Yuan Xi died after falling into the water. He then wakes up as a different person with the same name. From the eighteenth liner artist, he became a transparent cannon fodder who was blinded and crippled and died miserably in the end.

Decent read, nothing too complicated or new in the story.

Towards the end, it was kinda hard to try and finish it. The MC’s character development really let my hopes down as it stagnated—and he turned into every typical MC who doesn’t need IQ because he’s cute.

In the end, it’s a good novel to pass time—just don’t expect anything too much from the plot or characters.

For those who are looking forward to ‘Mpreg’ part.

I felt cheated as that’s the main reason I picked the novel. That element isn’t even brought in until the very end——and I mean like the end of the extras. In all honesty, it shouldn’t even have that tag because it’s mentioned in like 3-5 paragraphs.

However, surprisingly...

Other than the MC getting pregnant; the original Male Lead of the novel was pregnant as well.

Sudden Mpreg at the last extra like what?! Both MC and the OG! Male Protag Fu Yushen aka ML's brother got pregnant. Also sudden appearance of the novel author at the near end chapters who is just as crazy as the OG! Female Protag, this helped kickstart Fu Yushen love story with his cousin Shen Wenxuan. I also felt that Ji Bai was thrown one side by the author, mpreg means MC and ML will have their own baby and therefore a heir of blood as compared to an adopted heir

Anyway its a nice and sweet read.

Well, MC could be said having a very smooth life after "transmigrating". A bit hiccup here and there but always left unscathed really.

Altho I feel that the interaction with ML feels a bit sporadic, and they're too easy to accept each other just like that, but the couple are rather cute.

The ending tho.. I mean, it's a setting inside a book, it can be anything, but that's way too random. Lol.

But since I quite enjoyed reading it, and nothing offends me I can give 4*, just treat this story as... more>> a fun read and not take it too seriously.. 😂 <<less

Doesn't make sense why or how the author was there? Very unnecessary. It's like it was stuffed in there to reveal that the truth about yuan xi transmigrating but the ML already knew he was different from before. Like they could of just talked instead of the charade event. And like what happened to ogflm. She was hypnotized and then what. Like did they just leave her like that.

Overall it was slow. I skipped all the acting stuff since it was relevant sometimes but not really.

Truth be told the dance was somehow both fast and slow.

The ML fell pretty quickly and they were ambiguous pretty quickly. MC liked him but I guess didn't realize. They got married really fast even though the romance hadn't fully developed. And thenl. Was. In no hurry since they were already married. Basically tied MC with marriage. Not long after MC realized he liked ml. He confesses amidst some scandals and eventually tie the knot. For some reason it was all so slow to read because of the acting chapters and the conflicts with og fML but when you think about it they had a very fast development. Like without conflicts they'd probably be together and married within 3 weeks of knowing each other

It was a cute story with lots of fluff. Something easy to read with no brain power required. The fantastical elements felt a little random (maybe something lost in translation lmao) but other than that

, it was fine. Kinda wordy at times without enough dialogue but skimming those sections were fine. Pretty easy to mtl.
