I Hate Everything About You is a love story between Chen Sui and Jian Ming Xi, a pair of childhood friends who grew up together. Unlike most childhood friends in other novels that got along well, Chen Sui and Jian Ming Xi were the opposite of each other, so they were quite incompatible.

Chen Sui was a tsundere girl who always said the opposite of what she meant to say. For example, whenever... more>> she said Jian Ming Xi was obnoxious, it actually meant that he was cute :> Her personality was quite rare compared to other female leads I've seen. Deep inside her arrogance on the outside, she was a fragile and insecure person who only wanted to keep Jian Ming Xi for herself.

Unlike tsundere Chen Sui, Jian Ming Xi was a bright and gentle guy who always had a smile on his face. Jian Ming Xi's love for Chen Sui was deep as he always cared about her and tried to make her happy. The way he acted towards Chen Sui was very soft and gentle, he always smiled whenever he saw her. When I was translating and reading the novel, I really wished I also had a childhood friend like Jian Ming Xi T^T

Overall, I Hate Everything About You is a sweet and lovely novel for those of you who are looking for a cute love story between adorable childhood sweethearts. Very enjoyable. I think the female lead is a little dense and the male lead has a lot of patience. It was predictable but it was still a pleasant little journey. Highly recommend you read it if you want to quick read and some sweetness

Super sweet short story. Reading this one made me yearning to be in a relationship so much. I am very grateful for translator making it easy to read and understand this little sweet story.

i just finished reading this novel and I have to say that it's so cuteee

the male lead is a photographer and the female lead is a financial worker, they are childhood friends since elementary school as they were also neighbours (their houses were next to each other)

the female lead loves and hates the male lead at the same time lmao, but the male lead is sooo cute and sweet

The MC had a big chip on her shoulder, not cute at all... Thankfully, it's a short story, so one doesn't have to suffer her that long. The writer... huh, I found her/him a bit pretentious and a name brand wh*re -- Gucci, Chanel No.5, Jimmy Choo, Bentley... yeah... [eye roll].

This story wasn't the best but it's considered quite good and sweet. Didn't like MC much though because she kept misunderstanding ML but didn't bother to know his side of story. The reason why she hated him was also so childish and only accentuated her inferiority complex more. I didn't know if it's a good thing for them to be together because her insecurity was like a time bomb for their relationship.

I guess this is alright for a short story, but it's not all that great.

Especially not a fan of the FMC. There's a limit to being a tsundere and I just found that she was just being downright childish and petty to an unreasonable degree for absolutely no reason. I've read one too many novels with tsundere FMC's and nothing about Chen Sui sets her apart from them nor is her character endearing. Think it would've been better if the setting was placed in HS as I really cant see... more>> the FMC as anything else other than an emotional/upset teenager.

Actually like the ML as he was beyond patient and understanding.

Anyhow, this novel is honestly overrated and if not for how short it was I wouldn't have bothered with it. <<less

This is probably the best short story I’ve read so far. It was straight to the point while still carrying the element of a story in a satisfying way. Very cute👌
