“Then why don’t I marry you!” Yu Dong suddenly proposed.

“You…” Xia Feng thought he had misheard.

“You see, you’re looking for someone to marry to ease your mother’s heart, and I also want to get married. We’re right in front of the doors to the Civil Affairs Bureau, and with all our papers too!” Yu Dong exclaimed while holding up her red household book.

“And the most important thing is that we just broke up with our exes. This is fate, ah!”

Right up until they left the Civil Affairs Bureau again, holding a newly registered red book, Xia Feng remained dazed still wondering, how did he end up getting married?

Did he just pick up a wife at the doors to the Civil Affairs Bureau?

What Xia Feng doesn’t know is that Yu Dong traveled back in time from 10 years in the future.

Now, having a second chance in life and able to secure a good husband, Yu Dong will live her life at full throttle and without regrets.

Simplistic and yet to have complicated plot twists, I imagine that they will never get divorce and go through challenges together as a team.

Honestly, if you're in for the love story, this might be a so-so..?

What made this story a gem are the side characters and her listeners (she's initially a radio DJ).

... more>> This is the love story of both adults, REAL ADULTS, so it's straightforward. Both showed patience, maturity and steadiness. In fact, it's too steady that it bordered boring. But hey, adults already have too much in their plates okay, in life, in career etc so a little steady in love is perfect.

The little side stories are seriously what kept me reading, I hoped there's more! But I'm glad the author didn't prolong it too much either. <<less

Um... what to say? I don't really read many romance novels, at least not ones where the romance is the main focus or there isn't some twist to the story. I clicked chapter one, just to see what it was about real quick since the synopsis sounded interesting and my pizza rolls were in the oven. I fully intended to back out after quickly becoming disinterested, but... well, I just finished the whole thing in one sitting and it's 10 hours later.

I need y'all to understand, I'm one picky customer,... more>> and I WILL judge plot and characters harshly. Half the time, I end up hating or being bored by the leads, and the other 40% of the time I'll only feel like they're mildly entertaining. For the remaining 10%, I will genuinely love the characters, but when there's two leads, one's usually loved more than the other.

That said, I loved both Yu Dong and Xia Feng, and their budding relationship. They were fun to watch, and felt rather real to me. There wasn't any black bellied CEO pampering type of thing going on, nor was the male lead dominating and possessive, the type of ML I hate the most. At times, Xia Feng felt more like the heroine than his wife, but I quite liked how he was a sensible man (opening chapter already spoiled in the synopsis notwithstanding). Yu Dong was just the right amount of zany to compliment him, and I never got bored of her antics. The best friends were awesome, too. Actually, all of the side characters were

except XinXin's mother and wannabe husband. I really don't understand Chinese relationships, but I wanted Yu Dong to beat them both up so bad. At least have XinXin slap her mother. Lady was trying to marry her off to a complete scumbag, and drove her own daughter into a corner. Are you serious?

Anyway, I really loved this story, so I imagine people who actually like romance novels will be particularly fond of this one. Some say it's all too short, but it's about the size of three good-sized novels, and any more would likely just feel redundant and stretched out, so I'm quite happy with it not overstaying it's welcome and ending on a high note. I especially liked the bonus chapters

where, through the eyes of the child they have together, we see how things go for our leading couple. The very last bonus chapter, where XinXin once again meets the homeless man who saved her during her pregnancy and it turns out he was actually an alien threw me off. It felt like it came completely out of left field, since aliens weren't a part of the story at all until this final bonus chapter, but then I remembered that the whole plot revolved around Yu Dong time travelling for no apparent reason.

Now that I'm thinking of it, in that last chapter, it's revealed that the alien was there to study emotions in order to save his race, but he was unable to comprehend except for XinXin's involvement with him. In the previous timeline, however, XinXin committed suicide after being forced to marry the scumbag, so he would likely not have ever discovered emotions if not for Yu Dong's unintentional time travel and interference. It makes me wonder if the time travelling was caused by aliens in some way. That's a stretch, but it'd be cool if I'm right.

Wonderful storyline and reasonably MC not overbearing. Their love story growing nicely and beautiful. Even side characters also mix well and make the whole story look heartwarming.

