Absolutely fun read!

Those who like Josei+Showbiz+Strong FL+fluffy love cannot miss this one. This novel would be a great fit adapting to drama.

FL is a big fan of ML (kind of Chinese idol bar account owner who wholeheartedly dedicate time, money and everything for idol). She is a well-raised girl from well-off family, suddenly had an accident then transmigrated to scandalous actress whose life mode setting is extremely hard. Then she trying to solve everything and striving for a better life as her identity could do. It makes me tear up... more>> a bit when she said sorry to the actress after knowing all obstacles she need to face in life. FL is strong and cheerful. ML is nice, proving by his action against the original body owner even tho the world was turning against her. He deserved all the love he got.
100% recommended this (I prefer this more than just blame me for being blind at the bgn) <<less

I really liked this since this was the type of novel I've been wanting to read for quite some time: interesting, a bit cliched, and fun leads. I almost deducted a star though since I felt a bit uncomfortable (just a tiny bit) with the dynamics between the main leads. I'll explain later why.

The FL is Qiao Wei, a huge wife fan of ML and is a 'bai fumei' (rich young lady). She had a loving family, good education, and excellent fan skills. Due to an accident, she enters the... more>> body and assumes the identity of Sheng Qiao, a beautiful yet despised female star who she hated because of her touching porcelain with the ML. I really like how the novel pushed the FL into truly living Sheng Qiao's life by

erasing her entire existence as Qiao Wei after she became Sheng Qiao.

The FL is smart, decisive, and hardworking and only acts coquettish and vulnerable to ML. Unlike other FLs, she isn't Mary Sue so she had to make an extra effort to gain the skills needed to become a star, especially in acting. I really like FL since she has all the qualities of a friend that you would like (that's why she had quite a bunch of second male leads that respected her decision on loving ML). She is a bit cringy when it comes to interacting with ML though. The second-hand embarrassment always gets me every time.

ML is a popular idol who mainly sings and sometimes acts. He may be the most popular star there is, but unlike the MLs in other novels, he isn't that distinguished and respected for his acting skills in the industry (later on, he does). He is handsome, gentle, and upright and even allowed OGSheng Qiao to use him to create hype (he's just really nice). That is, of course, until he falls for FL early on in the novel and you could somewhat see that he really is black-bellied and a bit possessive. He's still a great ML all in all since he always respected FL's decisions and was really doting to her in an un-cringy way. The only reason why I felt a bit of discomfort was that I felt like their relationship was extremely biased towards the ML and the power balance is a bit off. It made ML seem like a hunter waiting for his prey to be fully cooked before gobbling it up (though I do think that that was the case). Thankfully, when they got together, it became more balanced and equal with ML finally showing us how much he loves FL.

Their friends were adorable and I love the plot of the variety shows and movies that the leads participated in. I also liked how FL's new mom got her second chance in marriage and they were very cute. The villains were annoying and luckily, they only showed up around twice in the novel.

P.s. The son was so cute!!!! Finally, a side story with the leads' child/ren!!!! <<less

This is personal preference but I'm just not down for a fanatic being in a relationship with their idol, there's a power imbalance at play. It's probably also because I don't like excessive fans, especially not if they worship their idols like gods. I also don't think these types of relationships are healthy because usually what the fans fall for is the public identity that the idol purposefully puts out, but idols aren't the same in private and public. I've seen idol-fan relationships fail. I also think the FL is... more>> quite annoying, but that's subjective.

Additionally, it rubbed me the wrong way when the FL looked down on and disliked the original FL for not being loved and not loving the ML back, like that's the way it should have been. Your idol is not a god that should be loved by everyone, your idol can be in the wrong too. Stop assuming it's the spouse's fault the relationship is sour, start thinking about how your idol can also contribute to the relationship. A fan's thinking is biased and sometimes even warped.

It's not my cup of tea but it may be yours since this is very personal to my preference. Give it a try to see if you enjoy it. <<less

For those who are hesitant to read this because its fan x idol troupe, here are some points WHY you should give it a try:

    • FL is a fan who knows her boundaries. She maintained a right space between them; she was satisfied to be a -sort of a lucky- fan (since they can see each other for time to time). She support him in every way possible. She's a definition of a true fan.
    • She did not rely on ML. She is a strong woman though there are times that you'll want to give her a hug.
    • For me, FL is not annoying or mary sue type. She does not have golden fingers or system to give her instant skills. She learned how to be an actress herself.
    • Story did not focus on love story. It's more on how the FL progress from having nothing to having something (like her career, a house, her fan base).
    • FL interaction with her fans, friends and families is so adorable
    • FL anecdote on all the variety shows ILL PAY JUST TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THE VARIETY SHOWS
    • FL is the queen of CP (since she has the chemistry with everyone she works) but she doesnt want any CP, even with ML lol.

