it was never said why and how MC becomes alexa. The author kinda deus ex machina it with magic and compared it to Cinderella's magic. Although it's been said that the Genie is kind of s*upid/faulty, I find it hard to believe with ML's personality to just kind of take it's quirkiness in stride.

When ML confessed, MC panicked and gathered his bros for a halp-I'm-confus meeting, and they listened to him and discussed it seriously, trying to help him figure out his feelings. They didn't give advice or told their opinions, just helped him figure out how he himself feels about it and just were there for him. I found that so nice, it's the best 'friend reaction' I read in a while

The mother is irresponsible and selfish af. Throwing tantrum, she took away the child from his father, along with concealing his existence, and when she knew she was about to die, instead of informing her child about his father's whereabouts or vice versa, she chose to threw her son to her sister family, and let her sister bear the responsibility of raising a child. Knowing damn well how much it costs to raise a child, she didn't even leave a house or any valuable property to them.

like seriously, Bian jinyuan is lucky that his small aunt's husband was a good man, but what if he's not? How can she knew that they will not change when they have their own children? Was she living in fantasy? What an irresponsible mother. Bian jinyuan can survive and attend famous school because he's smart and capable. If it's someone else, I doubt whether they can live as well as him.

and for the small aunt.. It's great that she takes good care of her sister's child, but I really wanted to slap her seeing the way she talked to father Yuan. Everyone's sufferings here are caused by her sister's unilaterally cutting off ties with father Yuan, yet she has the audacity to blame it on someone else? If she's that capable, why can't she deal with her husband's relatives first? Instead of letting Jinyuan who is still a minor solved the problems, both common and monetary, for her. These sisters have serious brain damage to even think of letting a "prideful" 17 years old boy to decide his future relationship with his father for himself without any guidance (which fortunately, father Yuan is patient and determine enough to make up for Jinyuan despite received cold shoulder treatment and multiple slaps on his face by him and his small aunt through the years).

Wait until he know the cruelty of adults' world and has his reality check, having a father who is capable of providing him a better living conditions and opportunities is far better than having none. If not for YunFei, he'll still be struggling to do part-time jobs in order to pay off his debt and support the family to this day.

I really wanted to hug Bian so much after reading this part, he always put Fei into consideration first before himself. This makes me, the reader feel how much he cherished Fei and wanted the best for him in everything. And hugs to baby Fei for being so understanding of his partner, he doesn't push him and respects his decision. But also reassure Bian that he only dated him because loved him, or why else would he be willing to try dating a "guy" if not for love.
