Interesting take on transmigration in the end, but I found it a little slow to get going and the ending felt a little rushed. While it was overall enjoyable, it took me a bit longer than usual to get through because it just didn't grab me as much as other novels I've read. I really liked the MC, but found most of the other characters either flat, promising but not well-developed, or annoying.

Things I liked:

-Good characterization. The characters actions make me feel a certain way, but they have the bit of a problem of not really rewarding you by having interesting interactions.

-It had a plot, the setting was dynamic, although I didn't get to care much for it.

-Wooden characters: it was hard for me to point out what bothered me about this novel, and it's the fact that I can't root for the characters, there is no character development to speak of, and the romance doesn't come after unraveling any personal issues: Jiang Xunyi is perfect and that's why Yun Xie loves him and since Jiang Xunyi is willing to tolerate him, they get together. They don't change, they don't learn the errors of their ways, they end exactly the way they started.

-I didn't find their interactions cute since there's no real escalation of romance. Maybe if the author had bothered to pace it better and overall gave it a good, at least coherent structure it could've worked in places. They have the exact time of interaction where JYX seems disinterested and YX is bothered he doesn't care, or get he's into him.

-I was kinda bored by the story since I couldn't get invested in the characters: why would I care if they solve the plot when I see absolutely no reward in doing that? Characterization won't change, they've been backslapping the whole novel people I don't care about.

-The character dynamic doesn't change. It's like JXY feels nothing for YX, there's no fluttering when they have intimate moments, the MC doesn't care his friend/lover's in danger;in fact, I feel like he doesn't care about him at all, that he's fulfilling a role just to get back home, that he puts up with him even though he's annoying. I care nothing about him either, and I'm pretty sure that's not the way I'm supposed to feel about a male lead!

-I don't mind dense MCs, I think it has a a great potential for comedy if handled right, but in no moment I felt frustration: why would the MC think the ML likes him that way when there's no difference in the way he treats him throughout his life (until he kills him, which comes out of nowhere since he's possessed by heart demons). Never did I think: oh, you just need to figure out the way he feels.

-The writing is all over the place. I know writing fight scenes is hard, and that as a reader I have to pay attention, but I don't understand what's happening a good chunk of the time and I'm not sure I care to. The extras were 10 and chimed in right before the ending. Why? It lacks a good description to understand where the characters are, and some back and forth with secondary characters is such a tedium since they're framed as everyone being an idiot except for the protagonists, and you know how the scene's gonna play out.

Overall: no good romantic escalation, I didn't like the characters, I couldn't feel invested in the story. I don't really like leaving bad reviews, but this one doesn't deserve a good one. <<less

It’s a good and fun read. Although some plot points may sometime be confusing, for the most part it’s really well done. The ML and MC were really lovely as couple, though sometime I do think MC attraction ML came out of nowhere.

Cold dense transmigrator ML x Crazy (in Love) protagonist MC

The confession scene took a while to come (because of one dense master) but after it THEY WERE SO SWEET! I won't say anymore to not spoil but this was a great read! Not too long as well. it leaves a melancholic taste in my mouth leaving me unable to sleep until I release my sadness in the reviews. It’s. Currently. 2. Am.

The beginning is reaaaaaaaaally slow, so if you’re looking for the lovey Dovey parts it starts at chapter 70.

The banter is great but I truly laughed in the extra about the brothel.

The author spilled all the beans at the last couple of chapters and I’m still reeling from it. Honestly, I dislike the ending. Sure, it’s a happy ending yada yada yada... And the ending wasn’t particularly out of nowhere and I did see a slight foreshadowing. It still leaves a mouthful of distaste. MC always wistfully thought of his family and then his brother had planned everything out only to return empty. Oh, and then the MC is all understanding and all forgiving, and he becomes this weird version of the Mary Sue. I guess I wish everyone had a happy ending like the cliche endings but oh well.

I must make haste to go to sleep!

Beautiful, amazing, chef's kiss!

