I really have mixed feelings about this work, because since the author is prohibited from updating new RI chapters in Qidian, he decided to write a new novel (Unlimited Bloodstone). I am sure this will be a novel that touches the soul, although I am not sure if it could surpass RI.
But I am going to trust the words that the author said about this new project. Describing it as a better planned and designed novel than RI. Well, speaking of the novel, this one is set in a western world of swords and magic.
Unlike RI where the MC (Fang Yuan) is someone who walks the demonic path that also in other words could be said to be a villain, in Unlimited Bloodstone the protagonist clearly is not a "villain" (yet?).
Another point to keep in mind is that the story is definitely going to be incredibly deep, be it in the plot, characters, character development, and world construction. For us readers of RI we know the incredible complexity and depth with which RI is written, whether in characters, relationships, cultivation system, geographical and political situation, life teachings. They make it into one of the best novels on this site. So I hope this is a great read and a new adventure.
This novel also has depth and twists, real-like characters, but the pace is one bit slower.
Even after chapter 175, I still feel that I'm not fully immersed into the novel because there's still much more of Infinite bloodcore world that's needed to be explored.
One of the major issue that stops me from immersing is that the main character is still half-baked himself with his little to none memories and all. And he finally seems to be taking a big step towards this issue.
I can feel that the more chapters come, the more I will be immersing to the plot because it has quality.
- Liked Protagonist, he wasn't emotionless husk, had emotions and yet was still very pragmatic.
- The twists and reveals very genuinely amazing and I didn't see them coming,
- Most characters had some dimension to them and weren't just "Young Masters" Copy pasted over and over again.
Overall the story was good, but... The Bad:- It's very slow, especially at the start,
- Too much "Bad luck" a.k.a bad stuff randomly happening all the time
- There were so much padding, whole chapters of "I should" "No I shouldn't" inner monologue, don't get me wrong the inner struggle is okay with me but you don't need to repeat it over and over and over again its very Redundant.
- There was too much info repeated, giving us same information copy pasted multiple times
- While the ending was great it was dragged for way too long, we got few "life recaps" and even same story retold from different POVS with very little added to it, then we got AGAIN same story retold from another POV with too much same useless stuff being told to us AGAIN, and then we got protagonist flashback over what happened in this volume but wait then we got a speech and protagonist told about, WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS VOLUME. FFS how many times does an author need to tell us what happened
- And lastly a minor issue At the end of vol1.

The very ending while it was amazing it felt soured by being the here read what you already read for 5 times again.MC gets a way to kill beings that are pretty much the strongest beings in the world which was a very convenient and cheap way for author to solve one of the issues. And I also wonder how the author is either going to nerf it or prevent MC from ever being challanged
