This is not a romance novel.

More tragic than romantic, and any romance the author would have tried to introduce would have ruined the story.

The ending was quite abrupt, but I read somewhere that the author was being harassed by bad reviews and just had to stop due to the negativity.

That good story' I like that

This story have unsatisfied ending. But it's enough Made me cry a lot and if you want to read this you should prepared some tissue.

MC is beautiful and hard working girl, she's not op or have special skill just like a normal girl but she have a past memory from her first life.

For the ML I want to cures him, cause he's s*upid Mind my little MC have a bully.

Later he'll know the truth and have regretted

I have a mixed feelings for this novel. The ending is open ending, which is understandable considering the length of the novel. Surely, this novel can be better if given chance for it to develop.

I see that many reviews dislikes the ML but I think ML's action could be justifiable:

To understand this, I have to spoil that Gu Cheng is Ye Fan who is MC's stepbrother. He didn't die after car accident but become Gu Cheng.

Author never stated his age but I assume he's about the same age as MC, thus, he shouldn't be mature enough to think through.

When he found out Su Rou (MC's brother) was the one who planned the accident, he thought MC was in complicit with them. When he become Gu Cheng, all he know was his father is dead and then he saw MC entering his new body's house, who is also a rich family, his immediate thought was this is another Su Rou's plan. To ruin another family.

So he hates her. He mocked her, says hurtful things to her but he never actually try to physically hurt her. However, that doesn't mean he could forgive her, (remember, he thought MC was in complicit with her mother and was the cause of his and his father's death. Oh yeah, should mention he didn't know his body was in coma. He thought he died.)

When his classmate bullied her, he won't necessarily interfere to make her life easier. To him, she deserves it for taking lives of two innocent souls (including him).

Of course, we could only see the story from MC's viewpoint so we don't see his. Quiet to be honest, everything is just a childish tantrums from ML as a revenge to her.

Then he found out that she was innocent, that she was in fact a victim as well, that she never even had a blood relation with Su Rou. I personally like that he didn't try to force her into a harmonious relationship with him after he knew the truth. He just watch over her silently and when she found out the truth of his identity, he stayed away when she asked him to.

There's no happy ending or bad ending. I badly wanna see what will happen. But... I definitely love the plot twist. I love this author, she always write supernatural plot twist in her every novel. But! I'm definitely not satisfied with the ending in this novel

The male lead is the FL orig step brother that was comatose after their car accident and woke up in another body. In the first life the ML was really shitty. He thought the FL was just faking everything and lied to him and was send by the enemy to curry him and his father. But, he did not expect that when he investigated. The FL was just an orphan from an orphanage that was caught up in everything! All the entire time she was the most innocent bystander that greatly loves her brother and family. T^T

  1. But, I definitely love the ML's character development in the second life. After he discovered everything. The readers can see that he definitely regret everything and tried very hard to make up for it. I love how he just silently protected the FL cuz he knows she hate him.

So final review is that I gave this a 4 star for the not so good ending. But, the entire story plot was good. I love how strong and hardworking our FL are. She's not the overly smart type but I love how she make up with hard work for her wits. <<less

Honestly, I don't really know how to rate this. The plot is clichée which I do not mind. Due to the low number of chapters I had pretty low expectations so I was surprised by how detailed the plot was. It was obvious that the author put thought into her story and characters even if she used a lot of common tropes. For the most part, the novel felt like a medium length novel. But that unfortunately changed after the climax of the plot, the identity revelation and confrontation... more>> between the main leads. From then on the author basically summarized the next nine years in a few paragraphs and ended the story in an anticlimactic way that has the reader think "Wtf?", leaving the reader disappointed and confused. If you scroll down to the comments in the last chapter, you will see I am not the only one who thinks that way.

Additionally, the translation is a bit rough which disrupts the reading flow at times. So it might hamper the reading experience a bit.

Overall, the novel was okay with a promising beginning, a dramatic and emotional climax and a bland end. <<less

I like this novel. This is actually a good one. Unfortunately it was too short. Like it was ended in a haste and cliffhanger way. The ending suited to be more like the mids of the story itself. There's a lot of time gap. No elaboration more of like a summarization. 9 years is too long. A lot of things happened. There's no proper interaction between the leads. The story has a lot of potential. I think something happened to the author and she was pressured because of some bad... more>> readers. That's why she ended it that way. Still this one is good and my cup of tea. Kudoos to the author. I appreciate her for making this kind of story. <<less

Seems like the author has a pretty good idea for a story beginning, but lost for the middle and non-existent apex and ending of the story. Therefore, it makes the story felt incomplete and of low quality.