CHARACTERS: 5/5

Main character? Fun to follow around -- badass and smart and hot. What more could you want? Love interest? So in love with MC, looks like a cinnamon roll but could (and will) kill you, and protective. Maybe cliche for some, but I personally think they were big brain and cute all at once LOL

Okay, I was a little confused until the very end why Yun Xie even killed Jiang Xunyi that one time... you know the time... But I think the explanation at the end was well executed! Maybe a little rushed but the pure enjoyment from reading balances out any questions I have about the plot xD

I was worried that it would end JXY going back to his world with his shitty parents : (but thankfully that didn't happen!! I hope him and YX can live happily as long as they are in this world together!! PLS... THEY DESERVE IT >.> So sad this had to end, I would be happy sitting around and reading extras about this world and the lovely main characters for the rest of the day!!

It was good but not reccommending to friends good. I think the events happened were too fast. And a bit frustrating because of the flow of the story, like how next chapter shows the past then present then past again. Lastly was the ending. I was unsatified by the ending because it didn't feel like a the perfect ending for them. It could have been better. Like maybe it was revealed that the ML was also a transmigrated person that's why he didn't like any of the woman around him... more>> and fell in love with the MC. And finally leaving the book and meeting in the real world where they live happily ever after lol. <<less

the only that putting this story together was the MC and the ML. Their interaction with each other were probably best in my opinion. It made them feel more life like as they joke around with each other. As they were the only thing was consistent out of the whole story. Every side character kind of just fizzled out when an arc comes to an end.

I actually like this story despite some of its flaws.

The main pair's "love" is about as comparable as Sasuke and Sakura from the anime series Naruto. They definitely have that brotherhood going on to help anchor their bond strongly to one another, and I also love their tacit understanding for one another even though it disappeared when the protagonist flirts with him openly. Lol

Some of the reviews here aren't wrong. The protagonist does get a little annoying when he treats everyone terrible, but becomes a puppy to the transmigrator. The... more>> tsundere personality of the main character does get on my nerve too, but it's nice that he treats everyone this way though, so it's not biased like the main lead.

Honestly, their dual jades is incomparable to the twin jades of another novel. While the twin jades are honorable, these two are only well known for their good looks and skills. Their attitudes combined should have definitely got the both of them more hate than admiration. I didn't like that the fake monk was ridiculing them at first, but as I read the novel. I agreed with how s*upid they both are.

Everyone, readers, cannon fodder, bystanders, the disciples, villains, and even their masters are constantly forced fed dog food. It kind of gives off that Mary-sue/Gary-stu vibe relationship when the main lead begins his flirting, but I'm not complaining since I enjoyed it. Lol

It does have a plot..... but I didn't pay too much attention to it. Lol <<less

Pros :

It's a fun read. The ML and MC have a nice chemistry w eachother. They certainly have a deep understanding of eachother. ML reminds me of a proud puppy, MC is a silly cat.

For me, this is more of a healing journey of MC and ML. Kinda reminds me of MDZS. Definitely gives off that vibe.

Cons :

Just the usual villains that have so-so back story. It's a pet peeve of mine. The later of the story is morr bland compared to the first half of the story.

in how ML kill MC then MC revive in a younger body that look exactly as him and acted the fool and missions w exterminating the ghoul, demon and ghost But w more gore and apathy toward killing people

Also similar to SCUM VILLAIN’S SELF-SAVING SYSTEM

w how MC was transmigrated w a system promising him home when he finish with plot but more cruel and subtle even if MC disagree to act (task to r*pe his shimei) everyone will still put the label rapist onto him as if unavoidable

Anyway difference in this novel is the cold, smart, tsundere protagonists w almost telephatic conversation with ML just a few glance and soft spot for ML while ML is just smitten for mc

Their interaction is so so cute and natural since MC transmigrated since childhood and MC n ML interact since then before ML slowly fell for mc

while is typical denseness and only realise guys like him when the demon lord kidnap him to tell MC he wanna top MC and that ML likes MC. Though it is understandable since MC only gotten total emotional control of himself when he changed body against og body setting written (no more affection for shimei whom label him rapist after he changed body)
