I binged read this story because I was interested in how the ML & fl's relationship will develop. and also because of fl's abilities but after completing the story, it's quite disappointing

the characters (especially the side characters) are quite 2d and there's not much backstory about how magic & mana works. there's so much potential in the world building but I guess the author didn't write about it to focus more on the ML & fl

if you're here looking for a fantasy novel, you're gonna get disappointed. if you're looking for a romance novel, well... you'll probably be disappointed too. I admit though that I was hooked on the novel (but I am disappointed after completing it)

it's ok translation-wise but there are a few times where the pronouns are wrong so it took me out of the story a bit but it's not a huge problem. nevertheless, thanks to the translators for translating this story!!! <<less

Thought it was a cliche plot but turns out it was different from the others I've read so far.. A bit unexpected but it was a good enjoyable read overall. Plus it was completely translated! As always, thank you for the author and translation team for this novel.

Can't say FL is my fav FL somehow but I definitely love Clyde! And perhaps I was hoping for some bonus story about what happen after the main ending and maybe about the brothers too! :)

On the one hand, this novel is readable enough. OP female lead, some hurt/comfort for those who are into it, and a simp yandere ML

My biggest gripe is that FL spends a lot of time blaming herself for "making" the ML an abusive codependent nut job when... the ML was an abusive codependent nut job in the original timeline as well. Girrrrrrrlll...

There is one chortle-worthy moment. Clyde the psycho ML is not wrong for getting mad at the FL for constantly lying and gaslighting him. I'd lose my... more>> sh*t too. Yeh, the ML is a giant red flag and yeh it's often hard as a girl to say "no" clearly when you are afraid of hurting someone (or being hurt in turn) but I found myself cheering when he finally stood up for himself and said no to her nonsense.

Maybe slapping a magic-suppressing s*ave collar on her wasn't the right next move but everyone in this story would be better off with less omnipotence and more therapy. <<less

Im giving this 4* only because I was annoyed with FL so much through the story!!

i thought ML would be crazy psycho, in other words, big red flag, but no.

i would say FL is the red flag!! All the lying, betraying, gaslighting, non stop?? I would loose it too?
I thought the collar was very reasonable on his part ngl.
all things he did was so understandable!!

The ending was sweet tho! I feel sorry for prince... he had such a potential!
some parts that got on my nerves - FL making ML like a god dam dog waiting for her?? As if he had nothing but wait and wait for her. And she knew that... while she had all other life, lying to everyone around her??? Bro enough with the lying!
She would promise one thing then do the other, idk how ML stayed this strong and patient. Just proves how kind he actually is... cuz any red flag would have kidnapped FL the second they could.
His past story made me sob tho: ( (I feel so sorry for him through this all novel... I feel like she doesn't deserve him, she hurt him so much, just for him to do anything for her...

It's a good read but it would've been a more satisfying ending to have extras, narrating the other characters like the father, prince and brothers. Cos they all deserve a second chance to be happy as much as the MCs. They loved and played their part well. Although it was briefly mentioned, still not satisfied with that. But overall, a beautiful story like romeo and juliet. 😊
