Only 7 chapters in so I'm not leaving a rating yet, just a review to help people interested. The existence of Gates and monsters are hidden from the public, but people like the MC are recruited as potential Hunters. After retiring in order to live the rest of his peacefully, monsters start appearing in the real world.

This novel takes on a more realistic approach to Hunter/Gate stuff. MC has previous experience being a hunter but his stats and abilities are reset. He may have to start over from the beginning... more>> but his knowledge will help him get more op this time for sure. Story jumps right into the monster invasion and brutal fighting-for-your-life stuff. <<less

I love it so far though I do see this dropping down to a 4star in the future. It reminds me of stories like Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. An Apocalypse setting with a mostly all knowing MC till sh!t hits the fan. This novel though takes a more serious approach. MC used to be a Powerhouse shrouded in mystery that the readers slowly learn of his past. He must however work from the bottom again as the strength in the Abyss doesn't transfer to Earth, and now the Abysd has invaded... more>> Earth leaving him with 0 of his former strength.

Too bad the translator already dropped it seems. I continued reading c9-25 on original site with auto translate but rest are behind paywall. <<less
