novel people are still real and treats them as people. She does try very hard to stick to her character and calls them male lead or female lead but she's not callous with lives. Her EQ take... more>> a while to come on though.

Romance isn't really a thing and it's more romantic situations with various men (and women?) As everyone sinks deeper into love with her lol.

Male lead

Spoiler

pretty sure it's rong Feng although it's sorta implied and in the extras which I haven't read so I can't be sure. I'm quite pleased it's him because he's the only one I think she's ever genuinely honest with at any point. Everyone else is linked to her persona of Eunuch Mu somehow, he and maybe the heroine are the only ones who see her as her.

Well, , I already read all the main chapters (80 chapters). And all I can say is it's an ok ending

As I expected from a system transmigration story. It always rare to see author can deliver it beautifully. In this novel, until the ending of the main story, author didn't explain to us about the system origin, and about MC wish. We don't know whether MC wish to resurrect her parents in modern world will come true or not

You probably will enjoy reading MC journey, but you will feel like... more>> the ending is too rushed

And the male lead. Until the end, I don't understand who is the male lead
Spoiler

In the last chapter, MC faked her death, and 5 years later, there's a tea shop with a beautiful enchanting owner. And then, a handsome breaded guy accidently come, and saw the owner and cried happily. I wonder who he is. But my best guess is the general. Afterall, he is the only one that can make the mc's heart skip beat

[collapse]

At first, MC only see the goal and didn't really care about those side character. But she is only human, so slowly, she can't help but feel moved
Spoiler

I still think MC is the original soul here, and she is not transmigrate, she is reborn. Maybe, idk. I am not yet reading the extra chapters. Maybe author will explain it there

[collapse]

For the male lead and side male lead. Until the end, you will never know who is the male lead 🤣. Or maybe it's only me, and I am too dense. I bet it is
Spoiler

the general

Well, overall, for an 80 chapters CN, this is good enough to read to spend time if you want a light read <<less
