From childhood friends to lovers ❤️ MC is a very clingy baby and ML is a very doting seme who hides his true feelings towards the MC. MC is dying but he have the system and both MC and ML need to do tasks in order to save MC. There's also meat 😆❤️ Although it is short, it's a very good read that focuses on their journey together. Very wholesome.

Reading and finishing this gave so many nice, soft sweet feels. Like the feeling of biting into mochi.

I rarely go for short and sweet ones because I already have the expectation that I won't enjoy it as much as a super long one made up of several arcs. But I'm so so happy I read this. It came at the perfect time for me and a nice comforting experience.

Obvious tropes & stereotypical plot but done pretty well and enjoyably. Giggled and teared a few times.

An overall smooth sailing low tension fun story with enough ups and downs. Ok if looking for generic fluff and dense MC without much emotional tidal waves or depth.

Short and sweet. Less of a falling in love story than a realizing you already love the person at your side and finding the courage to take that next step.

Towards the end there was a scene that made me start crying on the train and imagining what if my partner faced a life threatening situation like in the story.

So at least for this gay, it was moving.

This was an absolutely adorable short novel, with a few more emotional moments but generally lighthearted and sweet! Having both MCs hooked up to the same system and going through the love missions together was a fun plot device, especially since they both had wildly different viewpoints on it to begin with.

As can be inferred from the tags, ML is and has long been in love with MC, and this system is an excuse for him to make out with his bestie without consequences. MC on the other hand is... more>> worried about making ML feel disgusted by having to kiss his bestie, which is a super cliche but always hilarious misunderstanding. The mutual pining once they get to that point is also so delicious.

Those fujoshi classmates are too funny. One of them may have a crush on ML but shipping CP takes precedence haha. Side characters all are quite likable, especially the random older college gege that helped with MC's gay awakening. (Nothing happens between them btw if you're worried.) Also I did not expect the s*x scenes to be that explicit, always a nice surprise? I'm always amused when a ML is portrayed as some kind of s*x god when in reality they're both virg*ns.

was understandable and a little extreme (as well as disappointing) but definitely not the worst I've ever read. No long separations and misunderstandings, just took them a little while to understand. There isn't an apology or anything for the initial reaction but that's just Chinese culture for you.

Overall just a cute, trope-filled romance between two childhood best friends who go from attached at the hip to attached by the lips. It's good but it's so cliche that it does read like a fanfic lol. The lack of extras is criminal though, wish we got some scenes of their life in college and beyond. <<less

I’m happy I bumped into this novel. I have been looking for a short and sweet story recently to no avail. But I just happened to see this randomly and got into it. It may be one of those common childhood friends to lovers trope with a system involved, so from an objective standpoint, it may not be much but subjectively since it made me feel happy and a bit sad at some points so I really liked it.

The realization part of the naive MC was just... wonderfully written in my opinion. I really felt that exquisite struggle of finding out you like someone you probably shouldn’t have. The part when the MC fainted and the system showed him his deepest fears... my heart felt hurt tbh.

this is a very sweet story, from childhood friends to lovers. They have a very pure love and noone else would ever be able to get in between them. Definitely recommended.

A little fluff for in-between with a pinch of drama.

About the story... MC and ML grew up together since they were babies and are more of really close brothers. Well... at least people think so and MC does too. Then there comes a system along. It is rather straight out and tells both, that they have a 100% match and the system is there to make them lovey-dovey. Oh yeah and the little straight MC can not decline, because he already has a brain tumor and will die... more>> in 6 month if the missions are not fulfilled or they can't get 1000 mission points to buy the panacea. Well, 2 points for a kiss, 1 point for sleeping in the same bed.... let the fluff begin.

So basically ML was already badly in love but now there is a good chance to eat some tofu and get his little love.

The story is mostly fluff and good dense MC is, not realizing his own feelings. But as I said, there is a pinch of drama. It is a bit difficult when MC finally get his own feelings and is afraid of dragging ML down. It won't take long but the struggle is there. Also when they come out to their parents, it gets a bit tense but it's a happy ending of course.

Although this is no deep story and has here and there a hole, it was a feelgood story that entertained me enough. So I would recommend it if you are looking for a bit of fluff with not too much logic involved. <<less

Easy and light read. The storyline is predictable and the angst is mild.

MC, Shen Mian, is the silly sweet type. ML, Pei Zhiyi, would’ve been the domineering CEO type if given a few years.

MC and ML have been close friends since they were kids. ML has loved MC for years and spoils him. Due to the system’s assignments, MC realizes his feelings for ML and they become a couple.

The reason for the existence of the system isn’t explained. It’s mostly a catalyst used by the author to get the romance going.

I've read over a dozen stories like this and this one had absolutely nothing new to offer, not even in the fluff or pining department. Everything seemed superficial and shallow, like it was a barely edited story taken from a generic template. I didn't feel anything at all from reading this, not even the usual heartwarming feeling that comes from reading about childhood friends. This story is just there. 3 stars for the effort.

It's nice sweet with a hint of tang. The ending wasn't drawn out, although I do wish there were extras. However that's just my reluctance to see them go. A definite read for a good time.

Sweet CP! Relatively uneventful and a bit cliche. Forgetful but okay. Kinda fit tired reading and was surprised by it as it's only 51 chaps and thought i'd be a short read, ended up reading for more than 4 days. Quite cute though. Very good fluff after a tragedy novel or something. Light read.

The last few chapters were so good though, particularly moving. Really liked that one!
