When he stayed at her home and one night, he took her body in a drunken stupor. From then on, he had been a constant fixture in her life. How adamant he was in forcing a marriage was how adamant she demanded for a divorce. “I’m not staying married to you! I’m not staying married to you! I’m not staying married to you!” After she repeated such an important proclamation three times, he finally tossed her the divorce paper. She thought she had finally escaped him alas… After the divorce, he still snuck into her room every night… Finally losing her patience, she yelled, “We are already divorced!” He glanced at her and set down the divorce paper before her. On it, it was written clearly: After the divorce, the car is hers, the house is hers, the company is hers, their child is hers, he… is also hers?

Minor spoilers ahead. I only got to chapter 40 of like 1k so I can't spoil too much even if I want to.

Anyway here's the review. As a love story, this is dogshit. And the title is crap too. "Temperamental Adonis"?? It would be "Deranged Rapist" if the author had a shred of honesty in their body.

So here's the overview of the overall situation real quick - if you read the story you get this info all jumbled up and non-chronological so let me simplify it. There's the main character,... more>> Song Qingchun. She grew up loving some guy named Qin Yinan. Then one year in highschool a boy named Su Zhinian, a typical romance novel main character (ie: emotionally retarded iceberg personality and super handsome face), moved into her house because his family was having difficulties, things happen, and he falls in love with her. But the MC doesn't love the Su boy, she loves the Qin boy so, in a fit of drunken rage, the Su guy rapes her. Uhhhhhh huuuuuuhhh. Like you do when you're the male lead in a romance story I guess. After that she is, understandably, pissed off and throws him out of her house.

Then years later then novel begins and the Song family are super down on their luck and the MC is forced to go beg Su Zhinian for help. He staunchly refuses many times before eventually caving in... with the condition that MC warm his bed for 100 nights. You know. Since he loooooves her so much and this is the only way to keep her by his side. The MC, with half her family dead or dying, has no choice to accept his condition. Thus begins round 2 of the angry abusive rapist chronicles (he's always angry because MC still loves the Qin guy instead of the guy who violently assaulted her surprise surprise).

And that's where I dropped it. The story of an angry cold faced man who stalks a girl that doesn't like him and eventually rapes her and then years later comes back to entrap her in his r*pe dungeon when her family is down and out... is not a romance story. At least not in my books. And yeah, with my knowledge of how web novels work, I'd say there's a good 99% chance that the Qin guy that the MC likes is secretly a huge piece of sh*t - because if not then the "male leads" actions will just look that much more reprehensible by comparison - but that doesn't make the male lead any better. He's literally a guy who got drunk and raped a girl he was freeloading off of in her own home in a fit of rage and jealousy.

Who the hell thinks that that kind of character makes for a good lead in what is ostensibly a romance story?? If he wasn't handsome and rich he would literally just go directly to f*cking jail. <<less

So for the first hundred chapters I have read, I will say that our MC is a WEAK person and has princess syndrome (though I find that it hardly being justified as I don't see her being arrogant or whatnot) For every chapter I read, I find that her personality is so COMMON and nothing special and I really wonder what does ML sees in her. To me, the ML love for her is rather shallow. Just because she treats you nice and honestly when she was young you... more>> start to fall deeply in love like what the....***. This just means that ML will love anyone if ANYBODY treats him kindly. (Not that it happen) MC to me is better off being a side character and let her arch nemesis, Tang Nuan (or whatever her name is) be the MC. Our MC is not dynamic enough attract my attention.

So far, I'm just reading to pass time only waiting for a better cn novel to be translated. Good translation but not-so-good storyline. <<less

ML fell in love with FL when they were small, but when them met again 10 years later she didn't remember him, but he continuously in love with her, to the point of desperation and ended up raping her under alcohol influence 5 years prior to the current timeline of this story.

FL is your general rich lady who was in love with her childhood friend whom always treasure her as a little sister.

ML possess ability to read poeple's mind from touch and superhuman hearing. This caused him to be treated... more>> like an alien (the classic where a "freak" fell in love with someone who weren't afaid of them *roll eyes*) .

Generally generic story, but ML keep on talking about a "secret" from 5 years ago that prevent him from pursuing her. I'm only here because I'm curious about what secret it is~~ *wink wink* <<less

Some novel you need to read finished then you can make conclusions but some novel from start make you excited. But this novel you cannot make conclusions when you at few hundred chapters because all excited part at behind not before 500 chapters. In front part still ok and not boring. I love the storyline built up slowly and steadily and not rushing to finish.

Because previous previews not very good so I keep thinking need to read a not. Honestly I not regret pick up this story.

Well, I read this because the translation is already finished. There're many up and down in this novel because of the ML secret.

sibling but not sibling

But I feel it's not so much can bring emotion, so I prefer his/her other novel like 'nation husband' than this. I feel the author sure is masochistic, he/she likes to project r*pe things, or to bring pain for all the characters. Though it's happy ending, but not ending happily for me.

I feel like this is a high school girl's fantasy, written without much realism by a high school girl. The MC is forever crushing things in his grip and forever kicking people out or abandoning meetings. It's so unrealistic. Instead of hiring a body guard for his girl he moves his "office" to a nearby cafe so he can keep a watch on her and intercede if necessary...

If you're looking for an MC that is an ass to anyone and everyone but is secretly wonderful to the girl he loves,... more>> then this is totally your cup of tea. Just ignore all the things that don't add up and you'll enjoy the story.

Personally I rooted for the "older brother." but alas... it was not meant to be.
