One of my faves. Zero fluff or lightheartedness here. Harem tag. As the novel progresses, you start to realize that all the characters land in different shades of morally grey areas. Nothing is truly black or white in this novel. There are no heroes. Or kind folks. MC included. ... more>>

You should try reading:
1. Scream Queen- It's more of a dark comedy(?) than horror where MC is a real queen B who bullies the ghosts
I love her so much, she slays!!
2. Step Down, Let me Come- Kingdom building novel where MC is 'capturing' aides wherever she goes (it's a shounen except MC is a girl through and through, though none of her aides believe it) I wouldn't too if I were them cause she's that chaotic

…BE doesn’t equate to a bad ending imo.
I say BE but it’s simply a question of optics.
I’m a romantic at heart, so while our MC is winning all the way through, and while also not wishing for her to end up with the emperor, it doesn’t negate the fact that ultimately, I kinda hoped better for her. However unrealistic that may be in an imperial romance(?) novel.
If you’re here for the entertainment value instead, you’ll think differently than I do.
