Qiao Yang transmigrated into a novel full of the rich and the powerful’s scheming.

In the novel, he fought with his brothers over the family’s inheritance. He engaged in internecine strife and the brothers turned against each other. Also in the novel, he fought openly and secretly with the male protagonist, Gu Ye, in the business world. The two just couldn’t coexist together.

Only to quickly be defeated and lose everything. In the end, his reputation was ruined, and even abandoned by his family, he came to a miserable end.

Qiao Yang checked his bank account balance and counted the long series of zeros behind it: ten … hundred … thousand … hundred thousand … million…ten million.

Damn! There’s no point in me continuing to work hard anymore!

First he gave up his middle position to his brothers, and then withdrew the bidding project with the male protagonist Gu Ye. From then on, he stayed away from the business world and lived the life of a noble son.

Every day is to play music, go to nightclubs, relax and enjoy the time. It’s just that people who were at odds with him, the look in his eyes is getting more and more kind.

MTL'd and it was pretty easy to understand, but I'm downright disappointed. I enjoyed it in the beginning, the MC was hilarious and seemed like he had an objective (finding his brother, which I wholly supported!) But UGH I kinda wish there wasn't any romance on here at all! MC's family was quite entertaining, Mo Yu was cute, but both the MC and ML are just not it...

I liked how MC and ML interacted at the start, had a bit of an enemies-to-lovers kind of vibe, but then it heads... more>> into the SAME s*upid OLD CLICHE - 'protected-bunny' shou and 'protector-wolf' gong AHHHH I'M SICK OF IT.

I'm not even gonna mention how the face-slappings are your usual and typical, and that they're always with the result of the MC being seen in a better light.

My main issue is that the MC becomes this innocent, romantically-naive person that gets easily manipulated by the ML. I admit, I enjoyed how shameless and jealous ML was in the beginning but I hated seeing the MC mentally degrade into a child throughout the story - like he literally has no awareness whatsover that MAYBE, PERHAPS, it's not too wise to go in a hot spring with someone/sleep in the same bed with someone that pays too much attention to you- AND that same person literally admitted that they bat for the other team???

Can I please just have one more novel where the MC actually has IQ/EQ, I'm so near my breaking point. <<less

Wow! It's been a while since I got to enjoy a story that I thought so simple. Listen, I love this. There may some angst at beginning, and MC and ML first meeting and second encounter is freaking funny. I love their progress sigh. Anyway, here you have: some redeemed canon fooder (not all of it, but there's some who is not so dumb), brothers love, family love, awesome MC who can be aggressive but also can be shy, Friendship, plot that not only always sweet but there's also some conflict so it's not boring, spicy one, ML that Has gentle mask but he reveals his true self in front of MC (and then be gentle for real) I enjoyed a lot!

Ps: don't worry the brother is NOT the ML otherwise I wouldn't read this till the end, no matter good the book is.

Ps: I love the MC he can be sweet and naive (about some things) but he's also can be domineering and aggressive especially to protect people that important to him <3

[spolier]... also MC who tell the truth of his transmigration only to two people, but still.. it's pretty cool, and touching aaaaah

This story is mostly about an easy-going life like another reviewer said. I dropped it in chap 70 cuz it got boring, the villain are pretty simple and the MC doesn't even need to lift a finger to resolve it.

Even though I like when the MC has connection and powerful people the writing style and plot don't bring the impact that I expected. But I still enjoyed the first part.

Dropped. It's not as fluffy as you'd think it'd be but I mean it's not a serious novel either. I think it is enjoyable, but I'm a big romance person & imo the ML is not my taste.

I don't mind smut (not that I think this goes into detail at all) or possessive MLs, but um the ML just gives me like f*ck boy vibes only surprise surprise bc he's more s*xual & wants that from the MC, which is honestly realistic. But why I say f*ck boy is that... more>> it feels like he just wants to do it and it's not to say there's no consent but it feels like selfish. Can't describe it very well.

