This is just the most average and repetitive JAPANESE novel. Just a 3/5 and that is just me being nice. Frankly, it is a 2/5. The most typical japanese MC in the world, who let everyone walks over him and being a beyond beta male. There is no logic on absolute anything done by him and his reactions

The tittle is a little missleading. There is no secret society really, hell. The "Secret society" part comes way later and it is mostly something done behind MC's back by his s*aves. Even... more>> when it's mentioned, it isn't spoken about till around chapter 196... and even then it just mention how awesome MC is in the eyes of his s*aves and how they have invented trains and shit.

s*aves? More like cult really. They are not even s*aves because they go behind his back and even inder him by speaking out of line and refusing to do what he wants because they are in love with him. Which the MC just exhales and turns the blind eye to.

Don't get me wrong, I love stories about misunderstandings subordinates and harem... when it is done right. The subordinates? Who is who? Who is this s*ave? Was does she look like? When was she introduced? We only get names and no description, seriously. This feels almost worse than the Slime Datta Ken novel in which NO ONE gets a description.

The s*aves have as much character as a cardboard box, if only Rebecca or one or two of his s*aves had the whole "I want him to treat me like a dog" kink, then it would be fine. But ALL of his s*aves are practically the same. No one acts or seem different than the other.

Fights? What fights. There are no fights in this novel, the only "fights" that truly happens in which the MC is part of is at around chapter 180 I think when he actually hits someone more than one time.

The novel could be better if MC tries to at least have common sense and actually be proactive and doesn't become a carpet for everyone. If his s*aves have more emotions, one or two that like him but aren't "I want him to step on me!" s*aves...

Till chapter 200, there are no sexy scenes whatsover. Just a headsups because that is what most people search when reading a huge harem fic. <<less

Honestly, I thought the story will focus more on the secret society, but it's actually more on the MC facing the misunderstanding and obstacles due to him being the transmigrated to the 'tr*sh duke son that everyone hates even his family", which just so happened accidentally create a secret society. Which is okay, but was just surprised.

Anyway, I have to emphasize that everyone in this world (except the MC) is crazy, they have a few screws loose. I guess it's the setting and all, maybe that's how the 'people' act... more>> and react in the game world where the MC transmigrated to but get ready to see someone looking at the MC from "I hate you with all my being, you're the scummiest, shittiest, human pile of filth, that I ever knew and killing you will be doing the world a favor!" to "Spank me daddy, gib me your seed".

Keep in mind, the person the MC transmigrated into was indeed tr*sh (but there were a lot of other 'tr*shier' character, just that the MC was the most open about it) so I guess it make sense why some of the character take such an extreme look on the MC like that. So just remember that cause as you read you might forget how really tr*shy the MC before transmigration was, so when there's a new character being introduced (usually harem candidate) you might get a big shock on why she is very hostile.

So its a good read, fun read, not amazing, but it quenched my need for this sort of novel. Though I hoped the MC would be a bit more... ruthless to say, I mean dont get me wrong, he delivered sweet revenge to those who deserved it is just he is weak to his harem and a bit too patience. Of course, there's that "I want to live a peaceful life" mindset, which make him mostly passive throughout most situation.

There is this harem member that after being saved by the MC then fall madly in love with him but then 'threaten' the MC to marry her, the MC of course tried to resist but again he is weak to his harem and everyone around him are crazy for the MC to the point of mental illness so they arent much help. That don't sit well for me, threaten someone who just saved you. But, she is loyal (even willingly mark herself as the MC s*ave) and she gave the middle finger to anyone who insult the MC so I guess its not too bad.

Its good to waste your time tho, if u dont expect anything from first reading, like awesome world building, etc.. But its still worth to read cause every chapter doesnt have much words, and the story became enjoyed if u read it from prespective 'slice of life genres with add some action'. Its still great novel to read so I recomended it, im really prefer some novel like this than some pshyco novel with OCD MC even thats novel have some good world building

Ngl, reading this made my brain hurt sooooo much. The first few chapters were kinda decent but it got worse the further I've read. There were no developments nor depth to the characters. The MC became op without any detailed explaination. Heck, we don't even get an idea of what his full abilities are. The plot (if there even is one) was also garbage.

Less of a critique of the novel and more of a warning for anyone who reads novels on their phones. You should absolutely stay away from this if you aren't using a browser with addblock. The translator's site is absolutely riddled with adds when reading from a phone. Literally one after every other sentence- as well as hyperlinks attached to random words in the text, likely leading to more adds. The whole thing screams malware, and for your device's protection you should stay far away.

Another no good wimpy MC that thinks that every problem will go away by being a little bit*h and letting every one slap him in the face.

The few times that he stands due himself are so few and unsatisfying that they might as well not exist.

This is one of those amazingly written pieces that are easily underestimated and discarded. I know what the end of the blurb (currently) says... however, don't lower your IQ, instead apply it generously to following the insane troll logic of this novel. Everything does actually fall logically into place, with no gaps... however it is not by the common sense of our dear Earth in this universe.

I have seen comments that the ending was rushed, however... I disagree. Instead I would say that it was simply not dragged out. The... more>> ending includes a time skip so that we (the readers) aren't bored by the exact same kind of insignificant mundane day-to-day type of details that the novel already mostly skipped over. We don't see the MC raving about different recipes every 3 chapters, so of course the ending skips over details about cake... and the rest is all along the same lines.

Nothing is for everyone, that goes for this novel, too. Perhaps you are not in the target audience, in that case, please move along. However if you are able to follow the insane troll logic that the author maliciously and gleefully hides behind the façade of the "misunderstanding" genre, I truly hope you'll gain a lot of enjoyment from this story.

Super bad read even for those turn off brain kind of novel, and its frankly annoying the chapters are wayyyyy to short. I can’t believe I read this much of this story. The MC and his dumba** sensibilities and his personality is crap. He think that by hiding himself he can make the situations he finds himself in better but he usually just makes him look even worse. He states he feels guilty for not doing big brother stuff to siblings that treated him like 💩. Everything he says does not make sense.

the storyline is very fast where MC is aware of his past memories and has everything he has in the game which should be a hero character while he is a villain.

So I feel a bit lacking in reading if MC is very op This is the reason I only gave 3/5 because it's still worth reading, but not for me suits my taste

The definition of mid comes to mind when I think of this story. If you've got a day to kill and want to read a meh story here's your chance. Coincidentally that's what happened to me, the chapters are so short you can probably get through this pretty quickly.
