The Slag Gong wants to Kill me

I think my husband wants to kill me.

Whether it’s forgetting to turn off the gas or finding the bathroom door locked after I just finished bathing, it all makes me feel that he wants to kill me.

I know that I shouldn’t be considering this because we are a gay couple and we have been together for seven years.

Our relationship is also stable, and he is very good to me.

But I really think he wants to kill me.

It's dark. Not much but still enough. And the way of the ending was kinda unexpected. Still worth of your time. And a friendly reminder, throw away your morals before you read this

Mind blown. The story is just dark but at the same time in a way that you will still support the MC. I only give 4 stars because the ending between him and B or JQ is just a little sudden a little bit hard to understand. Other than that, you should probably try this. It's dark but not really disturbing

So unrealistic, really. There's even a LOT of plot holes. But all in all, the MC's setting character is pretty satisfying. I'm so glad that he's not unlike any other cheap shou in most danmei novels where the MC are so.... coward and..... push over that they'll be willing to forgive and be abuse in the name of love. I guess that's why it came out a little bit good for me. But if I compare this thriller and horror like genre to other novels I had read then this... more>> will get 2 stars for me. But well I had have fun so here's my 4 stars.

MC is really a pe*vert but let's look at the brighter side! Atleast he only get rid of the people who wronged him. Not a serial killer who mindless kill people because if he is then I'll give it a 1 star.

Editor B... really, I would have sympathize with him if he wasn't also a terrible person... <<less

When I saw this novel, my first thought was "Ah, this must be a comedy novel with a bunch of cute misunderstandings." :) I really, for god sake, thought so. But the whole story was just so twisted and dark, which didn't disappoint me at all. I have always liked the concept of a sly MC in every story so this one really suited my taste. Yet IMO, this novel was a little bit unrealistic. MC's plot seemed very shallow and the author also didn't go over the detail, everything... more>> was just explained briefly and we didn't really get that deep into the process. Everything else also felt like it was written out of convenience for the MC, everything was so smooth that it didn't feel real. I also found it hilarious that the characters didn't have a name of their own, it was just husband, childhood sweetheart, film emperor, A, B, C, D. I was actually expecting the extras to finally reveal their names <<less

This was a chilling thriller. Some parts were slightly unrealistic, but the MC 's actions and his revenge truly have me goosebumps. The only problem is that I couldn't be sure about the identity of the MC's lover in the end. It was pretty dark. So read it with that in mind.

It's literally Gone Girl... but yaoi.

Like Amy Dunne, MC is a writer who got cheated on and gets revenge. He's a literal psychopath, the revenge is much worse than Gone Girl too. The slag gong and his lover are bad, but MC is complete evil.

Well, not like I'm complaining. It's the first time I see a BL with such a ruthless protagonist, even the MC in Quickly Wear Face of Devil pales in comparison.

This novel is just pure cold-blooded mu*der. The protagonist way of describing his gruesome acts was definitely engrossing. The epilogue is a bit chaotic and there are some parts that I think should have been left alone but then if its not there, then the little romance in this story would be no romance at all.

The plot and the characterization of the protagonist reminds me of Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl, at the same time it was played out differently and in another level of sickness.

This story is not just somewhat HE, but definitely an HE. If we look at the MC's point of view, he got his wish; killing his scum of a husband and destroying the mistress' reputation. Therefore in the eyes of the protagonist; it's a happy end.

Regarding the romance...

The ML is none other than Editor B. Don't let the epilogue confuse you. Read the last chapters carefully. It was quite subtle and muddled and I get the feeling that the author wants to keep it a mystery until the very end so we can have this surprising twist but ended up confusing the hell out of us. In my opinion, the smut in the end between the ML and MC seems to be randomly thrown there to save what little romance they have in the novel as well as what kind of relationship 'trope' they have.

Some reviews have other variations of who the ML and I'm always up for discussion on why I believe the ML is Editor B.

I also saw another review that has a better explanation regarding about B as the ML. But here's my summarized (and lazy) take on it:

During the investigation, Editor B is the one of the two people who figure out that everything has been planned by MC. The other one is the mistress' childhood-friend-turned-policeman (but in the later's case is that he's all intuition without evidence to back up). Editor B has always been attentive to MC and was subtly implied by the author to be pining for MC for a long time.

The 'amnesia' was a test given by MC to ML to see how far his love and devotion towards him goes. It was also a trap to lure the childhood friend/policeman of his husband's mistress. The ML is described to have an ordinary job.

For a film emperor to have an amnesia for 3 years would arose speculation and for someone famous, every movement is being watched wherever you go so it's going to be tricky for the both of them, but it seems that the ML is rather ordinary. Oh and the policeman in the few last chapters recognize him when he's trying to rescue the mistress because he's the one who backs up MC when being interrogated by him; he was the alibi to MC's whereabouts during the time of the crime. And regarding the dead cheating husband's brother...

Lu Hai (the brother) didn't recognized the ML with MC when visiting the mistress. And that's a clue because IF ML is the film emperor he should've recognized him simply because: (1) He's the film emperor. He's big on the news and (2) The film emperor is his brother's mistress's ex.

But he didn't. The ML is described as a stranger. Which only leaves the forever loyal dog Editor B.

So yeah, that's my take on it.

The story is so gripping and I liked how the scum pair of cheaters ended. Hence 5 stars.

What I did not like is, the identity suspence. Im so confused till now about JG identity and back story.

Also would have loved to scum husband to be tortured mentally first. What oh well, he got his karma anyways.

Pretty good! Not what I expected but it’s interesting, though a little unrealistic. It makes sense but it kinda doesn’t, but over all, it’s pretty good. The imagery is kinda disturbing, considering it has themes of mu*der and all and it left me feeling quite uncomfortable.

Perfect thriller /mu*der mystery/revenge story. There is no significance of this being a BL novel. It is pretty cool and wouldn’t affect the story if it was switched to a BG story as well. The core is the story/plot itself. Very good and quick read

It was very good! If the author took more time to develop the plot, characters and mystery, it would have been a masterpiece (like the Yaoi „killing stalking“)

This novel is really interesting. It tells a story about a husband find that his partner want to kill him. It derailed downwards from then. Or upwards, if you see it from different perspective.

After thinking it over, I can see how the MC is a psycho. He actually degenerate all characters to nickname, husband, childhood friend, A, B, C, and D. Throughout the main story, you will not know their exact name. I will assume that the author is intentional and assume MC see others people as chess piece. Honestly,... more>> his brain is awesome.

Bottoms up, such a shame the husband wake the sleeping dragon. Well, good for the dog, I guess, got what he wants all along in the end. <<less
