Short and sweet best friends to lovers. Basically 99% fluff with a little bit of plot. I loved how their feelings developed so naturally, clearly they've been obsessed with each other for almost 2 decades so it was about time— they just needed a little pheromone push.

Very minimal drama, absolutely no dog blood, and family acceptance pretty much straight off the bat. After all they've been living in each others pockets for the last 17/18 years so really not much has changed except now they kiss haha! A nice little... more>> break from all the depressing sh*t I tend to read, definitely recommend for a light feel-good read.

Also just a shout out to their absolutely hilarious home room teacher, I would 100% transmigrate to marry him. Only thing I didn't like about this story if I had to nitpick was the OO couple that

I liked this one, but I didn't love it. It's not got anything special, but is sweet. The main couple had chemistry, but could have had more tbh. Average, tooth rotting high school ABO, ML is respectful of MC.

On an off note, I always feel like ABO would cause society to devolve into serious chaos, yk? Or at least technology would have to be better than they make it out to be in these novels for society to still function as peacefully, bc the amount of accidents and underage sex/non-con... more>> incidents due to first heats in bad places, forgotten inhibitors cause the number of times that happens in ABO novels is unthinkable, the number of permanent unwanted marks, dude what a nightmare. I love ABO genre but sometimes it makes me a little disbelieving of how peaceful the world is portrayed even with all of these glaring risks.

Like in this novel alone, during MCs first heat when they were stopped at the door by that alpha, if the ML was really just a beta and not an unpresented top alpha then... yeah you can imagine huh. <<less

Very sweet and fluffy story! Almost no conflict and it was just fluff all the way! I love a good childhood friends trope where they're subconsciously together already until they are really together.

I love the banter and the family dynamics. Just a funny side note how in many (not all but almost all) abo stories, the parents are always 1 female and 1 male despite it being a BL abo story where there's such things as male omegas.

Moving on, there's no prominent side characters but their classmates and families... more>> added a nice dynamic to their environment.

Lighting a candle to the love rival who confessed to MC and expressed that he liked MC even before he differentiated. He was really just a plot device, used to drive ML forward and after that rejected firmly by MC.

Minus 0.5 stars is because for just a split moment I had this small wish that ML remained a beta and it could be a beta x omega story to break the stereotypes. But of course, it had to stay true to the norms.

Side note, I would like a little more on the very small side couple

that was a rare OO couple but gotcha it's actually AO because the A was pretending to be an O. But the circumstances and drama behind that could definitely be a whole other novel by itself. And I am so very curious.

It was a very lighthearted sweet novel.

I am a sucker for childhood friend to lovers, so this definitely hit the spot!

The plot is nothing too deep and very short so you can read it when you want something fluffy to pass the time.

I definitely recommend!

MC, Lin You, and ML, Lu Qingyan, were together since they were babies. They've always been close and intimate. So much so that no one suspected that they'd end up together. ML fell for MC first and MC later discovered his feelings for ML. Their families are super close so acceptance of their relationship was a given... especially since they had 100% compatibility.

It's okay to pass the time. The story is very light, no misunderstanding conflict or whatsoever, a slice of life with smooth like a butter track.

It's about childhood bastie became a lover with abo spice. No dragging things, just need a Little time to realize their feelings, I think it's very common school life Troupe.

I give it with high rates because I just finish some tragedy genre and this story heal me. So it's recommended for relaxing your nerve.

4.5! Decent well written novel by pine nut tree, but also cliche. I like every bit of it but tropes like this are always repeating repeating and repeating so the enjoyable factor is a bit less. I feel like this kind of trope will do very well in a fan fcition bc we already know they back story, here we do get a glimpse but somehow it doesn't feel enough despite being actually enough. For the most part, I did enjoy this very much and I finished this in one... more>> sitting. I like the tropes, their dependency on each other and how they care for each other. I like a strong shou and his seductive pheromone gives way to smut which I also like. I like it, but not enough for it to be memorable <<less

Pretty good fluffy novel - the characters only have minor bumps in their relationship, more a story about childhood sweethearts. If the summary sounds appealing you'll definitely enjoy it! I thought it was a pretty good read but not something I'll return to.

