Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated into a rebirth novel, in which the female lead in her past life had an unattainable love, a white moonlight. In the novel, the white moonlight Cheng Jun was a hollow character with a pretty face but zero accomplishments, and with his cold personality was like a frigid beauty; an empty flower vase. Meanwhile, Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated into Cheng Jun’s ex-wife, an evil, stuck-up, female side character.

When Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated over, a divorce agreement was placed on the table. Cheng Jun, wet from the rain, ate a bowl of unhealthy instant noodles. Seeing that beautiful, emotionless face, Ruan Jiu Jiu suddenly couldn’t take it anymore and said that she’d wait until tomorrow to reconsider the divorce.

If you want some cute story with little to none of the complication, this novel is perfect for you. Heartwarming fluffiness~

I have a thing against contract marriage trope and the ones I enjoy that has it is limited, BUT this one was quite fun to read. It’s really more slice of life than anything. While parts of the plot are obviously fictional, the romance between ML & FL is quite realistic. I also enjoy how it’s not overly romantic. There were no grand gestures, no lengthy drama. It’s a love that bloomed from friendship and companionship.

There was an arc I hated - but also, as someone who was disillusioned by... more>> love before, there is actual real fear when you start feeling things again (or in RJJ’s case, just feel). Running away may seem cowardly and disrespectful - and it totally is - but her feelings about it are totally valid. Could she have done it better? Yes. But I enjoyed how human and flawed she went about it.

Plot wise: 3.5, but overall enjoyment 4.5.

I usually never base my reviews off the translations because it’s not really their story to tell and it’s unfair for authors to be rated based on free translations. The translator here did an amazing job though, kudos to Candle. <<less

Kinda cute unconventional romance. ML can be so annoying but it's a bit like Ye Xiu from Kings Avatar style where he is a troll.

A bit typical for these cannonfodder style novels where the MC is the hidden protagonist. Can't see a single bit of protagonist hero from original FL... She is depicted pretty terribly honestly. Original pairing has zero golden finger.

ML can be so very cute tho. Miserably cute. When he is so sad, I'm just dying >...<

It's a slow romance. I like ML more than MC. The is good in the beginning but later after all the villains are disposed off the story gets dragged on alot specially by MC. The last 40 chapters are simply about their life after the villains exit which was king of boring mainly because of MC. Through out the entire story it was only the ML who was trying for their relationship for it to progress in the right direction but entire time it was MC who kept showing zero... more>> interest in ML. Her lack of any efforts for their relationship was kind of bummer for me as she kept on underestimating ML at every step so much that she thought ML was a as*xual person so she never treated ML as possible love interest or as a man. <<less

Definitely a good pastime read.

The story is not complex at all, very simple and clean. There aren't too many head scratching moments, and a lot of conflicts are usually resolved within the same chapter or within 1-3 (roughly) chapter (s). There isn't really too much to say about it, really. MC was a likable character, ML was adorable. It was humorous and followed a plot that didn't have irritating twists and turns. And the fanwai wrapped up the story well.

It's 4/5 stars mainly for the fact that I didn't dislike or hate the story, but I also didn't absolutely love it. I do really like the story, but it didn't leave me breathless. I'd definitely recommend it to whomever is interested in a simple love story with the added supernatural element of transmigration. <<less

Finished reading the raw, Novel was okay for reading to past time.

Two thing that threw me off was 1. When MC suddenly went back to her world 2. The ending, MC is assumed prego with 2 child but there is story to follow up on that to conformed if she is prego.

The story is pretty funny in the first half. The two leads really don't know how to talk to each other and that leads to some very funny moments.

The issues crop up in 2nd half since you are unclear about what's going on between them. The constant push and pull irritated me quite a bit specially since there seems to be no clear conversations between them.

The only good point is that there is very little angst in the story, otherwise with the level of communication between the leads -this story would have been too frustrating. <<less

It was slow pacing at first, come on guys, if you just transmigrated, would you fall in rove tight away? Why would you expect the MC to devote her self right away? To be honest, it was a gradual progress, then she knew she started to have feelings.

They had their wedding again, ML knows that she isn't from same world as his, always insecure that she will just disappear anytime.

MC started to recognize her feelings and knew how important ML was, when she went back to her original world... more>> and fought to be able to go back into the book again.

When she thought it was him on a car accident and fainted in front of her, she was distraught.

It was a happy ending, she gave birth to a boy and was pregnant with 2nd child. <<less

The main draw for this story is the ML. He's not in the common line and his actions left me amused for most of the story. Our MC plays the pragmatic straight man who is not emotionally invested in this world at all. The story she transmigrated into is as dog blood as you can get. The world building worked. A lot of the secondary characters are, well, annoying. If you are in the mood for a longer silly transmigration novel and find it amusing when the MC acts like... more>> a real person and doesn't insta love her adorable ML, this story will probably make you smile. It is slow burn and the original novel drama sometimes makes you want to rip up the script. Enjoy :) <<less

Well, it's actually an okay read. I wouldn't say this was fluffy but comedic romance. It's refreshing to see a different male lead than cold, arrogant, indifferent or aloof type, ML was lazy to the bone. Although it's said ML has tragic past with stepmom it doesn't go in depth.

About FL, I'm still unclear how to rate her, she's strong, matured and has her own principles but I couldn't quite come to like her like I usually like strong mature FL.

