“Let’s get a divorce.”

The child was gone, and we were back to square one.

No matter how much I loved Woo Jin-ha, I didn’t have to do anything s*upid anymore.

on chap 20 and I love every chap! The angst is real with this one!! Need more! Please do not drop! This is actually a really good one!

MC has been in love with ML for 4 years. So far, ML treats MC like a normal person but doesn't love her (at least that's how we understand it, it's her POV anyway). ML got drunk one night - they slept together and ta-da! She got pregnant. ML is then forced to marry her. Unfortunately an accident happened and she lost the... more>> unborn child. The novel starts here, which oh-mah-gah is sad.

plot sounds like a typical one but it's her POV that is good and will tear your heart apart!!!!

-i have the rest of the novel translated, starting from where the translator left off. DM me if ya want. I am too lazy to post it in a site and link it here. Too many steps. <<less

Well, I wont get that time back. This is pretty dark really, and the (weak) MC is cornered with a husband that cares more about having his needs met than anything else.

Spoiler

Them having s*x after she only recently had a miscarriage, without him even asking is she was okay, just no. I can't carry on reading.

There’s some good drama here, it leans heavily into a well-worn trope: the emotionally unavailable husband and the self-effacing wife locked in a loveless marriage. It’s a setup I’ve seen many times before: the cold, distant male lead and a heroine convinced she’s never been enough, quietly internalizing the neglect and mistaking it for her own inadequacy.

The breaking point comes after she has a miscarriage. Convinced her husband never cared and unable to bear the loneliness anymore, she decides she wants a divorce. Much of the story revolves around that... more>> decision and his refusal to let her go.

As the story unfolds, you do start to see that the male lead does care, just in his own limited way. I kept thinking: they just needed one honest, heartfelt conversation. They’re both emotionally stunted in different ways, ML has a very low enotional intelligence, and FMC is the silent type, drowning in self-pity, convinced she doesn’t deserve love, all while quietly resenting her own misery. It's frustrating, but in a way that feels intentional.

One thing that really didn’t sit right with me was the way the miscarriage was handled. It’s implied she was quite far along maybe close to the month of her due date?—and after losing the baby, she undergoes a surgical procedure to remove what was left in her uterus. Speaking from personal experience, the aftermath of such a loss is brutal. I remember being hospitalized for a week, and it took a month before I felt like myself again. But here, the female lead walks out of the hospital the same day, confronts her husband, packs her things, and by the next day, they’re sharing an intimate bathtub scene. Unless I completely misunderstood the timeline, the pacing felt not only unrealistic but emotionally tone-deaf. That moment should have carried far more weight.

Still, it’s an okay read. The male lead isn’t a s*umbag, just deeply flawed. There were moments I actually felt sorry for him. Most of the time, I was just rooting for them to talk things out already but of course, the drama has to simmer a bit longer.

For readers new to this trope, the story might hit harder. There’s a familiar, addictive rhythm to these quiet heartbreaks and long-overdue emotional reckonings. But for someone who’s read dozens (or hundreds) of similar stories, this one felt a little too safe, predictable, and not quite emotionally layered enough to leave a lasting impression.

That said, the translation is solid, and it’s still a good read overall especially if you're in the mood for something a bit angsty. <<less

Omg I want more!

The story is so deep. So far we have only heard the MC side. ML seems cold and dejected but really want to know how he felt towards MC.

For now I want MC to leave and start new on her own and find her footing. Let MC suffer a bit.

The angst is real 🥲🥲... take tissues with you while reading it. So far, I don’t like the ML at all. I just want MC to ran far away from him but the she is too weak and quite helpless in-front of him. I hope she will be able to teach him a lesson soon. I want the ML’s point of view as well to not hate him too much 😅.
