I read the translation done by Mesmerizing Memoirs from start to finish.

On the translation, it seemed like one chapter was linked twice, but not too sure.

It was an okay quick read, nothing too outstanding but nothing too bad either. The themes meshed ok I guess, at times executed quite haphazardly, bordering on too much crammed in one story. I appreciate the character developments of the FL and ML, and the interactions they had with the different characters. I'm also pleasantly surprised at the amount of quite strong/good female characters in... more>> here compared to a significant amount of stories I've read previously. No character stood out for me though, maybe Erica in certain times or the Queen, but their appearances are quite sparse.

The romantic development between the main leads was quite a slow burn and not a main theme at the start, so for those reading this because of romance I'd recommend persevering. No smut as well. The start was slower than my preference, but the end didn't feel too rushed. There are

. It was an overall OK read, but I wouldn't bookmark it for a reread anytime soon.

I contemplated between going back to reading vs. Watching animes and chose the former (even though I'm sorely tempted by My Happy Marriage in Netflix). I guess I prefer binge reading to binge watching, but I will binge watch when I have more time over the holidays I guess lol. I'm still not sated at the moment and will look for another quick read. <<less

Thank you for picking up this novel!

I like how the FL know what she's lacked at. She acknowledge that she got too much pride and willingly to put it aside, trying to be a better person. She's also acknowledge that she didnt have too much information before time travel and so she's only pointing out what big occasion that gonna happen. I felt delighted because in other stories it feels like the MC have too much info about the future and make me think "Does everyone have that great memory... more>> or is it just me that too dumb to even remember what I eat yesterday morning?" <<less

I love it. The story is really addictive and the fact that FL is willing to take action in order to save everyone is nice since I personally like strong female characters.

The ML is a bit dense but caring making it all very promising.

I honestly hope this novel gets picked up by a translator soon TT. TT

The ML is dense at times but not too much that it's annoying and rather cute if you think about it. The MC is slowly learning how to use the information she knows about the future to her advantage and to save herself and the ML. There's still plenty of mystery about her regression.

Thank you for picking this up, translator-sama!

The story has good premise, but back then, it's dropped by the translator. Hope this time, the story wouldn't be dropped again.

In this 4 chapter, I like the MC's personality lol. She really regret what happened in her first life. I looking forward for the interaction between the MC and ML!

I hope they will communicate well in this new life!!

I really didn't want to give this novel 2, 5 stars. It let me down so much that I'm actually feeling sad.
Around 50-60th chapters I thought this is perfect 5 even with all the cheap parts... Then the story got overdramatic for no reason. The character's annoying choices didn't make much sense... Unrealistically soft and sweet ML turned out yandere. I mean... he was unique if we compare it to the novels from the same genre, dammit! Why would you break that characteristic?
After the 100th chapter, all things... more>> together become A HUGE MESS. The plot was thrown into the garbage. FL became a fool, ML became a huge asshöle. Even his attitude towards FL got annoying. They don't communicate or trust each other for a long enough time... Like. What is this? Why did we go back?
The end is absolutely s*upid. They really mess up the easiest tasks in order to create more war drama. FL is overpowered but she only sits on her horse and do nothing.
UGH, I thought it was going to be a satisfying story.
Again, I'm so sad about how things turned out. <<less

I am in love with this novel. When I read the promo of this I was interested so after a while I finally decided to read it and I am obsessed. This story broke my heart in the beginning and I found myself on the verge of tears. I love how after she came back to the past she realized that she needed to change and improve her personality. Also love how even after she came back to the past she didn't remember every single event that happened like it's... more>> common knowledge although it's not surprising considering she didn't go out much. Idk what I think bout the ml. He is kinda dense in some aspects but I can tell he really sweet. I def recommend.

  1. I come here after reading a webtoon promo for this great novel. And this is my first time I do my review on novelupdates. And I must say this novel is amazing. I got the chills so many times toward this novel. It managed to surpass my high expectations AND be nothing at all like I expected. I recomended you guys to read the promo webtoon first before reading the novel. The webtoon is just 2 chapter. And it's wonderful. You must try to read it first.

    Ok, about the novel, I found this novel to be very well thought out and well written. I like how the MC is pampering ML. Because he has experienced an awful incident just because marrying her. She did mistake here and there in the past so she do her best to her husband and the duchy too.

    I've wait every week for this novel to be updated. This novel is derserved to be famous.

I have never written a review for an unfinished novel before, but I just have to for this one to show how much expectation I have.

The plot isn't exactly new: MC lived a life full of regrets and then get a second chance to make up for it. But the characters are what makes it a story worth reading, especially the MC. This girl is gold, really. She isn't the nicest girl out there, nor is she the smartest. She has flaws, so many flaws, but she is determined to... more>> change for the better, all to protect the one who gave up his life for her. One strong lady, indeed. It is because she is like that that the story goes in a total different path to what I have ever read before. She is what makes it new and interesting.

Overall, thumbs up to the author. The way they lay out the story, and how they describe the MC's inner world: splendid. I was really touched when

Although the translations are all mtl, the translator/editor really put effort in making the chapters easy to read. Thank you very much for that. My only hope is that it can be continued smoothly, without being dropped over and over again anymore.