This is honestly not a bad novel at all. I feel bad when the writer said that most of her comments was mostly scoldings from the readers. The novel is a mix of second chance and counterattack mixed with a little bit of mystery about the unsolved mu*der crime of her family. MC is likeable and works really hard, and it is satisfying to see her being a better self in this life while seeing how the mystery unraveled. I was very shocked with the plot twist. (Dun spoil urself... more>> for the full immersive shocked experience XD)

So it really baffled me that it got so much negative comments to the point the author was fed up and finally cut the whole novel short. Especially when you can really see how the author carefully planned her plot. But I really appreciate how she handled the endings. Yes, it's rushed, but it explained everything and tied up all of the loose end. (Really glad that it was not just dropped and discontinued without explaining anything like some other novels I read T_T). <<less

The 3/4 part of the story is good. But the end is abit.. It not bad, it’s like a movie with an open ending. So maybe it’s because the story is short, it’s really feel like a movie. (Even the pacing like a 2hr movie)

The twist of the story also quite good. The narrative of the story can consider quite realistic, even with the reborn theme. (And big part of the storyline is 2nd chances and redemption) Tq

In the end, the FL did not care about her brother's body or his soul (in another body). She abandoned both, although she loved him as a child and promised their dying dad that she would be together with him, always, as her only family and her only trusted person.

Thus, the story suddenly became a story about a family that disintegrated twice, in both lifetimes, not about a wonderful second chance in life where the FL studied and became rich. At least in the first life she loved someone besides herself and her money.

I actually did not mind this. In one of the comments I read that the author received hate regarding the direction of the story so they decided to end it as quick as possible.

motives. I like that Su Cheng distanced herself for as long as she did and gave GC/YF the opportunity to redeem himself in the shadows and without disrupting SC’s life.

People may not have liked the epilogue because they viewed it as a cliffhanger, but in implicit terms, SC calling out to GC/YF as “brother” means they are on the road to mending their relationship. Just because the author did not outright say “And they lived happily ever after. The End.” doesn’t mean that they didn’t achieve HEA. What SC and GC/YF went through was traumatic. Broken relationships don’t get fixed overnight.

This story should not have received as much hate as it is stated in the comments because the readers felt as if they were left at a cliffhanger. The ending was pretty clear and it should not have to be spelled out. Even if it did, maybe some readers shouldn’t have thrown so much hate against the author and maybe the author would not have been discouraged with continuing on with this story. <<less

Okay this makes me feel so so so conflicted....... Part of me loved it! It was engrossing. Part of me loves the ending because I didn't really expect it.

And then part of me is sitting here feeling hollow because I didn't expect a BE. :/

Bland as water, it had a decent set up with double rebirth but nothing happened. Sure she got bullied but like for a second. He was mean but not that long. All she did was study 90% of the time and not even that well. 2% was devoted to gaming and that was smooth no hassle because she mastered it in her last life so she gets the benefits this one. The rest is just focused on her step brother/gu Cheng. She doesn't do anything else, she's barely a money... more>> grubber! It's just so boring. No real risk and no reward. There was a set up but you can tell where the author would lose confidence and rush along until they were just speed running. Ended on a cliff hanger and not even a particularly good one. The romance is barely a subplot all one sided on his side, she just sees him as a brother. <<less

I was so annoyed and FRUSTRATED that the link from DaNovel always goes to Google.

Anyways, although I only read 13 chapters, I do like it and thx to the spoilers, I'm happy to know the story ending.

For a short story, this was actually good and many events happened despite ending felt so rushed and open-ended.

Sometimes MC (Su Cheng) felt emotionless & detached but can't fault her bc she experienced hardship in both her lifetimes and can't help to cheer for her. As rebirthed heroine, she got no cheat or not genius but her hardwork was commendable.

Honestly, author got good premise but not executed well (maybe bc it's also bc chapters were compressed)... I actually like the plot twist that saved the whole story's equilibrium.

Ye Fan (MC's stepbro) was actually in Gu Cheng's body... that's why he hated MC in their 1st life bc he thought she's a traitor who betrayed them and caused the accident... He redeemed himself after waking up remembering his 1st life and guilt on how he treated MC who was innocent and died taking care of his original body.

It's well-written. The characters' actions and thoughts are logical and they are someone you can sympathize with. I did not expect that plot twist at all. I felt there was a connection between them, but I didn't really expect that (I did not read the tags and the listed genres). My dilemma after that was How will things fall back into place? How will he make it right? The story has a lot of potential, but alas, it is so short.

This is a well laid out plot that clearly got cut short. It is not a romance. I appreciate that the author gave it an ending, however abrupt. It showed enough potential that I look forward to the authors other novels.

Interesting plot, but the MC was detached, cold, and not all that personable (maybe some had to do with the writing style). I think the writing style kind of made the whole novel a bit awkward. If it was any longer, I wouldn't have completed it.
