This is why novels are really subjective when it comes to ratings. I was actually hesitant on reading this because some rated it 1 star and stuff but I'm glad I saw the promo manhwa and gave it a try. This is definitely a LIGHT READ. No need to wrack your brains, has a straightforward plot and has a cute and funny MC (not selfish at all, if you read until the end). If you want to read something with intricate and elaborated plot twists then this is not for... more>> you sadly. I love how the novel flows naturally from start to end. Kudos to the translator and much more to the author. It's also short and completed so I'm happy I'm not hanging in a cliff xD. Lesson learned: Don't be deceived by the reviews. If you want to read it, GO and if you don't like the plot then just regret it later hahaha. It gave me the right emotions I want to feel and I'm contented on that. Definitely loving Lucky tho -- he's a great addition ngl.

Also, the MC is totally relatable. He probably experienced COVID pandemic lol. <<less

I see that this novel has a somewhat low rating.

I donʼt have much to say about it. Itʼs simply about personal tastes. And coincidentally, this story contains a lot of things I like: transmigration, a non-serious protagonist, a cold guy slowly softening, and tons of comedy. Yes, without a doubt what I like most about the story is the sense of humor it handles. Maybe the authorʼs sense of humor isnʼt for everyone, but itʼs definitely to my liking. So, yeah... For me, itʼs worth reading.

I don't like the MC, he is so selfish and ungrateful, He should say thank you that he's alive and he wasn't burned or killed, but he just continues to complain, they give him food but instead of saying thank you. He complains that it's not Korean food and he wants Korean food, and throws a tantrum and acts spoiled like a 4 year old.

and He seriously does not understand the dangerous situation he is in

And I will say that there is nothing funny about this story.

Just another brainless story... more>> that exists to turn off the brain.

That was interesting, I liked it.

The MC is fun, a little silly and I like his passionate side.

ML has a hard mouth at times, likes to tease, but he's actually quite kind. Well, he has that "I fell in love so my lover is a priority and my friends not so much" thing, if I were his best friend I would have punched him in the face and said: "Friend scum, this is a dog friendship, pei!"

... more>> However, I like ML's interaction with his few friends.

It's an easy read, it doesn't have high dramas but it's not boring. The rhythm is fine for me.

In fact, when I thought it was going to be a high drama and it had a deep backstory, it wasn't even that, it was much simpler. It makes me think, sometimes our mind exaggerates when it's actually quite simple.

I recommend this read, it will be something very refreshing.

It's funny. You'll especially like this novel if you like teasing/sadistic MLs. He loves to bully the MC and to be fair, MC is a person who is easily bullied (also he has a loose screw too lol).

As for ML, he has the typical personality of a Duke in rofan genre. But his dynamic with MC is really fun to watch. He is possessive over MC, but I mean it's so standard for MLs to be possessive at this point that I don't even blink. At the very least I... more>> will say as of chapter 40, ML hasn't done anything as bad as he did in the original novel. This is supposed to be a cute comedy as far as I can tell, so I doubt they will do anything that will traumatize the readers... or so at least I hope :0 <<less

The novel isn't too bad so far.

Although I will outright say that the first two chapters after the prologue are kind of.. Skippable for me as we get to know the backstory of how he transmigrated, but after you get back to the present day story, it becomes interesting again.

The reviews all had high ratings, so I gave this story a try. Well that's some low quality writing, made me remember my own school work.

For comedic purpose, after MC got threatened by ML to be whipped, have his limbs cut off and be burned, he speaks normally to the ML, as if nothing happened. I don't find the MC cute and funny, but dumb. I don't think "oh the ML is a yandere, he'll fall hard, it's so cute", but "what a psycho". The original MC is indifferent to... more>> anything that happens, has no thoughts about good/evil/what's appropriate and watch without an opinion; I just thought the author forgot to give him a personnality now that he's only an extra.