ML secretly joined a CP group that is dedicated to him and FL but it only consist of one member and him lololol

    • Bec I love FL so much, I sometimes forget the existence of ML so... for me, ML is ofc sometimes black belly, a very doting boyfriend and a perfect idol to FL!!! FL is like his little sunshine. FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF
    • MOST IMPORTANTLY, THERE'S A LIFE LESSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not done yet but I really love MC. She's very charming and a strong female lead. The circumstances of her reincarnation and her past are not easy ones and I really felt sad for her.

I'm not gonna lie, I did not think I would enjoy a story about a fan but it's more than that and I can't help but root for MC. How come she is so adorable?

I MTLed the whole thing and I love it to death. GIVE IT A TRY

???? So I read some reviews and I feel I read a different story to them??? MC dislikes Orig!FL not because she didn't like the same idol but because she always clung to this idol in a shameless manner to stir up attention and spread false rumors. Someone is taking advantage of and CONSTANTLY stirring up false rumors that negatively affect your idol; of course the impression would be bad! I also agree that celebrities should... more>> have their own space and it shouldn't be expected that everyone in the world loves the same people; these facts are also iterated in the story!!! This reviewer also has a wrong idea about their relationship, which is understandable since it seems they haven't read past CH10 of the story. THIS STORY IS VERY VERY SWEET. It seems as if there will be a power dynamic problem in the relationship, but this ML is NOT AT ALL like all those overbearing CEO novels. Their romance (which is official in a LONG time, after it is clearly separated from the fan relationship and based on genuine love) is of both parties offering up their heart & soul to the other.

Anyway, I do agree with the reviewer's general ideas regarding a person's freedom and privacy. However, their impression of what is happening in the story isn't correct (or changes for the positive later on). Note that this isn't a matter of a difference in opinion; I would also hate the story described by the other reviewer, but this story is NOT like that. I'm trying not to be rude, and I appreciate the tone of their review, but I really don't want anyone to get a false impression of this story and end up missing out on this gem! I encourage them and everyone else to give this story a try!!! It's intoxicatingly sweet and an impressive demonstration of a healthy relationship.

Plot is very interesting, it's entertainment circle but rather than face-slapping and drama the focus is more on building friendships and improving oneself. Although there is some faceslapping and drama too haha. Although ML is quite successful already, there's still a lot of room to grow in his career, and it never feels like he's OP and is pulling her up. MC RELIES ON HERSELF! At the beginning that might be the impression, but after the first incident the rest is genuinely her independent hard work. It's also pretty funny!!! And I love the characters, from our lovely mains to the side characters too. It also has some familial relationships! <<less

The writing is witty but the gap from the character set-up is REAL.

According to the synopsis and the reviews; MC is witty and reliable. A female fighter, not a doormat. Smart.

I love such characters. But that was just misleading.

Right from the first 4 chapters she. Was. Nothing. But. IMPULSIVE.

—She rushed right into her (Qiao Qiao's) house. In. As in inside so of course gurl you're a trespasser. Even if you excuse yourself as a friend. That was so stoopid.

—She's originally a fan and the original Shen Qiao and ML doesnt have any kind of relationship besides using and being used for hype so idk where she had the cheek to act towards ML like that????????? And ML allowed her too??? OOC much.

—Without completely understanding her (Shen Qiao's) current situation, she d+ng PROVOKED her tr*sh manager right f^ck-ng away.

So yeah, with all those happening right at the first 4 chapters I don't see the smarts. Her little action in ch5 kinda made me change my opinion but then seriously whats with her acting wilful with people she's supposed to be strangers with. Thats so weird.

Anyway these are all my own opinion. Shes not my cup of tea. <<less

NOTE: while potato's site seems down, if you google you can find a complete unedited MTL. No need for g-translate. This is very cute, with a believable relationship about the evolution of love from between audience and a star to simply a man and a woman.

I cried quite a few times because I could feel the FL's distress at having everything she knew ripped away. I think a large part of her early dependency on the ML comes from the fact her identity as a fan was the only thing she didn't lose. Part of her resistance to admitting it's become love is the fact she would have to step away from that identity and evolve into something different changing the relationship between them. When you've thought one way for years, suddenly changing your mind would be difficult. Thus, I can't fault how long it takes for them to establish their relationship despite how clear his interest is early on.

