After thousands of years of silence, the world of cultivation once again welcomed the golden age.

While the prodigies and sects’ various disciples in the world competed, Zhou Feng had only a skill panel. And the panel would only give him passive skills.

Gluttony: When you digest food, you can digest it faster and better. You will also get hungry faster.

Strength: When you are not fighting, you will slowly regain 1% of your health.

Blade-Sharpening Rock: You will gain 1 point every time you fight.

Age Gracefully: Every year you live, you gain Defense +1.

Armor: You will have an armor of a certain ratio every time you attack.

Dao Seeds: Increase of 1% to your familiarity with cultivating the Dao.

“All sorts of passive skills are vested within me. I cultivate passively!”

“As long as I can live until the end, then I will become the strongest!”

Piece of tr*sh that's well marketed.

We were promised a non-edgy, dark reincarnated MC in a cultivator world, unmoved by 'jade' that is actually smart.

Instead we got an edgy, 'I am not tempted by jade beauties' but still speaks kindly, does not attack no matter how much they deserve it and will give them stuff or be unnecessarily kind to them even though he literally killed an entire village when one of them lightly poisoned his food, foolish dumb*ss (seriously some of his decisions make you question how he survived... more>> and how weak and s*upid his enemies were) that literally gave away a lifesaving gu because 'he couldn't use it', as if he couldn't trade it or use it on his clone (SPOILER: he got a skill for Rebirth, hence clone).

And the fcking descriptions on the women.

You can tell the author is going to use them excessively when he (no way the author is a woman) starts excessively talking about her body or how she turned her beautiful eyes....

I do not need a 3 paragraph description of how 'exquisite' her body is when she's suppose to be using the MC or is suppose to be a hindrance i.e a plot point.

I seriously wonder if all Chinese authors go to the same sh*t writing school because all the descriptions are the same in every novel (could just be the translators tho ¯_ (ツ) _/¯, like bruh, there are other words you can use, ever heard of synonyms?

Only redeeming quality is that all characters have their own thoughts, which sadly is overshadowed by multiple (3 possible) women, 2 of whom have declared, 'I'll make his mine, whether he wants it or not'.

Onto the hindrance

Spoiler

"Also, dual cultivating with a Gorgon is even more enjoyable than with a human, not to mention the Inner Charm Constitution."

Leng Maner looked at Zhou Feng, who had quickly lost interest, and for some reason, she heaved a sigh of relief in her heart.

[collapse]

This was the one who used him with the promise of resources and ran away.... but of course she came back. I can't stand her the most.

The second one that I can't stand is his dragon 'fiance'. The MC, even when he knew he had to be careful, speaks to her (relatively) nicely at the end when he decides to fake his death, which was very out of character for him, because he felt 'sorry' 🤦‍♂️. Which, of course, was the author's way of letting her know he's alive and is actually human.

Remarks: Beta and simpy MC weak to women who's really edgy and a story that focuses on the wrong things. <<less

the first arc is incredible, MC is struggling and adapting great with his circumstances, definitely worth reading UNTIL:

Spoiler

he escape from the sect and abandon the evil technique, which literally change everything about him, MC literally become same generic boring righteous MC, he become op and everything he needs will come to his door next chapters, convenient coincidences stacks one to another and his passive cheat is basically just a spoiler tools (you will know the future chapters just from mc's new passive), not to mention the author drop a prophesy regarding MC which makes the novel incredibly bland, "MC is the choosen one", "he will save the world and become hero", "he is future human emperor", all right then he become hero but the fact that everyone is basically against him is really iritating, everyone literally hate MC for no reason and want to kill him, this tropes is super annoying

Surprisingly decent. I wasn't expecting much from this novel from the beginning, but it surprised me.

The first arc of the novel is pretty good, it has lots of tension, the main character basically always has a guillotine over his head. Besides that, there isn't the typical "young master" stereotype (for the most part), possibly because it's a demonic sect and a lot of things make sense upon considering that every disciple is evil. Although, due to the system, some parts of the novel are blatantly bullshit. Ex: ... more>>
Spoiler

Getting a passive that gives a very small chance to get a treasure while fishing, and on the very first try gets a spiritual fish that just so happens to be enough to heal his injuries. He gets basically nothing after that.

[collapse]

However, while the novel doesn't have the typical "young master" stereotype, it's kind of worse. Instead of the main character offending someone, it's basically him being interesting to a young master so they want him as a s*ave or something similar. In short, they are far more arrogant than in most novels.

This novel has definitely taken inspiration from Reverend Insanity. For example, there are Gu's but it isn't as prominent than in Reverend Insanity, and the main character's personality is basically identical.