To push the story where the author wants it, ML takes his coton doll to the Emperor without any thoughts/preparations. I'm supposed to accept that an intelligent being, ruling over a territory didn't anticipate what could happen if he took a living doll to see an emperor? An archduke can't anticipate someone thinking it's weird for a grown adult to take his doll with him? I suppose that's for comedic purpose and I shouldn't roll my eyes.

So, the author has a story to tell, they didn't give the characters real personnalities or give them basic logic because that would clash with the plot. So everybody seem dumb and unpredictable without a lick of common sense or brain power.

I'd have enjoyed this story when I was a teenager and I didn't care about anything but the plot. Unfortunately for this novel I'm older and only see the lack of thoughts given in its writing. <<less

I don't know why people hate the MC Yuri when Yuri is really kind yes he does complain alot and loud but he's a fun person to be with and when you think Yuri is naive well yes he is but hey he knows what boundaries to cross and not cross his personality is just like how a person who got stuck from a lot of studies to being able to do what he wants,

I would just leave this to keep a reminder that I haven't read the extra yet lol.

For the novel, it was really a fun read. ML was a yandere in the original text but I don't think he was of much after being together with MC. He's just obsessive and possessive bcs of insecurities. The fact that he was constantly worrying about the MC leaving him bcs he ain't originally from their world was understandable. And even through that, he's trying to minimize showing MC that side.

MC was a cute... more>> one also. He's smart at times and courageous. He got his own ideas but has a screw loose sometimes.

Overall, you would like the characters and it also have a very simple plot. The villains were also dealt with fast and simple. This is actually my first time reading a Korean novel as I tend to read Chinese and it's definitely a good one. <<less

I like this kind of plot, but the characters and the writing is... very amateur. The characters’ personality is inconsistent, it can bend if the story happens to need some cliche development. I know it’s supposed to be light hearted, but the funny moments here are not funny. ML one moment is described as tyrant, one moment he is acting panicky. A lot of cliche moments that didn’t suit with the situation or the characters. I persists for so long because I was curious on how the story will be... more>> developed, but it just feels disassociating. For example:

When ML realizes he need to let MC to back to his own world first, so that MC can kill himself and stabilize MC soul, then MC come back to ML world. MC soul is in bad situation but ML just didn’t tell MC and is in denial and worried that MC will never come back. The author could’ve gone with either 1. ML prefers MC die in his arms than letting him go back 2. ML let MC go back because he truly treasure MC. But nope, ML just pretends this issue doesn’t exist and stays closer to MC physically even more. Is this the mind of tyrant and smart archduke? He’s just so immature, lack EQ, etc.

I feel like this story would get higher rating if the author decides to make this story p*rn with Plot focusing on smut, so that us readers don’t have to focus too much on the story. And it also feels like the author seems interested in smut too. <<less

I can't even endure this kind of writing... so immature.

Mc- brainless, idiot who apparently whines all the time. You're a college or what a graduate student or whatever, how did he even get to that academic level, how?? Why does he act like a dumb kid? He already read a lotta novels, so why didn't he get the ML'd manipulation at the start? ML literally threatened MC with a lot of loopholes that even an elementary student can figure out. MC is a cotton... more>> doll, can't he get that in his mind? How the does human capital punishment still applicable to him? Ok, let's assume that he's scared of ML cuz he's crazy in the novel, what use is begging and crying would do? Why not bargain with something that you have (idk, how about knowledge about something you know that they didn't cuz you're from another world). What's even the point of being from another world? Just for the sake of a s*upid plot?

I hate the Ml, no, I don't think this ML deserves to be an ML. I was so disappointed, he can be mean to the MC is he still finds the MC evil, but common', he finds MC cute from the very beginning, harmless even, why suffocate him in his pocket when he went to the emperor? And the MC is just throwing tantrums? that's it? if it were me, suffocation would be traumatizing. Speaking of, when MC got trapped in the cabinet, darkness, less oxygen, why didn't he get some kinda trauma from there? He just shrugged it off like it's not a big deal--no vro, for an MC who apparently never suffered that kind of life and death situation before, that should have taken a toll on their mental health. But no, the MC is written with no depth at all. The ML is just a straight up bastard.