I tried to finish it but I can’t. It’s too light and slice of life for me. The characters are nice, but lack dimension. MC is a pretty top dog, physically strong omega who’s oblivious about feelings. ML is a doting loyal best friend. The plot is classic cliche (not that I mind), but it lacks emotional builds up so I couldn’t really see their love. It feels like elementary school puppy love. Does this story even have a climax point? The translation from Chrysanthemum Garden is great as usual.

It's a nice, light-hearted novel with a serene atmosphere. The coming of age story of besties who fell in love. I like their romance progression, didn't feel forced or off. The straightforwardness of the characters also saved us alot of time! I liked it😁

The side characters were also cute.

Just finished reading it in mtl ver. And decided to write a review, after excitedly adding this to my novelupdates list. This is definitely worth spending your time, especially for those who are seeking novels for fluff, mood stability, easy read and most importantly, for DOG FOOD.

Some might find this as plain boring, as there is not much or even no conflict going on. And I agree with the majority of the reviews here that this can pass as a heavy-plot-mood-breaker. No suspense and drama free. Very good read for a break from emotionally heavy things. (Irl or novel, etc.)

Take the butter out of the fridge, wait for it to warm a bit. Then, slice through it oh so smooth. ← My analogy on their realisation and development.

Fluff enough and sweet enough.

Short and sweet novel!

Before the main leads got together, their relationship is already very close. The MC is actually the clingy one while the ML is the gentle indulgent kind. Despite that, they don't feel too boring because they also bicker like brothers.

MC is quite charming, with him being a bit shy but also teasing and straightforward at times. He's a little dense but it didn't come off as annoying. I do enjoy some, childhood friends that unconsciously act like lovers > turned lovers and this novel did it relatively... more>> well.

I'm glad the author didn't fall into the "school life genre pit hole" and overly empathize on their school life but focused more on the leads changing relationship. There weren't much spicy or provocative scenes but enough to give readers a taste. <<less

Among the author's other works, this one is the most cliched and predictable.

I have no idea why the summary makes it sound the ML took advantage of MC because that's the exact OPPOSITE of what happened. It's still enjoyable to read, especially the first half. There are many good and cute moments. But it's tiresome to read a story where we can see the MC be a brat constantly and yet have people confessing to him even till the last chapter. While the ML is practically a wife-s*ave who does... more>> every little thing for MC, even wiping his mouth, and yet treated coldly and as an afterthought. Even him being turning into an alpha is an afterthought within the story.

There was a really good line that among so much family, the ML had practically been left to raise himself like a weed. And this ends up being more true than you'd think. His existence is an afterthought compared to MC. Despite both of them being just teenagers and having good families who are friends.

ML spends so much of the story waiting on MC hand and foot, then be the one to realize his feelings and then be brave to confess, the one holding back despite MC actively seducing him as a lark, the one doing almost everything in the relationship while MC does the bare minimum.

I know this is meant to be sweet but till the end of the novel, there is someone confessing their feelings for MC and demanding the ML better take care of him and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. <<less

A short sweet and fluffy novel. The trope with bestfriends to lovers was done really well. The MC is super cute and straightforward, but dense as a brick till they got together. The ML is a respectful alpha who suppresses his predatory urges and even gets teased alot after they became a couple. It's also really nice we also got to see their confusion and frustration before their transition to lovers. Their families are really cute, Lu brother is really funny and I really liked Lin sister.

very lighthearted read, short and sweet! A fluffy coming-of-age story with 2 childhood best friends falling in love with each other. I didn't even realise I was smiling the whole way through while reading. This particular translator (since CG has multiple translators) from CG did a great job for this novel!

as expected, this had little to no angst!! Ofc at times it pulled on my heartstrings a lil but I love love love it cus it’s really cute and fluffy! Def recommend as a wholesome novel if you’re in need of one, not gonna leave a rating cus it’s short and fluff :)