I didn't read the official translation so maybe it will be better. Overall I personally don't feel the romance, but I could be picky. I can imagine ppl screaming in excitement reading those scenes. But I just think it's lacking. Something. <<less

Sweet cute story about the transmigrated MC and the (original story) ML. Nice fluffy romance and heartfelt family fluff - the two elder brothers and father are great and very spoiling towards MC. Not much of drama/intrigues/dog blood/spoilt b*tches/rude mother-in-laws - just plain sweet love story.

A very simple romantic story, atmospheric and sweet. Not much drama and though there are misunderstandings, they are not unreasonable nor exaggerated and gets cleared up quickly. I like how they used the transmigration of the characters for emotional expression and kept a sense of reality with no system or golden finger provided. I really appreciated the fact that the author really highlighted the difference between the original body owner and the protagonist not just by explaining personality but also by their choice in life and what they are good... more>> at.

Spoiler

The protagonist doesn't take over the life of the original body but rather paves his own profession and lifestyle while still maintaining familial connections. The choice to come out about the transmigration to the original body owner's father and his inability to understand the body owner's profession along with having minimal memory really gives a realistic touch. Your life experience and education makes you. You can't just change yourself just like that with a new body and memory. This perfectly showcased here. Also how the story made use of the protagonist's brother was fresh. It didn't take a clichéd route.

The male lead has all the typical over bearing president thing going on for him - high level of possessiveness, jealousy and hidden manipulation. But because the author spends time giving us a sense of his inner thoughts, character and his deep uneasiness in a new relationship, you don't hate him. He's reasonable when confronted and the how he goes about his one sided crush is relatable.

Rating: 3/5 (idk how to change it, accidentally pressed 4)

It started off really good and I was surprised but sure enough it let me down. I feel like the characters lost their distinct personality traits they had in the beginning and became the typical naive shou and possessive gong. I was kinda hoping for a better plot with how the MC heard his brother's voice before dying and why the dad had a dream? Like they were mentioned but the cause was never explained. What happened to the original... more>> Qiao Yang and Su Cheng? Overall it's a pretty boring story, I kept reading hoping it would pick up in the middle but it didn't. Also I don't really like how the gong always has to have an oversized 'd' and make it painful for the MC. Like they don't have to be that perfect or extreme in every aspect, it's human to have flaws. So it really irked me and I didn't find their relationship as cute. ML's possessiveness was not written well and just made me cringe or feel annoyed. I didn't like the story, but I also didn't expect much so go ahead and read it if you like this trope. <<less

4 Stars for what I read. It was cute. Started reading because it sounded like a refreshing transmigration premise, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm stopping at Ch 56 though. Not because it's bad, it just feels like a good place to end. Might read the rest eventually, but for now I'm considering it completed.

Let's just say I love this novel and wanted MC to be a top. MLs dirty mind is a turn off for me since MC is so pure and handsome and honestly ML don't deserve him since he's so good! I am like MCs big sister hands off my cabbage! Good thing MCs brother was in the middle to suppress him, ML is too possessive it sometimes irks me. How he was being manipulative.

A light fluffy read. While there's a bit of drama here and there, it's very very light ー like a pinch of salt in a gallon of water. Still, you might see something more to this novel.

There's not much conflict here and it's like a quasi "slice of life." (Not really a "slice of life" but with how light the events are, I'd say it's somewhat reaching that genre, especially near the end). There are villains but they don't really have much punch.

Although one thing that really impacted me on... more>> this novel was when the characters gets emotional. It's overall peaceful but there's something on how the author shows or specifies certain aspects of the characters that makes me feel as if the characters are three-dimensional, especially the MC.

There are three specific points that really made me remember it: (please note that these are heavy spoilers)

1.
Spoiler

When the MC broke down because Qiao Zhen (The Novel's Qiao Yang's Oldest Brother with the same looks and temperament as Qiao Sheng) wasn't the brother that he knows (which is Qiao Sheng = his brother in his original world). There was a bar that was similar to their bar in his original world but Qiao Zhen wouldn't listen to him. Still, the MC didn't give up because he has hope.

He made a song, one that the MC made for Qiao Sheng in their world as a birthday present, hoping that maybe it'll help Qiao Sheng remember but Qiao Zhen wasn't Qiao Sheng and even didn't take time to listen to the song. The MC felt heartbroken once he realized it while mentioning in his heart that the higher the hope, the deeper the disappointment.

