It was just 1 chapter. But the feels you get from that only 1 chap had my mind, blown out.

It is a great one shot and I loved our unnamed MC's love and care for his childhood friend. Not many people can dedicate themselves to someone like our MC did.

I definitely recommend this for others to read.

Impressive oneshot! It doesn't only highlight MC's devotion but also how he made himself a better person by getting to know the ML. If he is seen as the rightful king by his trusted knight, he will do everything to prove that he is worthy of his title. The MC is extremely genuine in all of his actions to help, guide, and support his knight. That kind of love is just amazing and we definitely need more people like the MC in this world.

This might be a 5 minute read... more>> but it really made me think and appreciate people who love unconditionally. I truly recommend it! <<less

WOW... Didn't expect this one shot would make me cry!!!

Usually these super short stories are too short to stir up heavy feelings, but this one did.

... more>> Because OMG... this was so heart breaking and sad. ML is soooo fantastic，true unconditional love. MC's soul is not for this world. When he reincarnated he must have accidentally lost his way and ended up on earth. He is too pure, too innocent, too brave for this cruel planet.

My only complaint here is that ending is a bit open? I consider it a HE, but others may interpret it otherwise <<less

A very heart warming story. I feel sad about Qi Shis life but im also glad that MC didnt give up on him. Qi Shi is a strong kid. He deserve to be loved and happy.

Poignant and yet so beautiful! You can feel the struggle of the protagonists! I cried a lot reading this novel. This is a hidden gem! Hope people would give this a chance.

A good read, every small detail is well thought, it's painful and sad, but thankfully there's hope for our MC because of ML's love and understanding. Story is a solid 5 for me!

My heart is in pain for both of them. As someone who once also had a 'special' friend, I know how hard it is for the MC to be this understanding. I failed my friend, but I'm glad the MC sticks to his heart till the end. What a kind soul. Their loves are so pure, this is the purest form of love besides familial love (ironically, the familial love in this story is a shit). I sympathize with the ML a loooot. The society is really cruel towards him.... more>>

His classmate, his neighbour, his family-- even MC's family is very phlegmatic, even when they witness ML's tragic life. They just don't care. How can they still call themselves human!? That's a child's life! My heart hurts. 😭

... amazing. 1 chapter, hits all the feels, well written and satisfying (ending). Its the kind of story where it will pierce in to your heart, revamp your thinking, and just make you reflect on yourself.

Not confirmed if its autism of psychosis or SCZ, but its definitely a mental illness that causes you to be unable to distinguish real and fake. This might not have been told in QISHI's pov, but its so heart wretching, it really makes you question humanity's humility.

They deserve each other.

ML deserves way more than anyone, I'm glad that MC is by his side to help and guide him. Experiencing those things is horrible, I could not even imagine myself surviving my mental health in that kind of things. I was really glad that MC is recovering little by little.

I know it's one shot but I really wanna read the part where ML is fully recovered and fully happy with MC. I want to see him feel freedom so that my heavy chest will finally feel relieved... more>> for him. <<less

My heart goes to ML, he deserves the world. I felt hurt whenever I see him hurt, happy whenever he is happy. I just wished that it could be longer but alas, there are things too good for this world.

The message of the story is beautiful and bittersweet, I hope the purpose of the story sinks into our hearts and minds.

How wonderfully realistic..

Love can help coping with many things including mental illness, but treatment is also required.. I'm truly glad that MC took the ML to hospital..

It's a heartwarming story between our unnamed narrator and MC, and his friend Qi Shu. I'm glad they have each other, I wish they have a happy life together. 💜 Their relationship requires no labels, it's lovely and true.

This is a really touching story about the narrator’s relationship with his autistic neighbor Qi Shi. It’s a realistic depiction of a boy and his struggles with society and with himself while trying to protect his own. Short but fantastic read!

I am glad I found this gem. The author and the translator did an excellent job executing this story. The pace of the story was perfect and the plot makes your heart squeeze. I am glad the author created a realistic and likable MC where he is not the random perfect and badass character type who can suddenly save other people in a fantasy way, but a more realistic one. He is someone who I can relate to and I can see in other people. Someone who is hopeless and... more>> brave in his own way while trying to do what's right as much as they can. take this kid and hide him from his father, but it wasn't realistic since the MC was also young and not independent yet, and I was glad that the author portrayed the MC's family to be like a typical one that only focuses on protecting their own and not meddle into other people's business, which is also more realistic. I had a feeling that some domestic violence was going on in Qi shi's household. However, it broke my heart knowing that the mom couldn't be saved.

Overall, I would say that people should give this a shot. It is a great read. It would be hard for me to reread this, but I would definitely recommend this to everyone. <<less
