The sword of my closest friend and trusted adjutant pierced my body. When I opened my eyes again, I had become a noble lady of the enemy kingdom. I will mark spoilers... alright here goes.

I do not like the plot, t if you like melodrama go ahead and as a romance its lacking but its not bad, the reincarnation angle sucks in my opinion author just put it there because of convoluted reasons. most ML suck. ... more>>

second ML killed her past life and I cant get over it since author gave too much pathos and trauma to FL I hate every scene he is in so I cant enjoy this for what it is since this is not a revenge story.

I've reached the side story ending now. It's definitely not for everyone. It's pretty frustrating and unsatisfying all the way through. It's only bearable because of the insight it gave me, and honestly, because the ML is good. But what can I say, it's melodrama, I think.

The other reason why I stayed is the many cute moments and it's definitely carrying like a quarter of the story's burden. I like MC and ML interaction. It's always lovely to me.

One thing to nitpick (among many), tho, is that the author seemed... more>> to favour the 2nd ML too much. Like, so much that it makes me want to puke. Even the ending reflects that. Even of the 10 side story, 6 of them are dedicated to the 2nd ML, the most disgusting character in the novel.

Even at the ending, the 2nd ML is given a new life after declared dead. Instead of being punished for his betrayal which is unforgivable regardless of reason, he's living life as free as a bloody bird. And yet, our MC and ML couldn't even marry yet, still trapped in a cage called law, and overall hindered. And THIS IS THE ENDING I TELL YA. Sure, there is 10 specials that I haven't read, but like, don't they deserve marriage already? What's wrong sith the Author?

EDIT: I have read the specials now. Although I skip-hopped 6 chapters that shows this 2nd ML's past. Even the ML don't get this treatment, I swear.

Bear with me for a sec, would you or would not you read the past of someone you hate so much? A person you know is not punished a deserved punishment? I will not. Maybe my view of him will change if I read the 6 chapters, but as I said, I will not read about the past of someone I hate so much. No matter how sad a villain's backstory, in the end, what matters to your feeling is what you actually see, is not it? Idk what makes the author thinks he deserves redemption, after all he did to torture MC in the name of "love" (more like obsession but whatever).

Back to insight for a moment, this novel gave me a lot of affirmation and renewed my respect towards women in general. I enjoyed growing as a person together with the MC, as in, as her character developed, so did I.

The novel taught the MC and me that just because the ladies are wearing dresses, wearing makeup, and spend so much time socialising, doesn't mean they're not fighting a war. Social world is a war in itself for those ladies. It's pretty good lesson.

Anyway, speaking of characters, I'll also nudge a bit about them.

First, the MC, Lucipella, is described to be confident, inspiring, etc etc, but to me, she's just an indecisive, naive person. She, times and times again, hesitated to exact revenge. She's also selfish when it comes to ML's feelings, but strangely accommodating towards everyone else, including the very person who killed her. She's one of the worse MCs in this kinda story in my opinion. Certainly not the worst, tho. She has ALOT of positive traits, and had I see her IRL, I think I'll also like her. She's brave, strong (not physically), charismatic, kind-hearted, trustworthy. Unfortunately, her wishy-washy nature is enough to spoil it for me. She made me swear that I would never write a main character like that if I ever decided to try dabbling in storywriting. Although, as I said, her character development is good. Well, good enough.

Then, the ML. He is a good guy through and through. He is decisive, patient, etc etc etc. You know the drill. He waves the metaphorical green flag every time he's on screen. If I can be honest, he's probably carrying half the burden of the whole story. If there's one glaring negative trait about him is that he's one step too eager to die for our MC. His love for her is both selfless and selfish, and that caused him to think of always sacrificing himself first, despite MC's aversion to such idea. It doesn't sound like it makes sense, does it? How could someone be selfless and selfish at the same time? But it does, it really does make sense if you just try reading it till the end.

I can settle with 4/5, I'm feeling generous today. But honestly, 3.5/5 would be more accurate.

EDIT: down to 3/5 because the author wasted 6 side story chapters to tell about the 2nd ML past with MC. I skimmed through it, and I still hate him. Whatever happened to him, it doesn't change the fact that he is a disgusting and cowardly man. <<less

Its soo good, I cried for fhe FL.... even if sme back story is given to 'that' guy, I wont be sad for him. So far, I like the main leads interactions...i m waiting for more updates, dear author and translator...♡♡ it
