The story basically is a misunderstanding and god fated love story to summarize.

Rumor floating that ML is wanting to become Holy Knight! to prevent such she is trying to tarnish the 'pure' legibility of ML. Unknown to the FL, everything was a misunderstanding and the naughty plans goes on.

He prayed for her, the gift, and when God ask back for the promises he gave in exchange of the gift, he got no choice but to follow.

it explores their married life + their celestial past.

I had my suspicions when we find out that Arsion left to go to the Holy Knights when Ariel was sick, but the only reason he left her is because he was fulfilling a pledge to the goddess. My original thought was that because she was so sick Arsion dedicated himself to the goddess to save her life, but actually he was fulfilling his pledge to the goddess that if She sent him his mate (that he apparently knew was out there, and I sincerely hope that particular plot point is going to be explored in book 2) he would kill as many monsters as would satisfy Her. When Ariel becomes sick at 17, Arsion realizes he has not kept his promise to the goddess, and literally runs to the battlefield for 3 years. The SECOND he has killed the appropriate number of monsters, Arsion runs right back to the palace and demands that they move forward with wedding approvals so he can get married RIGHT NOW and is ANGRY he has to wait for royal approval to hold his wedding.

Meanwhile, Ariel has had to put up with all kinds of ridiculous rumors for the last 3 years spread by jealous b*tches (I hate hate HATE that word but it's really accurate for the situation. I would really like to cut one of these hateful people) because Arsion is GORGEOUS and the only son of a duke, while Ariel is the okay looking second daughter of a fallen noble who is basically a commoner and an accountant. Deeply in love, hurt at being left without a word of explanation for 3 years, and feeling like she is going to lose her best friend that she adores to the Holy Knights, Ariel comes up with the c*ckamamie idea that she's going to seduce and corrupt Arsion so he can't join the Holy Knights and leave her behind. This goes about as well as one would expect - Arsion plays dumb, she gets to take the lead and follows the (surprisingly well-thought out, detailed, intelligently-written and well-informed) book she found, Arsion is MORE than happy to be seduced, Ariel realizes that she is taking away his self-determination and makes a break for it, Arsion tracks her down and demands she finish "teaching" him, all misunderstandings are resolved, we get a wedding.

The author introduces ML as guy who doesn't have knowledge about s*x but later we get to know that he is a master when it comes to s*x and it was all for pretending. It was hilarious to know that poor FL has been deceived to take the initiative.

FL - one word. A whore. Sl*t. In those sense. Like if I cant have you, lemme spoil you so nobody get you (although she did have finally developed the conscience and shame). Nevertheless, I hated her.

ML - a closet yandere. Rapist. When I found out he was like that, it made me happy. Because a sl*t deserves someone like him (in a twisted kind of way). You wanted to 'stain' him, well you get what you wanted. He's a rapist yandere (but only on their first snusnu).