I understand it's fiction and logic doesn't exist, but that doesn't excuse it for it's flat and irrational writing of the characters. <<less

One of my fav! I follow this serialized since the first release till ended!

The MC funny, and they both an honest couple. I love how he explain his circumstances in a light way (not like the other MC haha).

I love their way of teasing each other 🤣 The ML is obsessive but the way MC response to it is funny, so it doesn't make the story devastated.

I binged it all in one day and I cannot get enough. I legit can't remember how much I laughed AUDIBLY OUT LOUD while reading! I can't even remember when that last happened! (Prolly when reading TCF but this isnt about that) Healthy couple, healthy chemistry, and healthy papapa what can you hate? In all seriousness, this novel is not that serious and I LOVE IT! Yul speaks to me in a spiritual level also because we're very similar and that we're both twinks and bratty.

9/10 Good read especially if... more>> you're feeling down and shitty, this novel will lift you up even when you're at the lowest low <<less

I'm only in the starting chapters but so far it's pretty funny and the main characters are interesting.

This story is essentially: what if you took a horror movie about a haunted doll, but wrote it in the doll's perspective, and also switched the genre to a romcom.

It's overall just a cute & fun read! Nothing too serious. If you're expecting a pure and wholesome main character, you're half right and half not. The main character is kinda transparent and pretty much just says what he thinks, which is pretty interesting and fun to read about. However, this may lead him to come off as bratty or spoiled, don't read this if it doesn't suit your tastes. Love interest doesn't do anything too drastic ... more>>

This is honestly so fun! The comedy is on point, and Yul is pretty cute.

ML is crazy, but it’s in the title and all things considered he’s really not that bad. At least they like each other.

It’s not the most fleshed out plot-wise or even world-building-wise, but it’s good for light reading and passing the time. I think if you’re in the mood for a palate cleanser after reading tons of angst (which I did) this one will really hit different.

Why the low rating 😅? Maybe a bit lacking here and there but it seriously funny. I have a good laugh while reading this novel. Definitely something I will read again. Although it not the best Korean novel I have ever read but it enjoyable. I like how the MC enjoy his life, definitely a chatter who make the duke life a mess.

Anyway although the MC have no function at all, he kept sticking on ml, all his problem ML will solve it. I think he a perfect match for... more>> the gloomy duke.

A fluffy read, no need to brainstorm and be a detective to find the villain. Love the dragon lucky and happy 🤣🤣 <<less

I didn’t think I’d like the MC so much but he really is very charming and hilarious. ML is excessively possessive but anyone who gets turn off by that clearly didn’t read the title. The story is mostly fluff except maybe one or two chapters near the end. No unnecessary plot stirrers and overly long arcs. Nice cute side story and one smutty one. I wouldn’t recommend the 3rd side story though for those who are faint hearted.

I'm very surprised! When I first saw the few low rated reviews, I wasn't sure if I should read it. Turns out that the comments aren't entirely representative of this novel. I'm glad I decided to read it anyway. Initially during the first few chapters, I was still unsure. But I really got into it the further I read, so much so that I'm surprised at how I first made assumptions of the novel based on what the low raters stated. Well, now I'm all caught up to the current... more>> updated chapters and very eager for more! This novel turned out to be much better than I could have expected. I'd love to add more to this review and will edit as soon as I get the chance, that way I can provide more thorough information for potential readers who are deciding whether or not they should read this, especially with it's few, somewhat scathing reviews. I think this is the kind of novel you'll either like or dislike and it depends on your preferences for characterization, comedy, tropes, storytelling, etc. I'm quite pleased with the characters and the direction the plot is moving, and there a few things I don't like as much but do not mind

(i.e. I have specific preferences for how POV shifts are done, and the few I don't like here so far are when they provide brief snippets of what the antagonists are doing in that moment of time. It's a very simple and funny storyline. I live the joke and all so yeah it's fun reading this. What's important is that it doesn't stress me out.