Storyline flows slow and steady make you excited and totally not boring. MC and ML interaction is sweet until you tooth pain. 😁😁😁

Pure sweetness with little drama - a palate cleanser for the soul after all the melodrama and revenge stories that seem to dominate the genre.

Also, the quality of the translation is very good.

5/5, would read again.

Definitely, need to give a big applause to the author.

From how the story was written and the characters personalities are really to my taste. Although there was not much drama unfolded, the interaction between FL dan ML made me melt. One part made me sad and next part me laugh. No needlessly face slapping, just heartwarming story but still retain its realistic feel.

This is really cute and heart-warming! I ABSOLUTELY adore the MC, she is so shameless, shy, wise, but also dense. Truly full of contradictions but incredibly charming; fell in love with her within the first three chapters. I also love the ML who is this thin-faced cutie who is incredibly tolerant and doting; the ideal hubby!

The plot is very smooth and fun, there is a lot of drama within all sides; ... more>>

including the drama from the ex's, marriage and age (like still not being married in your 30's, really enjoyed this aspect of the series), the friend's pregnacy/home ordeal, and so on.

Really enjoyed the series, ended up reading it in one sitting since I really couldn't get enough of the dog-food that literally made up half the series. <<less

Worth to read!

Not your usual rebirth story. At first I don't like the MC character... Nut at the end I accepted her character. You'll find character development. If you want to find face slapping, my suggestion is dont read this because you won't find any.

I dont think I find climax (conflict) in this story. But I love how the author portrayed the characters...

The give me the most impact in this novel is the moral teachings. Those moral teaching are decorated with dogfood and comedic situation of couples or future couples. Yes it is a little cliche in some romance part, but not in most comedic or moral supports moment

It might not gave a sense of realism, but it give many advise that would happen on reality, ... more>>

except on dogfood of how men should buy whole bunch of things from another country and send it every single day, etc

. The way this novel gave moral teaching or way to keep relationship everlasting is realtively general but instead of feeling boredom, I i felt like it should appear more. Instead of cliche it gave me general memorable emotion with switch where you might filled with laughter in current chapter and nostalgic in the next.

Thought this novel ending felt like it could be made into more than one hundred chapters, but it kinda make me feel down just seeing it only last for 61 chapter with few last chapter as extras on other characters development (thought not satisfying either, what I meant is it really really feels like it could support another thirty chapters at least even more if there are not so much time skips).

For me this novel lighten my soul yet also gave my soul sense of hunger (don't wonder your mind around, I just want more chapter 😂). I havent sense this feeling other than "still, wait for me", well the only thing I felt missing is the situation where it supposed to be sad, it could be sad, but somehow it would become lively again in the next paragraph, more of a lively novel. If you don't like novel with depressing or some massive, impactful, heartbreaking moment, this is a really good novel to read. This is my first comment in novelupdate, just want to share my opinion of this treasure <° (>▽<) ノ <<less

This is the only contemporary romance novel I read until the end without losing patience or feeling irritated with any of the characters. Both female and male lead have lovable characters. So refreshing.

I recommend this to all who are looking for a light novel (no intense drama and murder) but with story and characters that have more substance than the rest.

Had enough of angst and melodrama? Well, you're in the right book! This one is filled with fluff for every chapter, contains humor, sound life advice, and lighthearted romance. There's barely any angst at all. Besides, I really like the personality of the protagonist, Yu Dong. It's very refreshing how she is very confident (cough, thick-faced, cough), tough and blunt. She's a very amusing character to read. Meanwhile, our male lead is a smart, kind, and awkward surgeon. The two of them together makes a perfect match! ≪3

Yaassss this deserves to be one of the top novels for CN FL Romance. None of the usual cookie cutter stories with the outrageously op FL with equally outrageous skills and network (*cough* im talking bout you Full Marks and other similar stories). Also doesn’t have the unrealistic ML. Hmmmm well at least this ML could be said to be more realistic compared to the usual ones. Side characters are also used 100%. Not just mentioned once and used to further plot. Best of all, it’s not dragged out at... more>> all. I actually feel like the author could have made the story longer but either way, it ended on a good note. <<less