They're sweet and supportive of each other. It's not always her bearing the weight of caretaker, he reciprocates. When she's in trouble, like any normal partner he will come.

Fan base interactions are a big thing throughout this novel. They paint our FL as a bit of a mary sue but when you step away from the online interactions she is very much 3D. The author spends quite a bit of time towards justifying the FL's mindset throughout.

Her previous existence being completely erased is never truly resolved (such as what happened to her online identity, all those photos she sold to her idol etc) except that it is just wiped clean. There's a moment in a Buddhist temple where she's told she can never go back which changes her mindset from looking for a way to return to finding a way to stay and pave a future for herself. Unfortunately, she never gets to fulfill her dream to be an architect to assist her father, choosing to stay in the entertainment world. On the upside, she's able to form a relationship with her former family rather than be treated like a crazy person (which would have been justified lol).

The only character that annoyed me was Shen Junyi, who kept calling her brother. Talk about loud, annoying, and clingy without regard for how his actions affect others (or more specifically how his actions would affect the FL). He sticks to her despite her being quite obvious in the fact she does not like his behavior. A side story is dedicated to him in the end, but I skimmed it because even though I like the girl he becomes a CP with he's just so insufferable. Legit wanted to punt him into the horizon like Team Rocket every time he appears.

There's slow romance, a supportive trusting relationship, marriage, and a baby in the extras. Well worth the binge. Overall, the focus here isn't what was lost but instead about growth and strength even when you are.

Probably the best Entertainment Industry novel I've read in a long time.

The characters, even if passers-by, are well built and give the reader a fluid and not abrupt feeling.

It is pretty obvious that the author herself is probably an idol fan, and her writing carries not only a special fondness from this point of view but also a detailing level that deepens the readers' connection to the story and makes us more empathic to it.

Our MC has a slow and continuous acceptance of her transmigration, emphasized through small emotional moments,... more>> and her transition from fan to know with the ML Huo Xi is well executed and natural (the reciprocal is also true, a great slow burn by his side with the little POVs between chapters).

Furthermore, it is one of the rare cases of transmigration that remains in the same world and on the same timeline. The conflict that our protagonist has in living close to her own family that no longer recognizes her and the affection she develops for OG's mother is touching.

It's a slow burn story worth of becoming one of the classics of its genre, thanks for the translation TL-sama (and give it a try if this review interested you) ! <<less

It is actually really good, I enjoyed the story. The FL doesnt depend on the ML and she is witty and brave. The other characters are likeable too. The only thing not good is the translation. It's kinda confusing and hard to read at some parts but overall this is a really good novel.

While mtl is readable, I think some of the essence of the story got lost in machine translations. I think the mtl for this one fails to evoke emotions. I might read this again when it's fully translated.

The romance is 5/5!! It's full of fluff and they are both whipped for each other. This is a showbiz story, but none of the two are very powerful to the point of controlling the showbiz industry. They're popular, but not that powerful. It makes for a good Slice of Life romance.

I had... more>> to deduct a star because the filler arcs are boring. Specifically, the horror variety show arcs (yes, there are 2 seasons for that show) are not worth reading. I either skipped those or skimmed through quickly. <<less

This is a good novel. The beginning might be a little overwhelming. However, the FL starts to understand the person she transmigrated to and it slowly starts warping the novel into something amazing. It’s not heavy to the point where the FL suddenly gets this halo and things go her way. It’s a step by step push and pull type of dynamic. I personally think the synopsis does not do the novel justly. If you get to the Nth-teen chapters, you’ll definitely get hooked. Plus I love her relationship with... more>> her friends, it’s so cute. <<less

Really rough machine translation; however, despite that the protagonist so far has still retained a fairly genuine charm. It's still really early in the story, but I can't help but root for main characters like this who are working hard to fix their problems.

Looking forward to more; and maybe for a non-machine TL.

Trust me, this is really A GOOD STORY!

As long as i've read both MC and ML are not OP. It's made me feel that the character is realistic.

And the moral of this story was really good, it's tell you to not judge and bully someone just because what you saw and listened without searching the true reason of that person act

Do you understand what I mean? Uh just read it, n you will understand ?

MTL-ed and have no regrets. Super sweet, just right if you want to read a nice story without too much drama.

It started funny and ended well, and the story was really very FL-centric. We don't see too much of ML and his point of view even though I think we should have been given more of him, considering the story premise.

There's also the extremely short background for ML that was played out like an afterthought, and I was surprised it was even included.

There's also some loose ends, like

there's really no explanation on the loss of her past life. It's a major plot point and a driving force of character relationships (like with her old family), so it's surprising and feels a little incomplete not having ANY explanation at all on that end.

