Gu Nian was only too anxious to protect her "son". After struggling between "Don't move" and "Let go of him" for 0.1 second, she finally shouted out –

"Don't let go of him!

"Or I am going to call the cops!!"

allows a picture of him and the FL to be taken where the FL's face is covered and they were heading out a very expensive neighborhood (where they live but the ML is not known to be rich) and is rumored to be a kept man. So the FL decidedly reveals their relationship to save the ML's reputation

what the hell is the MC like its been said that she's not someone who has a deep background and she's currently an amateur screen writer without really an official work but then she started acting like a big boss behind the scene with an artificial power/authority threatening somehow (but I interpret it like that) the director tho yeah there's a problem with the crew but like she started saying you cant bully blablabla the ML like she's a hidden boss while in reality she's a screenwriter and an amateur at that. And don't get me with the lies after lies and misunderstanding that doesn't seem to stop yet. Seriously... She should atleast have the power to save herself first before trying to save the ML to make it worthwhile. Its like she's asking for a beating sighhhh

The reason she starts liking Luo Xiu is because he saved her from commiting su*cide. To her, he's like an angel whom saved her and gave her a new life. That's why she wanted all the best for Luo Xiu.

The reason he fell in love with Gu Nian is because of her actions. Such as supporting him and caring for him all the time. I really appreciate him for trying to be honest with MC in the end.

The main couple really reminds me of the main characters from another chinese novel named 'I Am Not Fit to Be the Male Lead’s First Love'. The MC here (Gu Nian) reminds me of the MC in that story (Chu Yin) with how consistent their personalities are. Although they are different on how they treat their own MLs, they have something in common which is that they're both really strong minded female protagonists and that's really something in chinese novels. This is just a personal opinion but I've read a lot of novels and those chinese ones that I've read usually have a pattern in their female protagonists, they're usually introduced as really strong minded and smart but would somehow end up dumb or s*upid in front of the ML and would 'unconsciously' slip up things and that'll be their charm or smthng. Not that I hate those characters but it gets annoying when it always happens so these types of female protagonists really intrigues me.

That said, even the ML here (Luo Xiu) are almost the same with the ML from that novel (Lu Zhen). One thing that didn't change is the fact that they're both the powerful type of ML, though in Luo Xiu's case, he's hiding his identity so currently the public doesn't know who he is other than some low actor that doesn't even act well, just a pretty face. What I do like about the both of them is that they didn't fall in love at first sight at MC. (Though for those who've read the other novel I've said then we know it's different in his case it's not that he didn't fall in love at first sight it was rather MC didn't let him so kinda different in that case but anyways lol). In Luo Xiu's situation, he didn't immediately liked her at first interaction, rather, he was weirded out by her indifference to others yet she was super nice to him so he suspected that she must be like the others, just wearing a mask to use him or smthng.

There is a lot of misunderstanding here and believe me when I say a lot because it is A LOT. Though I find it funny here since MCs intention is really pure and solely just to take care of ML which she sees as her 'son' but in MLs perspective at the very beginning is that she must be pretending and hiding her true intentions of bedding him LMAO. In other stories these kind of misunderstandings would have been so stressful but in this one it's more on funny with MCs character LMAO. It's because she's really nonchalant about other stuff, doesn't care about how others see her, would save her friends if needed, wouldn't care if others talk sh*t about her but would talk sh*t back if others were talking about her friends, aND would also wreck sh*t if others are bad mouthing her 'son' aka ML xD HAHAHA.

So in short, what I really like is Gu Nian's personality. I really love how she doesn't let any irrelevant rumors affect her yet when it comes to her people she'd do whatever she can to save them. And ALSO, her clever character is really portrayed well. I really like how attentive, clever, and calculative she is it really suits her character as a screenwriter with how open minded she is which I say not many 'author' characters have in most novels.

And lastly, with how guarded Luo Xiu is at the beginning, thinking that Gu Nian must be pretending and is just laying a trap for him for her own advantages, him being bored so he decided to 'play along' with her just to see what she'll do, but would end up finding out a lot of things about her like how she's actually his loyal fan all along and that his first impression of her was all his own misunderstanding and that she genuinely cares for him, to him now being stressed since she really treats him as her son xD. He really was like, 'this woman has bad intentions she keeps on seducing me' to 'why is this woman not seducing me' LMAO THEY'RE SO FUNNY.