This is the little conflict that the author made which somehow made the MC a bit more 3D. It's a light conflict compared to the usual but it somehow sticks.

[collapse]

2.
Spoiler

While the MC is starting to integrate more into his new world, the author didn't forget to give us glimpses of his old world and relate it to his new world. The most memorable would be about the orphans in the charity.

The orphans are brothers as well and it reminded the MC of his and his brother's own predicament in their past. In this time, there was a charity event and one of the beneficiaries is the orphanage that the two children are part of. Sadly, the adults can only see the beauty amd grandeur of the charity event and failed to really see what a charity event is truly all about.

This little tidbit was kind of a lesson, not just to the characters but to the readers as well. There's no excessive drama to the lesson but it will nag at you because it's true ー it's really happening in real life.

[collapse]

3.
Spoiler

When the MC realized that he no longer had memories of Qiao Yang (the original owner of the body), he had a sense of crisis. It was the point wherein it's been finalized ー Qiao Yang, the MC, is now the one who would live in this world.

It was then followed by the reveal that the father actually knows that his Qiao Yang, the original owner of the body, was no longer in this world. Imagine the grief that the old father had...

Now note that the next sentences are just my own perception/interpretation to the novel's words and isn't actually placed explicitly on the story...

The father didn't show his grief but he was looking forward to the reconciliation of the brothers, probably just accepting that it was even a blessing that he can see it. It's not a true reconciliation since it was no longer his Qiao Yang but the father wanted to atleast see it. The father cried when Qiao Yang, the MC, played the piano while dedicating the song to all of them. It was that point that the father finally let go of his grief and welcomed this new life.

[collapse]

So yeah, it was a light read but like other novels, there are some parts that are open to interpretation. And the more that you see, the more it'll feel that the simple things are beautiful too. <<less

This novel is a gem on it's own. It has its own characteristic as a whole.

I do love this but the ML really has many flavors. He change many times nonchalant at first then strick president to caring friend when suddenly he became obsessed? Overbearing?? Then a hot blooded teenager and many more.??

The MC look strong and witty at first but in the later part he became weak and naive?? Not that Im complaining. But sort off.

well its understandable that his focus and attention is in the music so he... more>> won't think deeply in other areas..

Yes. I have many complains but I still like it. 😂. The story is good that is all matters.

though I like reading this but when it comes to reality I would likely "unlike it".. Not the story itself but in one character.

I like SU CHENG the best 😆..

This really is very easy to MTL, though sometimes with some amusing effects ... more>>
Spoiler

(definitely not talking about that time at the fancy event when someone wanted to introduce people to the MC and the father asked to introduce them to his brother instead, but the MTL went "if you know a good partner, first introduce my c*ck?".. Definitely, cough.

[collapse]

It's a pretty solid story with lots of cliche dog food, misunderstandings and face slapping. There's nothing particularly outstanding about it, but it's also not a bad one in its genre; I was entertained enough to read it to the very end and enjoyed it despite its shortcomings. Enough so that the aforementioned end felt rather sudden and I even wanted to read a bit further. Presumably the extras will balance that out - though I couldn't find those in the MTL.

One thing this novel has too much of is definitely vinegar and jealousy - the ML is constantly jealous of everyone who even breathes in the MC's way, or whom he deigns to glance at himself. There's also a whole lot of dog blooded misunderstandings, but it's still within reasonable limits when it comes to Chinese BL - by far not the worst case I've read. Either way, if you're not a fan of a jealous ML
Spoiler

who wishes to shut the MC in a small dark room but restrains himself because of fear of being hated, you might want to avoid reading - he actually considers doing just that more than once.

[collapse]

Tldr: pleasant read to pass the time, rather full of clichés particular to its genre, a lot of jealousy and some face slapping, entertaining enough a story and very readable in MTL. <<less

I finished the novel by MTL. It's very easy to read and there are not many idioms used here. So if you're hooked with the recent chapters and doesn't have the patience to wait for the next chapter, then go ahead and try it.

