It's fine, I guess. Similar to Ambiguous Relationship in the way the leads act, and Hello, Wife! In that it's not overly dramatic (between the main couple, so far, at least) and there's nothing objectively "bad" about the pairing.

It's at the same time slightly too slowed paced, but also highly dramatic. The main leads' home life seems to progress slowly, while the love triangle/first love/friend situation is melodramatic. I'm so grateful I've seen the drama before reading the novel, because I'm the type to get bored when I know that the drama and novel are really different.

I like MC and ML more in the novel. They seems more real. Gu Weiyi has fallen in love, experience hardships, and not so innocent. I was good story but I couldn't stand FL when she start working for her ex boyfriend, who even attempt to r*pe her..I like ML.. This is a 3.5 🌟 for me.

Their love story isn't particularly touching nor were they fluffy for my standards. They're the type of couple who's love language is to bicker. Part of it is because they're both comfortable with each other and another one is that they didn't have a good impression of each other. It was cute and with a touch of real life relationship feel. I'm not saying that their relationship is realistic but I could say that most of it is. As for the characters, I like the decisiveness of FL when it comes to relationships. When she decides her bottom line she will not think twice and cut it off. I don't think she's merciless but more of the fact that she knows what she deserves and won't accept crap for it. It's just that I'm disatisfied with how she lacks a bit of sweet bone in her. I feel sorry for ML whenever she fails to communicate her true feelings and emotions. There were a lot of quarrels that could've been resolved if they just sit down and talk properly. This is not entirely the FL's responsibility. The ML also played a part on it. In short they're both temperamental that it's not even cute. <<less

I felt this was an okay read. Slightly confused by the translation since I thought there are some chapters that were summarized. Some scenes were overly dramatic. There's a lot of bickering between the main couple. Some of those bickering came out of nowhere made my headache. But it was also funny, gave me a few laughs. While reading this, I can't help but want to watch the drama adaptation. Might edit this reveiw after I watched the tv series.

I got so bored that I dropped this two years ago and only picked it up now as I suddenly had the urge to see how it end and it didn't disappointed me.

I genuinely thought that half of the novel would be about MC complicated feelings of "I love u now but I used to love him" and the likes but nope, this novel presented as a new mature way of looking at it and showed us an MC who does not want to be like those cliché heroine waiting for the playboy to be serious.

My only other problem with this is that for a story that tries to be realistic, the main couple got married in less than a year of being together and it was even rush and out of fluctuating emotions.

Anyway, it's a good read. I love their romance, no melodramatic scenes, everything happened so normal that it became a bit boring. <<less

I came to read this after watching the drama. I have to say that the FL ' s character is very toned down in the drama. I really liked the drama so my expectations were high. But I was disappointed. FL is too immature and most of the times pretty annoying. I don't know how I finished reading this. Her tempor tantrums angered me so much. Very very good, this story been in my library since like loooong time ago and I can say that im very glad that I decided to read it now. 😂😂😂 The story is light, full with comedy, not deep either. The relationship between FL and ML is not shotgun. It takes time but it's kinda silly.

No protagonist whatsoever, they have fun live if I can say.