Overall, a decent read. Too short for me to give more detailed thoughts. <<less

This is those chinese novels that hype you up with a good plot and characters then come rolling downhill because author didn't have enough braincell to continue. I recommend reading only the parts before he escaped the

have to say it was unexpected, thought the whole novel about salted fish MC which was a transmigrator and muddle through his life as salt fish.

Nope, the MC thrust into peril situation where his is too weak to resist as he was kidnapped n forced into demonic sect, Gu sect, where the strong eats the weak and sometimes its literal.
MC doesnt have perfect or good cultivation where everything he barely scrap through as he has no talent, no backing and no power, and everyone will want to use him.

Spoiler

such as, as new student the 2nd year will bully them for half of their resource, and when MC resist n bully cannot kill, when bully take the rest of the 1st years supplies, everyone turn their hatred toward MC since they are too weak to fight against the 2nd year

.

even from the beginning, we get to see how ruthless the demonic sect is w the leader sucking the blood of elder, elder sucking on core desciple, core sucking on inner deciple and MC as outer desciple are just consider food for the animals.

in future where MC escape, its shown again how ruthless the wandering cultivators are since the only rule being the strong eats the weak, even among rightous cultivator, where they kill witness since they dont want their reputation to suffer, and if they dont, they pressure the weak w their lacky doing the dirty work.

enjoyable since MC is fair to both genders and age and does not get confused on his path of dao, merciless against enemy regardless of situation cause YOUR ENEMY WILL COME BACK FOR REVENGE IF YOU DONT KILL THEM (my favorite part) but nothing new, just a relaxing read.

This had potential, however author didn’t think so... it became tr*sh. Countless plot holes (world building, system and simple logic), MC does unneeded sh*t and even changes his alignment from evil to good, then (in a few chapters) back. And it happened more than 2 times. Whoever gave it 4 stars read it from 570 chapter, it’s unbearable just like chinese tr*sh fanfics with harem. You get your head dizzy after reading one chapter. Furthermore after proclaiming that his dream is harem, MC hunts every skirt.
Author is st b*tch

Okay, so the novel is pretty great I guess. Everything is fine, but..

Spoiler

It starts getting repetitive and the main character needs to overcome the same character developments, going in a loop basically. Which is annoying, and things spoken of in the novel are later forgotten due to them having no use. Character development made is overturned and his past experiences with the Tri-Gu Sect holds almost to no weight after merely a few months after experiencing traumatic mental situations it is just forgotten due to supposed mental strength?

What pisses me off even more is that it CLAIMS there's no romance at all in the genre and tags, but MULTIPLE women appear trying to get him?! He claims to not have any friends, but turns around and considers them TRUE friends?! He has constant told them he doesn't want love, but they fall EVEN more in love with him?! The damn Passive skills are also leading to something with that 'charm +1', 'children with better bloodline' passive skill, and the GODDAMN cultivation technique makes even more handsome?! Atleast put romance in the genre!!

Inconsistency with anything related to mechanics and resources; incessant, repetitive, interrupting narrative exposition, and boring skills really hold this novel back (just bog standard webnovel style). There's a handful of skills that aren't just more damage, defense or sustain, but they're barely talked about. "Does X more damage" is boring in patch notes and tooltips for actual games... this is not the appropriate place for realism my dudes.

As others have said, the first arc is pretty good. But it drags on a bit imo. I also disagree with the sentiment... more>> that it should have stayed as it was. It should have leaned harder into its uniqueness. Exploring all kinds of weird passives is a great idea. Instead it starts making passives as active as possible to reach for a very bland and normal story.

Overall, this is readable but not worth going out of your way for. <<less

I read through chapter 405, but I just couldn't stand it anymore. As others have said, it's pretty entertaining through the first major arc, the Tri-Gu sect. After that is over it really starts to go downhill. The author forgets the rules created for the Main Character's gold finger power (it can charge up with time to higher rarity skills), and while it is supposed to give out a random passive ability the passives it gives start turning into boring attribute boosts.

To make it worse, these 'random' powers always seem... more>> to be exactly whatever the Main Character has decided he needs the most, many times one paragraph before he 'draws' a 'random' skill. What a wild and crazy random happenstance! Eventually, the specificity of these 'random' skills got to be too much for me and I have to quit. It's just absolutely s*upid.

"I keep using up too much soul power"

*kill people to get more soul power*

"I got so tired in that last fight."

*every battle you win, get +1 endurance*

On and on and on. So contrived! <<less

Pretty good.

As others said, the first part at the "evil sect" was generally more entertaining because the MC wasn't broken op yet.

The latter parts are still decent but only if you enjoy it when the MC is basically invincible and constantly gets the power up he needs the most at the most convenient time.
