Basically this is just not good. Author keeps repeating the same information to fill the word count. Time sense is off. Things happen way fast off screen. Author is putting in cliches without understanding why they are there in the first place. So they are not laying the necessary groundwork to make things sense. Only thing going for the story is, MC humiliates this girl. Sadly since author is just incompetent, that scene has zero catharsis. I am not invested in MC nor body MC possessed. And girl is just... more>> some random idiot. So there is no feeling of payback. Though If you are into hating people or you have a baggage to unload on a random girl, you might get a kick out of it.

(Sure I can imagine that scene being part of a grand clever plan of MC against protagonist. But it's not my job to fill in the blanks. It's authors responsibility to lay the groundwork for the cliches to fit.) <<less

Ten chapters in and I already hate it. First, I like the MC's original mindset of not getting involved in the story and instead just enjoy his new life. He is going to ignore the heroines but steal the protagonist's opportunities.

But the moment he gets a system, boom! "I'm gonna steal everything from the protagonist! This include his women!". The system is basically a villain system that is build around the stat Luck. So, stealing anything related to the protagonist that can affect the story allows the MC to raise... more>> his luck.

But, realized the problem? MC could have just limit his trouble by stealing the protagonist's opportunities. But no. The moment he gets the system, he immediately switches from his previous mindset and target the protagonist's women. Fcking hell. Thinking with his dck. Ten chapters in and I can already see the MC being a pretentious and arrogant prick. <<less

Looks like Chinese authors now have been trying their hand in this recent trend of regret and villain genre which Korean author have mastered. This story has a similar start like 'I am a Gao Fushuai Villain'. So far there's nothing new in this story its similar to many other Chinese Urban Harem novel. Let's see how author will make this story much more interesting in upcoming chapters as there are only 35 chapter written.

I wanted to write a review to help people find the story. So far its been pretty good, the characters are a bit cliché, but that is kind of the whole point with this type of novel. I really hope that he and the maid end up together though, and not in some long drawn out way that takes 200 chapters.

Story progress is actually good

-MC smart and not dense, a Villain and not some of those low-rate villains who become a good guy.

-MC uses his family connection/power to do things

I Recommend this novel 5/5.

Looking forward to this good novel.

Meh.. For me I'm not too invest in this.. As like most of the Chinese harem.. it has one problem.. Domineering harem. I like MC that possessed villain body but this is not it. Pretty cliche in Chinese novel standard. I'm not really mad or feel nothing for the ex-fiance of MC because for me she is kinda caught in a crossfire between her's and MC's family. Then she begged the MC as if it's like she is the one who is in wrong.

The situation was pretty complicated but MC... more>> can soften it up a bit. But like almost all of the Chinese novels, it got arrogant young master types MC. The MC adapted fast to the world. And he got that chinese young master rizz that can stole someone (bodyguard woman) heart with one sentence.

So since the novel got 4+* rating I'mma balance it up by giving 2* to lower it up..... a bit.

It's a decent read not that bad since it's readable. But to cliché for me to deserve that overall 4* rating. <<less

It should be noted that the translator seems to being doing half chapters and isn't putting the chapter title. So on the raw, we are at chapter 11 out of 35 right now.

Not a big deal, since the translation itself is fine. It'd just make it a bit weirder for people who MTL and are confused.

That said, is this kinda fun? Yes. Is it generic? Yes. Don't think too deep. Some of the tropes from real Urban Fantasy is twisted to make the heroine and hero of the regular stories... more>> seem worse than they are and to make the villain seem more pitiful.... but it's fine, you get used to it...

Not a master piece, but a decent read.

There aren't a lot of chapters, so translator might catch up fast and we'd have to wait for chapters pretty quick... be warned about that. <<less

First off... the title makes no sense unless it just mistranslated in English. Retired villain? MC current body never done any villainous acts and MC acting like an Villain currently (take out the retired part for it to make sense).

This is just your standard Chinese power fantasy with MC possessing/transmigration into an So-called villain body with an System, rich powerful family + the bonus point of knowing the story setting/plot... Basically like an Japanese powerful fantasy except it Chinese and focus Cultivation too... MC basically can't lose with all his... more>> advantages unless the setting/story is hardcore hard/dangerous. MC bit arrogant but 50% of power fantasy MC often are I guess...

I pity the MC's former Fiancee...I don't hate but I do think she a bit s*upid though, I blame her parents/grandparents more for not explaining how the MC's former body's family is more powerful than them and they were the ones who sold her for more money/connections. You would think parents would explain to their child why made the engagement was good.. but meh whatever she will still in the harem and will fall for the MC.

Translation is okay level. Just read this to kill time, nothing special or amazing. Just standard power fantasy by the author. <<less