Reads like a discount version of Honey I'm going on strike.

Everything just feels a bit too easy and casual. The ML is an idiot with no understanding of how to keep his territory running, the female lead is an arrogant princess who is one moment full of pride and the next someone who is terrified of even making an appearance due to the fear of her brother. The plot seems to imply that she was taught to be a ruler because anyone could take the throne, but for someone with... more>> a lot of education, she sure doesn't feel like one. There is close to no forethought to her actions. She literally can't think 2 steps ahead of what she's currently doing. Sure, she's attempting to be more protactive this time around but you never get the sense that she's actually putting in a real effort. Things just kind of fall into her lap and the process is handwaved away with a "it succeeded".

The moment that really broke me is when

MC and ML go the captial party with no goal in mind as to what they're there for. Some random nobles for some reason have literally 0 idea they got stinking rich off skin lightening lotion that is a huge hit among the upper class and make fun of them for eating boiled potatoes. ML brings 3 chests of gold coins and has attendents to dump it over the noble's head to shut him up and defend his wife.

Um, excuse me, sir????? That money was earned by your wife????? Why does she need you to defend her pride all of a sudden?? Why are you doing it using her money like you're showing off your power when you were too s*upid to attempt to fix tbe financial situation of your fief???

This isn't even mentioning the translation being God awful. The new translator's work is actively difficult to understand and feels like badly cleaned up mtl. It's seriously not worth the effort to read this novel. <<less

i feel bad that I didn't like the novel. It has everything that I like but I just couldn't get into it. The translation is decent enough. Some parts confused me and it's obvious that it's mtl but you can still understand it. It just felt lifeless.

i was bored by how the story is presented. Even with dramatic the first chaps, . The ML literally dies and the FL realizes he cared for her. (I doubt it was love, they barely communicated or spent time with each other) but I... more>> remained unmoved. <<less

This has so many potential. The FL had such a sad past life and I wish she will have a happy life. I think the main spotlight in this story is the ML, although not much can be said from only 4 chapters, but so far the ML is one of the best ML I’ve read. The novel is beautiful.

It is the story of a traumatized young princess who faces her worst fears and comes back stronger.

The ML is also amazing. The way he's willing to fight for her and how much he's willing to give for her its just😘😘😘.

... more>> The FL herself also grows throughout the novel. She starts just wanting to live no matter what to be willing to protect the people she loves even at the cost of her soul.

Some supporting characters like the queen or the dragon too make the book wider. Especially the queen, I wish she would meet someone else and start anew. <<less

Honestly, this FL is my type of character, I find many times the FL type who does not verbally express what she feels clearly and chooses to remain silent, it makes me very upset and depressed. And our FL in this story is very expressive of her feelings and does not allow herself to be stepped on by people who have insulted her. It was so refreshing to see it. She really hit them with her words

I found chapters 9 up to 16, the FL just started to use the resources at her disposal to try and change her fate, not only to save the love of her life but as well as those whose presence she took for granted,.. (Even at the cost of her own life)

So far, it's been pretty interesting. I really like the MC and the ML is so oblivious that it's actually pretty charming. I'm glad that this novel has been picked up again and I hope I get to see more of this story! I can't say too much on the plot but I did like the start with

I really like this novel. I wish it had more chapters though, I can tell it's going to be great! The past life is pretty sad so I'm looking forward to the new life the FL will create for herself and how she will get to know the ML a bit better.

To counter the latest reviewer, the story does focus about MC being single minded about surviving but that's because this story is written in 1st & 3rd POV so the feelings & sentiments are obviously biased to the MC. Then there is also,

Sebastian being a freaking nutcase & he did kill MC (ML, ML's family, ML loyal vassals, even the whole castle, his wife's ex fiancee, his close cousin) even when she did nothing in the previous life.

In current life he made several attempts to kill her for making riches from selling successful products & for not living her life like the dead like how the dowager queen & she herself had once promised & begged of him.

This is a guy who poisoned his own sister Vivian several times until she died (Agnes & Shavolti are half sister/brother with him.)

And also is suspected to have kill his own father aka their dad.

And this is a king that rather starts a war just after being crowned just because he wants it.


He too didnt shy away from directly telling MC about how he still wants to kill her just cus she's an annoyance to him.
With 1st POV narration & the main conflict about someone in power is actively trying to kill MC hang around her mind, it's no surprise the spotlight is all about how MC feels & can do to survive.
The story didnt go into great details about MC/ML improving their territory or the like, it's more like a side story but what this story focus on,

- MC's survival instinct through scheming & secretly gaining influence & power like the nobility she is to dethrone & kill Sebastian while flying under his radar

- Development of MC/ML relationship & with other characters

For the first 9 chapter it is good but then its starting to feel like the MC is just trying to mend the problem with her affection to ML and not doing anything that will help him in improving the state of the fief nor do something to that Sebastian. Like she's just trying to escape the eye of sebastian then ignore whatever he will do to the kingdom nor to her family. She only focus on Her and ML's survival from sebastian and nothing else. There is a part... more>> where she said that she is educated as she is still part of the royal family and want to learn more from the butler in managing the fief but after that nothing is said of how is she managing it.

Maybe I judge it early but I think im gonna drop this novel.
