They end up defeating the final boss (the final boss is the Ancient Dragon, which is the manifestation of 'death') and the body which our FL is possessing, Apothecary Shari Azrael, dies as a price for 'killing' the dragon.

FL then meets the creators of the VR Game (the world she entered and got stuck in until now) in heaven. It turns out that the creators were the 'game managers' that she was speaking to in the chat who helped her and gave her rewards. They are actually the original incarnations of the heroes that fought the Ancient Dragon 500 years ago. (Sera = Sepithraon, Count Hayleys/Adams ancestor, Ari = Niséaliv, the first saintess, and Jinu = Xynux, the first emperor of the Zenith empire.) Ultimately, they ask FL (real name Sari Song) if she wants to either go back to her world as promised, or stay in the game world with her real body.

She chooses to go back to Korea and wakes up in hospital, but the legendary sword Lumiecar was with her. On her fourth day back in Korea, she was on her way home from work with the sword in a bag, and was trying to think about how to get rid of it. Suddenly, monsters started to appear in her area and people began to panic. When a lizard monster went near her, she impulsively grabbed Lumiecar and swung in the air,

Even though she knew she was no longer Shari Azrael but an ordinary office worker. When she opens her eyes, she finds that she proces precisely cut the lizard in half. She finds out that she can use her abilities still, and uses 'Stun' on all of the monsters. She realises that the monsters aren't actually attacking people, and are saying things like 'Find Shari Azrael'; they are looking for her. She ends up finding the source of the monsters and destroys it with Lumiecar.

The police are trying to arrest Sari as they think shes dangerous after watching her swing the sword, and threaten her to put the sword down. Sari runs away and finds herself at the Han River, where she was before she went into the other world. She realises that she worked so hard to come back, but her life really wasn't as good as she convinced herself it was. She was an orphan, struggling with money and toxic relatives, and now the police were trying to detain her.

Hearing the sirens in the distance, she regrets coming back. Then, she sees a sign in front of her, it reads 'unclaimed quest reward, would you like to use it?'. This is the option of returning to the 'game' world in her original body that was mentioned before. She didn't know the game still had an effect, but this was her final chance to use it. She accepts the reward and jumps into the river. She wakes up in the empire, and 3 years and 6 months have passed.

She finds out that Kasel never returned from the fight that day. Startled, she tries to think of ways to meet the main characters but she knows that they won't believe her since her appearance has changed. She has an idea, she goes into a secluded forest and whistles in an attempt to summon for the Thunder Bird she tamed as Shari Azrael. He responds to her call, and recognises her instantly. She gets on his back and goes to the Dark Forest, which was where the battle with the final boss was. When she was about to give up on looking for Cassel, she finds his body, covered in black liquid, which is the dragons power.

She pulls him out of it and he slowly regains consciousness. What happened was after Shari Azrael died, he knew that she went back to her original world. Everyone thinks that they killed the dragon, but you cannot 'kill' death as the worlds balance will be thrown off, but he was put to rest. Cassel makes a deal with the dragon. Death had always tried to cross into Shari's world in every life after destroying this world, but he was never succesful.

Kasel says that if the dragon lends him his power so that he can use it to can cross over to FL's world, he will let him see the world through his eyes. (Because of how long the curse has been on cassel he found he could merge with or possess 'death', so basically if he goes into the real world death can in turn merge with cassel and see the world through his eyes) Shari tells him that hes s*upid for chasing her, and she asks why he would do such a thing.

Kasel is reinstated as Crown prince (since he was missing for years, the emperor brought in his illegitimate child as heir. Emperor's is a weak bastard so as soon as Cassel comes back the emperor goes into seclusion) Kasel proposes to Shari in front of the statue of 'Shari Azrael', remembered as one of the four heroes who died in the great battle, and they kiss again and "The End".