So many times I complained why can't the ML... more>> go find someone better who can treat him right! FL was polite and respectful with him but as soon as she got to know he has feelings for her she ran away. Like dude if you were planning to run away you should've done that in the beginning not after caring for him letting him depend on you. She had money and everything even divorce papers were ready, just should have went along the flow but no, she had to creat drama before that.

And ML even got to know she's not his real wife the moment she said no divorce (ノ｀Д´) ノ彡┻━┻

The thing I usually dislike in transmigrated novels is that when MC replaces a supporting character or a villain or even a cannon fodder character. Only in the beginning it says how tragic or s*upid that characters role was but never the real emotions of original owner. Everyone has good and bad sides, if you're criticizing them for something bad you should also acknowledge or appreciate their good side as well (even in tr*sh novels as*hole ML gets off the hook with tragic past and all that stuff) but with transmigrating into supporting character, the original owner emotions will always be neglected. I know it's just a novel and I don't have to get to hyped about it, but I can't help it, along with time I put my emotions into reading them. In this novel as well, orginal owner was orphan, money hugger and had a boyfriend but author never explained what made her to be like that. Author just used a regular trope of 'didn't gain original owner memory' and whitewashed everything with FL. And the most frustrating part for me is incomplete information on a character or lack of narration of background, especially in transmigrating novel.

It's funny how usually authors write plot with FL's complaining about their character being decoration or cannon fodder in novel but they themselves end up using others as cannon fodder in their 'life'. The original FL of the novel ended up as cannon fodder just to highlight FL, like seriously?😒 <<less

she's not decisive on her decisions, if she doesn't like the ML why return after leaving? Cause you pity Cheng Jun? After giving him motives and reason to love you, you just left him after knowing that he already loves you? She's just prolonging the agony. And here I thought she's a mature woman. And after returning to Cheng Jun they decided to try to work out their marriage but the FL isn't even trying. She doesn't appreciate the ML's effort and just brush him off saying that he's annoying but she doesn't bother to 'look' at him.

I like the story but the FL's attitude annoys me from this chapter so I think i'll drop this for now and return after it's finished. <<less

I really liked and enjoyed Summer's End's translation work on this. They did a really wonderful job– sentence construction, word choices, memes– I love them. I think they're my favorite translation group now. I hope they'll come back someday.

Novel was cute and has its enjoyable parts imo. Would recommend.

This novel was funny, fluffy and sweet with minor angst. I like the bright/lively attitude of FL (Ruan Jiu Jiu) she balanced the ML (Cheng Jun) who got robot-like personality and foodie puppy who got abandonment issues.

After reading the Guide on Raising a Villain... I think that he seemed to have the same mental issues as Tan Mo.

The FL didn't easily fall for the ML and the development of their relationship was slowburned but satisfying in the end. There were certain frustrations bc of FL's doubts but her reasons were understandable.

The OG leads got their well-deserved endings. Other side characters were likeable and they reminded me of Samsan Tech team of Start-Up kdrama LMAO

Read from MTL. I'm a fan of adorable MLs (kinda got sick from the generic types) these adorable hubbies are my medicine XD It's a cute and funny read, I proudly prefer the ML over the FL because his personality and impression made him remarkable among the sea of MLs I've read.

The story is easy with a bit of a twist, it's a great story to pass time.

Sooo sweet, cute and funny. The ML is a glutton other than being perfect. The FL is a narcissist who fears big rich family drama.

The story is nice and refreshing. Basically it's watching a pair of low EQ couple in an arranged marriage. There's not much bloody fights and 3rd parties. The biggest obstacle is probably their own mentalities. X'D

I love this story! I don't know why it has only 4.3 because this is a gem.

The ML is a big puppy dog with negative EQ and is a total foodie. The MC is normal person who likes people praising her for her looks as any other and is a bit cautious. Their relationship progressed wonderfully and their interactions gave me so much happiness and laughs. The side characters are memorable and also give enough laughs. The writing and translation is also well written. This is all around an amazing... more>> novel.

Binge read it in a day. Loved it. Everyone should try it. <<less

After reading series of bad novels I was happy to find this gem. There were so many parts that made me literally lol. Thoroughly enjoyable, and great translation. I love the translator’s notes and illustrations. Def going above and beyond.

Very refreshing ML-FL dynamics~

FL is very badass, independent and so cooool!!! Her coool-ness is still very feminine which I like a lot~ ML is a lazy, aloof, and foodie big puppy to FL. He's also really bad at reading the mood so he often disrupts their romantic moments a lot lololol

A lot of the side characters were likable (except b*tch OGFL) and the story didn't have much drama (except for the end :<<<)

Both ML and FL didn't have a good family so they were able to understand each other a lot more. Also, ML knew from the start that FL wasn't the original Ruan Jiujiu so the one he truly loves is her and he also married her around the end of the story for real. ML was really scared of being abandoned by FL especially since FL left him once (when ML confessed to FL while she was pretending to be asleep; FL, at that time, didn't love him yet so she left to not hurt him anymore). FL had a thick wall that she built to protect herself and it was fun how she tried to let ML slowly break down her walls after realizing that ML genuinely loves her. The ML and FL had a son in the end (that was similar to ML and ML even kept on joking of sending his son away lololol a lot of cute moments in extra chapters tho). Also, 2nd ML, the OGML, also married the wife he married in the 1st timeline (before OGFL rebirth).

It really is very fresh to read MLs that deviate the aloof, domineering, and cold on the outside but only warms up to the FL (ML is a bit similar but still not that type, he seems more like a 3rd ML's personality) ~ Anyway, this kind of personality complements the FL's personality very well. <<less
