- The world seemed interesting.
Con-
- The worst forced plot armor for an antagonist I've seen in a while at around chapter 100.
Dropped.It didn't.

- Pretty much every pretty girl is into the MC
I like these type of novels for relaxing because it's generic enough that you can literally put yourself in the MC's shoes and it thus feels like a mindless power trip. Although I wasn't looking for some masterpiece, it pleasantly surprised me on more than one occasion. Good Points:-
- Fights and cultivation are acceptable
- MC actually uses his brains for the most part and comes up with really interesting ways of solving problems rather than acting like a ret*rd
- MC builds genuine connections with people around him
- MC is surprisingly super loyal to his Dao partner unlike other novels where they'll add everyone to his harem
There are always going to be little issues in massive novels like these, but a few items warranted mentioning. Bad points:We don't really see much exploration of the other Ten Sacred Lands, nothing in the other provinces beyond the boundary steles, none of the planes in the otherworldly battlefield, and I think a lot more time could've been devoted to this. Not really blaming the author much because this novel is gargantuan and I can't imagine not getting tired of writing it.

- Dumb logic. Most of the time, everything makes sense, the MC makes great choices and comes up with elegant solutions. There are other times where some things are done which make no sense at all. A specific example of something that doesn't make sense though is:

All that aside, I still really enjoyed this novel. There is some rinse and repeat with competitions both martial and pill, but none of those arcs really dragged on for very long so I didn't mind at all. To summarize, I knew what I signed up for going into this and that's exactly what I got.Heavenly oaths. They are literally SO underused that it pisses me off. Why is there not a standardized way of making transactions or promises using oaths? If they're so binding, how is it acceptable for people to brush it off when asked to give one? Why are people sometimes disregarded even after giving a well worded oath? Even putting that aside, the oath itself doesn't make sense. What are the conditions to give one? We see an example of the subordinate sect of Ninesuns make an oath not to reveal the Herb Garden or his sect will be destroyed, and when he actually breaks it, the sect starts getting f*cked by lighting. Why can't you make an oath with your enemy as the condition? For example, I could make an oath saying: "I will not touch this rock or else <insert greatest enemy> will get plowed by 300 ascended goats", and then proceed to touch the rock. Basically, this whole thing isn't well defined and is under used, and is also the biggest plot hole IMO.
