Irredeemable garbage.

Since the rating isn't that bad and a few reviews are praising it, I went in thinking that I might kill some time with a good/mid-tier novel. How wrong I was.

There is absolutely nothing positive I can say about this piece of garbage, and plenty of negative things.

World-building is non-existent, and so is character development. We are told basically nothing about the world the story is set in, the political structure of the kingdom/noble families, etc. The MC seems to be mentally challenged and has a massive apology fetish, given how often he's sorry about everything, to everyone. The other characters are equally as badly written and change personalities, like flipping a switch, to whatever's convenient to the MC and the 'plot'.

Things just inexplicably happen without any forewarning or explanation. In one chapter we have the MC moping around his bedroom, eavesdropping on his family badmouthing him, and in the next chapter, he's already been an adventurer for a month and saved up money to buy s*aves. And that's despite him being incompetent in both swordsmanship and magic. How was he able to become an adventurer? Why it's obviously because he has retained his abilities and storage from the game he played. This fact is mentioned only in passing and completely out of nowhere, desipte being something major that should have gotten at least a chapter of attention, if not more.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There's so much more I could critique, but it's a waste of my time, and brain cells, to think about this nonsense any longer. Don't read this novel, it's a massive waste of time.

300 word chapters with lot of repetitions and no descriptions for anything other than women.

The MC is god-like since he retained all achievements, items and level up from his play through, a new game+. Nevertheless the power system is not explained and he defeats his enemies just because 'he's stronger and faster'.

There's an implied LITRPG system but the author was too lazy to implement it or even use bits of it to explain where the MC's power comes from.

It goes from good to bad real fast.

The MC is okay, but only at first. You see, he is focusing himself to avoid his death flags, but that only goes on for so long. Only for a few chapters and in the story, only for 2 months, and then everything goes to sh*t quite literally with how he brought the value of his former life as a Japanese of the modern era. FU**ING BULLSHIT.

The story is quite okay. Actually, the title already explains it all. To me, there is nothing... more>> but garbage ass MC doing sh*t. But the story itself sticks with the title quite right. There is nothing but harem in this story. The Secret Society part of it has already gone down the drain. And there is no saving it. You've got the heroine acting up like a big dog, an annoyance, and a JAPANESE MC who can't do jacksh*t about it, all with his nonsense way of doing things. I'm fed up with it, honestly.

Cheat, he is overpowered. Quite literally. You see, he had completed the game a lot of times (maybe, cuz I forgot), and the game had a feature where you could bring quite literally all of the items you owned in your previous save data of a completed game. There's no other word for it than OP, and yes, I'm the one who adds the tag OP Protag.

The pace of this novel is quite fast, but still, it is nevertheless fun. I rate it 3.5. If only the MC was doing it smart and not a FU**ING-- you know what? Let's just be over it with the rant. P.S. Why 2 stars? I was tempted to give 3 as reading this title you know exactle what kind of story you are getting yourself into so my expecation aren't high. But even for "turn off your brain" story this is very barebones.

Some chapters aren't probably not even 300 words long, and the characters and plot are just mentioned and not show, just stating what happened in that even in a 3 phrases. And to focus about nothing, in fact I wonder what this story is about?

• Is not a fighting story, because there even the curbstomping feel cheap.
• Is not organization building story, like "powers in the shadows" as there is minimal attention to the organization that the MC "accidently built".
• Is not a going against the plot in "tr*sh of count family" as the game story is mentioned twice in 100 chapters.
• Is not a dating story, as all girls are just cardboard archtypes that fall for the MC for literally one action, so much that even others characters think they had been brainwashed by the MC, in fact beside one girl 90% of the others characters aren't even described.
• Lastly the MC is boring, I feel that even the h**ny dog would have been better but not even that.

