For his "favorite game" he sure doesn't seem interested in exploring the world much. He's focused on returning at the expense of everything else, and he doesn't seem like an interesting or relatable person because of that laser focus. The system seems focused too, in a different direction, so basically you have a protagonist who's only interested in reaching the end of the story, but he'll complete any task he's given to get stronger, but only do the bare minimum and rush through the questline just to get to the... more>> end.

So far it's okay, but then he gains an incredibly useful ability:

Spoiler

mind control

[collapse]

And doesn't even consider using it despite multiple times not long after when he could have saved a lot of time and trouble using it. Like three times within a day he'll think "I can't do this" but the ability seems like it would let him... So... ???

Also, in spite of him having no interest whatsoever in anything other than going home or getting stronger, the author throws beautiful women at him every arc so far.

So it ends up being like the author is writing fan fiction for a real game that you're supposed to know very well so the characters and setting - and mechanics - don't need to be explained at all, and you're reading a speed run of said game by someone who is bored of it but will die if he loses. <<less

The translation is fine. The story evades many of the common tropes like making a harem, lamenting over pointless things and especially the "school" arc while still making them relevant to the plot and not just some slice of life. Each arc is concluded in 5 to 8 chapters which you might think is short but is not rushed in any way plus no blue balling cuz of the cliffhanger.

The story starts when the MC is decently strong, so we can focus on the main story where he's working towards... more>> completing the game scenario and find a way back to earth rather than making it a power fantasy where the main attraction is the level gain like other novels of similar genre.

The story is decent enough and not anything extraordinary but the reduction of classic tropes and other unnecessary interaction and having interesting arcs sets it apart from the staple magic fantasy which is the reason of my rating otherwise I'd give it a 4 <<less

I really like this novel XD. The main character is working hard to find a way back to his home while he is bound to a system. The translation is okay, and it was a pretty smooth read for me. I felt that this was a very realistic kind of thinking. If you were bound to a system that drags you into countless of troubles, wouldn’t you want to escape from it? Although the system was very useful to him, he wants to go back. The system is also quite... more>> mysterious to me. As the others said, it’s not god-tier but I think the plot is pretty interesting. It’s worth the try. But, it’s a story that follows the MC a lot so if you want more loveable side characters that lasts long, then it’s not really for you. <<less

Yeah it's an MTL but the translator is putting some effort to clean it up a bit so the sentences still flows naturally. The translation actually got a bit better compared from the initial chapters. I'm enjoying this story so I would advise people to give it a chance.

It may just be a personal preference. But I think little descriptions of MC or some relevant character's appearance is a necessary element of any novel. And this element certainly lacks in most of the Korean web novels (at least in my experience). This one is also no exception. In the first few chapters, this novel introduces us to MC and a somehow relevant female character. The author mentions their name, and that's it.

I'm not saying that the author should write some paragraph length Bull**** like "Jade like hands, phoenix... more>> eyes.. Blablabla" in every chapter. Just a sentence or two about some relevant character's appearance one is sufficient. <<less

first of all, it’s very disappointing. why? Until 70 chapters it was really interesting, the MC always focused on his purpose to return to the earth, his journey and power. But later on I found it really ‘dry’ like wtf is this novel. There’s no character development just SUPER QUICK power up to make him OP. His character really boring and never change, antisocial, even if you doesn't like to there will be time when you interested in something. The story went down with boring character and super... more>> quick power up. There was none important character other than MC. There’s no friends, master-disciple, comrades, or anyone, they just disappear after the story went to another arc. Even if you temporary live in that world, at least there was another character who support/fight/annoy the mc? Be it the villain or allies. EVERYONE JUST BEING CANNON FODDER what a waste I read the character like..

Spoiler

when MC help an elf on the ship for no reason from being attacked from some pirates, the elf itself is the one who will be an elf king, the elf wants to payback but MC refused so later on I thought there will be another encounter so i’m excited to theri next meet, but what the hell they dont meet again even no mention about elves again like it was simply to show-off MC power on their first meet.

the same case with a genius+powerful girl from another clan who in the future will be a powerful warrior when MC and she have school competitions, of course MC won and the girl will be motivated for training harder (because at first she actually lazy from being too powerful so in her clan no one can beat her) but until the novel completes she just fcking disappear

[collapse]

the story itself it doesn’t look like that it was his favorite game, THE ENDING IS RUSHED IN 5 CHAPTERS. Are you kidding me? Suddenly at the academy opening ceremony appeare a group of main villain who just make appearance. They from black tower and going to kill the students and headmaster (guardian of the empire + 7 circle mage the highest range of mage) at that time MC was 6 circle mage and when the accident arise, he killed the group which is contained 5 circle mage as the weakest but MC could kill them all. Then he rushed to the head of the villain who is described as powerful as transcends but MC awaken his 7 circle and just fcking kill him. Like.. Wtf is going on, MC just defeated here and there and he died after awakening, and met the system who actually the ‘Devil’ the same earthman as he is, MC just being used by the devil for his revenge. The devil itself was a god and after talks, he passed his divinity to MC and fck the MC goes back to earth. Hmmm okay the purpose is achived but IT WAS HAPPENED ONLY IN 5 CHAPTERS GOR THE FINALS ;) so I don’t really recommend it, the author really irresponsible and rushed everything at the end <<less

Um, I think this a pretty good novel. The translation is rough for the first like 5ish chapters but after that, once you like get all the world's background and stuff, it's not that big of a deal.

The story itself is pretty good, it doesn't really play on the cliches of the isekai genre (harems, an underestimated protagonists, casual mu*der by MC, etc.) , which is refreshing. The plot is basically like: this guy gets s**ked into the game he was playing, so he goes around completing quests for his... more>> system to level up and got stronger, and tries to find a way to get back to earth. I would say this story is a nice way to kill time but not like a god tier story. Probably honestly a 3.5/5 but my personal enjoyment bumps it up to 4/5 for me. <<less

So far so good.

I have a bit of tolerance for OP MC stuff so I still like the flow of the story. Anyway, it's not wrong to say that the plot is just like any other isekai rpg fantasy-setting plotline with generic elements and stuff, but I must say that the execution of the story itself is quite nice and not too overbearing.

The protagonist is s**ked into a magical game world, he wants to go home (which he is surprisingly too obsessed to complete, and every decision or judgments he... more>> had made was due to his desire to go back home), he has cheats (a system, although unresponsive it was still helpful, also the mana logic of the setting doesn't affect him much), and he follows system quest. As I said, it is another example of general elements woven together to create a story that has huge appeal to a large audience. But unlike some novels, this story has decent execution of the known tropes that can keep the readers entertained throughout the story despite being familiar.

In the end, the story itself is interesting and I hope you give it a try! <<less

Ive only checked the first two chapters since the group's name had MTL to check if it was readable. There were a few mistakes but very noticeable ones
eg If I have to think about it, it may be because the character’s appearance, which was unnecessarily overly curly, was bothered unconsciously.

As fr the novel itself, it follows the standard MC being transported into a game trope but I can't comment beyond that as I only checked if I can bear the grammatical errors.

Ngl, it was a very enjoyable read. While there was very little character development (not that I was the type to even care about those LMAO), it was still fun to watch MC complete all his quests. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I, for one, really enjoyed it. Translation didn't bother me too much, since I've read so much worse, but the translation actually isn't that bad.