Nevertheless, it was a very sweet novel and I couldn't put it down. I actually wanted more and it felt like it could go on for a few more chapters, but since it ended on a good note, it doesn't feel rushed. All in all a good read.

It's a fluffy story, conflicts is almost nonexistent and solved right away, FL kinda Mary Sue-ish, ML is perfect idol and boyfriend.

What makes me torn is, IMO, this story is a example of 'ML love FL just because she is the FL'. There are no explanation why Huo Xi likes Qiao Qiao, it just happen. I was hoping that Qiao Qiao fallen for others character because how she interacted with others males character do really describe why they started liking her.

Another thing that makes me like the story is how... more>> it gives a glimpse of fan culture through the lens of FL character...... about the spending, CP, fan blog, attitude toward one's idol's rival, etc. Extreme. But take a peek at Weibo, it close to the truth. <<less

I was a bit torn trying to rate this novel.

To be completely honest, I totally enjoyed the back story of the original body and how the MC took a lot of time adjusting to her new life. My heart hurt with her backstory, especially when she had to make crucial decisions for the original body. 90% of the MCs in transmigration novels settle in quite nicely to their new lives. But this MC really held on to her old life which is pretty realistic.

However, the leads barely struggled aside from... more>> that. Every career move was perfect. The romance was idealistic. After the part where she mostly helped the original body’s grievances, I got a bit bored with the story. <<less

Not a complete 3 star for me, just slightly above 2, 5 star.

The synopsis promises story about a fanatic fan of ML who transmigrated into her most hated enemy: a no-skill actress who likes to ride on ML's popularity. From the synopsis, I was expecting to see a dynamics of fan-idol between FL and ML under the exterior of co-worker celebrities, and how their relationship crosses the boundary and develops into something more.

If you think the same as I did, don't get your hopes up. The actual story is more... more>> about FL, who's at bottom of entertainment pyramid, gradually paving her way up to the top through her work and another work and another work. The romance is not really the center of this story. ML doesn't have his perspective narrated and often gets sidelined.

What I like:

    • FL is not shameless, either as fan or transmigrated woman who has no backing. She never clings onto ML's thigh, and in fact, tries to maintain proper distance even when everyone around them can tell that ML is showing interest in her. This makes her character eandering.
    • There's no annoying system that forces FL and ML to get together. Their relationship is genuine.
    • Because there's no system, FL doesn't get instant skill. She works hard to achieve what she achieves.
    • ML is not tr*sh who changes attitude when FL changes personality. He's gentle for the start. Even with original body owner, he never minds her using him to create hype.
    • There is villain, but no b*tchy love rival.
What I dislike:

    • Misleading premise as explained above.
    • There is no particularly memorable scene or dialogue. No line is deep or thoughful enough to be quoted. No event gives you emotional punch. Nothing stands out from the rest of novels under same categories.
    • The story is never precise on how and why FL and ML start to see each other as opposite s*x. Their relationship also doesn't have any trial and turbulance. Hence when they get together, it just feels like a matter of course and doesn't give me a rewarding feeling.
    • It never digs deeper into the potential (and hinted) subplots, for example the relationship between FL and her original family. FL often cries at her family presences, and it is sad to see her can't do anything about it, but that's all. This setting never escalates into more challenging conflict. Same with original body owner's past relationship. This conflict is hinted, introduced, then dies down without reaching any peak.
    • At certain point, I began to wonder what the importance of transmigration trope? You can take the trope out and the major plot still proceeds just fine.
    • There are many supporting characters that don't add flavor to the plot.
    • This story often uses netizen responses to pinpoint the development of the story. This method of storytelling is actually quite common and acceptable, but annoying if almost every chapter has it. As if readers can't understand unless it's spelt word by word.
Overall, this is light hearted story and good to pass time. I personally won't read it again. Just once is enough (except if I somehow forget that I have read this). <<less

I personally never became an avid fan or stan of someone so the novel really gave me a new perspective to people who call themselves fans. It’s a very nice story about a girl who was suddenly thrown into a new life and she strives to survive. MC is a hard worker, bubbly and focused.

To the commenter (with a fitting name) who gave 1 star after reading 5 chapters,

As you go through the novel, you’d find that that most of the events have explanation or is a prelude to a future event. Plus, how is checking her house an impulsive action of someone who got “body swapped”? Or challenging the manager when she knows it’s the manager is on the wrong?

It’s a short, nice read with most of the conflict stacked at the start of the novel.

Only missing part is the why she body swapped, guess we’ll never know. But other than that, not much loose end