This is a fairly average harem novel, likely good for when you're bored or feel like a brief power trip. It's very convenient, and women fall for the MC and beg him that he's their soulmate and that they'll commit su*cide if they can't become his s*ave within half a chapter. Developments are also not particularly far sighting - the MC just ens*aves everyone, from his old maid to his family to his girlfriend's family. He doesn't particularly have any qualms against s*avery, or anything really, so he just lives... more>> as he likes. Overall, a solid 3/5 for decent writing but a mid tier plot. <<less

The story is pretty straightforward in that the MC loved playing a fantasy game and pretty much played it all the time until he eventually played it to his death, like really he died while playing it. He's then reincarnated into the game as one of the small time villains who is slated to die shortly after his reincarnation. So he becomes worried that he'll die soon enough and starts to think about how to survive. He then starts building an underground force to work for him so that he... more>> can survive.

The thing is though that the MC way overpowered and he also makes his followers (harem) overpowered as well.

It's never actually explained just how strong the MC is but when you finished the game you could start a new game + and keep everything, which made ppl complain but the MC thought it was a man's romance to get OP from the getgo and just kept making his character stronger which his new incarnation has inherited.

To give some comparisons on how powerful he is from what I've read so far being around lvl 40 means your one of the strongest ppl in the game world. He easily trains his harem members up to lvl 300+ and their then said to be strong enough to destroy a country on their own. Later on the MC teaches a classmate to cast a spell that has no effect outside of summoning ice flowers to give a nice visual effect. The classmate who is the strongest in the school pretty much is only able to summon one ice flower, the classmate who's already a harem member and around lvl 300+ is able to summon ten ice flowers and when the MC cast it himself to show it he filled an arena with innumerable ice flowers.

The harem to some degree acts like a cult with the MC as their one and true god. They also push him around to some degree and force him to stuff most of the time because he's so timid. For example some of them has developed masochistic tendencies and one even asks him to step on her which he feels uncomfortable doing but relents as he feels responsible for this or how one of them wants to be treated as his dog.

Most of the story so far is written from a 1st person perspective seen from the MC with some chapters being from a 3rd person view or other POV's. The chapters are fairly short and so far it's mostly been a bit of a slice of life.

I'm a bit torn on this one if I like it or not but I'll keep on reading for a bit longer.

Edit: Went and finished it and well there wasn't any childcare in the story so I went and removed the tag since the last 2 chapters are pretty much just about how the MC is forced to imp**gnate everyone, with the last chapter having the main heroines gang up on the MC while holding the babies and telling him he has to imp**gnate every last one. So removed the childcare tag since there wasn't any in the story. <<less

To give an example

The MC acts like a d*ck and there's a girl that's investigating the MC and finds out that the MC is a good person and the literal next chapter swears allegiance to the MC and praises his goodness.

That happened in the span of 2 chapters, please don't waste your time and read something better like demon prince academy or anything else just don't waste your time

The title is misleading, after few chapter that even shorter than standard chapter. (like, I bet its even less than 300 words.) The story gets old and you can find many streotypes plot. The worst of all, is the fact that the secret society that mentioned in the title can't be found anywhere in the said story.

So before someone waste their time reading the raw let me just mention why it's follow the classic streotypes.

Heroines that have little to no commonsense and becoming a loyal to MC for one thing he did.

The previous ", Main Character." That somehow acts more childish than standard villain.

The unnecessary "Ehhhh!" For no reason that kills the atmosphere of the promised story...

And many more that I'm too lazy to write.

This is one of the most lazily written generic power fantasy novels I've ever read.

The chapters are short af. There is barely anything contained in the chapters.

The world building are null. It's like the author realizes that he is writing a clone of another novel that everyone has already read 17 thousand times so he decides to not write any world building as we already know what it is all about.

This is one of the worst novel out there. The fact that it had a promising start but then went downhill very fast is aoutrageus.

Very short chapters and thus lacks of depth. 1&2 dimensional characters (including the mc). Messy storyline. Excessive uneeded deus-ex-machina power. Low-to-none fight scene.

This is quite literally a thrift store version of Eminence in the shadow. Each chapter is short, 500 words each. The MC is ridiculously overpowered as are his s*aves and there isn't much in the form of world building. But, it is a somewhat okay read when you have nothing else to do.