*spoiler alert

The plot is good. Though transmigration is already cliche, what separates this novel among the rest is that two people transmigrated to a book, the MC and his brother. I love their relationship and cried a few times because of how many sacrifices his older brother... more>> did for him. At first, I thought that they weren't really related because they're both orphans (i thought that the older brother lied to MC about being blood related but they're really related) and we'll exprience a romantic love between them when they meet again inside the book. But then the MC met the ML and I knew that it ain't gonna happen which made me feel a little disappointed since in the beginning of the novel, the older brother was often mentioned and I thought he was the ML, sigh.

Anyways, the ML is still okay. From what I read in the MTL, the ML asks the MC for consent most of the time so that's a check. He's your typical ML, rich, good in business management, big vingar jar, handsome and has high endurance and strength hehe. However, the author made him more realistic. Since all he's been doing is related to business since young, that's what he is good at. He ain't gary sue who can cook any dishes or play the violin or fight against everybody and win (he's still OP since he only lost to MC's brother who is a very expirienced fighter [i still think he's a bug, he's more OP than the ML]). However, what I like about him was that he took his time learning how to cook for MC, always very considerate to MC, always supporting MC to do what he wanted to do, not wanting to use MC for business relations, always letting the MC have the freedom interacting with other people (though sometimes he is very jealous, he won't lock the MC in a small dark room but he would tell the MC how he honestly feels and MC would try his best to coax him to not feel jealous), and not forcing the MC to be the bottom (yes, he let MC think he was the top AHAHAHHAHAHA lol, anyway, the MC is the bottom, fyi), etc. In any case, he's the very the ML that other MLs should look up to.

Now about the MC, I don't think there's any need for any growth in the personality department since he's already grown in his previous world. But he's very dull in the love department. At the beginning, he thought that he and ML are very good friends. However, when he realized that he liked the ML, he immediately acted and confessed to ML. He's that simple. So I really like his character, very decisive and straightforward. He's very skilled in the piano and can compose and write lyrics. He can also fight. He isn't very good in business management so when the opportunity arose, he immediately resigned so that he would not implicate the family business. He felt the love of his family and felt guilty that he isn't really their original family member. So he told his father honestly. Sigh, he's too lovely. I was annoyed when he was forced to take the negative pots from the original and he was even scolded very fiercely by other people. For example, there wss a person the original harassed in high school. Fortunately, the victim didn't take revenge. The MC took him as his best friend and tried to compensate the victim and he got the chance to reach his dreams with the help of MC. And there was the original's eldest brother who looks exactly like his brother, the MC was full of expectations that he was his brother from his previous world but all he got was a scolding that pretty much hurt the MC's feelings. I also like that the MC told the ML that he isn't the original. All is good in the end, no complicated feelings whatsoever. Anyway, the MC is very good.

I was very surprised about the father, who knew that the original was replaced by the MC. He didn't try to isolate the MC but treated him well as his son. I really love this character. He was sad that the orginal is gone but held it in and tried his best to be the stronghold of the family. He's a family-oriented man, who gets sad when one son leaves the house and gets happy when all sons are together and are getting along with each other. Anyway, he's a great dad.

Though there are some plotholes about how the MC and his brother went to another world. Why his brother got another identity and body. Did the original sacrifice his life so that the family won't be ruined, which made the MC transmigrate to replace him to save the family? If so, then what is the brother's role in this? Is the novel a parallel universe of the previous world since the MC resembles the orginal in name and body, his brother resembles the original's eldest brother, and their dead parents who resembles the orginal's parents.

Anyways, it's a good novel. The smut is not that detailed, but still mentioned. The side characters and villains are realistic and have their own stories. Anyways, im tired of writing now, just read it. <<less

Overall I would say the novel is average. I like the characters but there could've been more development and I liked the more controlled version of possessiveness that the author gave the two guys even if the relationship was still borderline questionable. The translation quality wasn't very good but I may have just been reading a bad copy. Still overall average but it made for a good enough read to pass the time.

I mtled it.. It was pretty easy to understand.

The story itself is good and you will enjoy it if you like the 'face slapping' kind of books.

I only deducted 1 star because in middle it got a little boring. Middle part isn't as good as first and last part.

And on personal preference I love it because MC confessed to ML that he transmigrated.