This is a light read to pass the time and chapters are all short. He is too op from the start, even his maids and s*aves......... this guy has a huge harem eventhough he didnt want it to... more than a 100. The final 2 chapters are all about how he spends day imp**gnating them all.

Some people might be wondering how this novel got a high rank with so many bad comments. I'll give you the answer. This novel caters to people's guilty pleasure. There is no need for a good character, no need for coherency, the only thing needed is the guilty pleasure one feels when reading this. Would I normally recommend this? Probably not since I don't want people to see me in a strange way, but I bet a lot of people would get hooked if they tried reading this.

The concept is intriguing but the execution is extremely lacking. The characters are all one note and have next to no character development. Their personality changes at the drop of a hat. The characters are also mentally ret*rded. The plot is barely there. There is nothing going for this story. There is no satisfying fight or face slapping scenes, no ecchi stuff (besides one maid wanting to be stepped on, for one scene), etc. Even the comedy is lacking. The gender bender, prince Claude became a princess then engaged to MC is absolutely a Huge Turn Off, it's disgusting. I have a high expectations for this novel before that gender bender stories, would give it 7/10 but now it's 2/10. Tr*shy stories. Just axed it.

It's not good, but it's not that bad too~

If you want to shut your brain off from complicated story from other story you read now, this is quite good for those who like OP MC without trouble

But if you seek world building & much explanation, there is none

The gag was too heavy

Good: Short chapters

Bad: Slow pacing, fanatical harem, easy/OP/boring powers, flat characters, bad "jokes", dumb villains, EVERY imaginable stereotype

Really couldn't get anything right. Fails on nearly everything. Only got so far since it took under 30min.

The Main Problem would be of how short each chapter is and how fast paced it is, but I am giving this a 5 star Review because I have no taste, have a Yandere Bias, like seeing protagonists worshipped and this reminds me of Eminence in Shadows.

Story is good at the beginning but it gets bad at the later chapters. No explanation about how he got strong, the leveling system, the world etc. It doesnt make sense how a 1 time rescue got a person devoted to you unlike a normal process in other novels. In short, it was the best novel to waste your time and a bad choice if your looking for enterntaiment. Literally worse unlike the other "shut your brain"novels.

This is just the most average and repetitive JAPANESE novel. Just a 3/5 and that is just me being nice. Frankly, it is a 2/5. The most typical japanese MC in the world, who let everyone walks over him and being a beyond beta male. There is no logic on absolute anything done by him and his reactions

The tittle is a little missleading. There is no secret society really, hell. The "Secret society" part comes way later and it is mostly something done behind MC's back by his s*aves. Even... more>> when it's mentioned, it isn't spoken about till around chapter 196... and even then it just mention how awesome MC is in the eyes of his s*aves and how they have invented trains and shit.

s*aves? More like cult really. They are not even s*aves because they go behind his back and even inder him by speaking out of line and refusing to do what he wants because they are in love with him. Which the MC just exhales and turns the blind eye to.

Don't get me wrong, I love stories about misunderstandings subordinates and harem... when it is done right. The subordinates? Who is who? Who is this s*ave? Was does she look like? When was she introduced? We only get names and no description, seriously. This feels almost worse than the Slime Datta Ken novel in which NO ONE gets a description.

The s*aves have as much character as a cardboard box, if only Rebecca or one or two of his s*aves had the whole "I want him to treat me like a dog" kink, then it would be fine. But ALL of his s*aves are practically the same. No one acts or seem different than the other.

Fights? What fights. There are no fights in this novel, the only "fights" that truly happens in which the MC is part of is at around chapter 180 I think when he actually hits someone more than one time.

The novel could be better if MC tries to at least have common sense and actually be proactive and doesn't become a carpet for everyone. If his s*aves have more emotions, one or two that like him but aren't "I want him to step on me!" s*aves...

Till chapter 200, there are no sexy scenes whatsover. Just a headsups because that is what most people search when reading a huge harem fic. <<less
