Short & sweet. Not a lot of substance or drama. I really liked FL as she is very down to earth.
What stopped this book from being 5 stars was that it felt like nothing ever really reached full potential. In the beginning you get to see the male leads POV and that slowly stopped as did any real development with him once they started dating. FL’s career is similar. She is very successful but towards the middle starts expressing interest in being the lead rather than secondary lead or even changing her image. That interest ends rather quickly and she continues as she has been. It would have been nice to see her find a sort of antihero role that would allow for her to be lead and keep her preferences.
Most notable is the “tragic past” tag which I would argue with. There was a lot of potential to play with her past and her struggle to be an actress that was never reached. Instead it was just used as a plot tool for the characters to get closer which was arguably unnecessary at that point.

all in all, cute and short but do not expect depth. I think this author has potential but I wish her editor got her to dig deeper.

I hated the way they handled the issue with Xiao Bao. It's like the authors just wanted to quickly tie up all the plot ends before hitting c66. The way Su Yi reacted to his death as well is really telling. Either the author is a good writer who doesn't care much about her works as long as they meet the deadlines. Or the MC is a shitty disingenuous person. The backstory being Chu Ying saving Su Yi is also not expanded upon despite some foreshadowing. All the side characters, even the ones with the most screen time like the FL's agent/bestie are bland characters written in only to tick a box in CN novel checklist (she's so unmemorable that it's been ten minutes since I finished reading this and I've already forgotten her name.)

Additionally, you really can't see any love between the Main couple. Yes they met eachother a few years back and then they meet again and immediately FL starts hitting on ML and the ML likes it so they start dating and having s*x and then eventually they get married. The end.

This novel is really just a waste of your time. It has a fairly strong start and then it scams you into wasting your day. If you want a CN showbiz novel, there's ten others that have the same plot as this one but will leave you less frustrated. <<less

Super fluffy and peaceful !

Great story in Entertainment Circle WITHOUT Rebirth/transmigration/... Well this is my first time reading one with the MC being a girl (a entertainment with no reborth/transmigration being non-yaoi).

At the start of the novel, the MC is already an actress with her haters-fanbase and she is flattered by it (being hated means that she is a great actress in villains's characters). She is not a white lotus or an all-know-domineering character which it's good ! On the contrary, she is super cute in the normal way of... more>> a girl in love !

And actually, she is not really thinking of changing her image (she thought about it because, well her stepmother watched her dramas and hated her before meeting. After a while, she really realises that she also likes the villainess's roles. But we dont know if she plays it later because the novel is too short ;_;.

After half of the novel, she is in a stable and serious relashionship with the ML. Well, her image changed after a streaming broadcasted live for her birthday. She gained fans who liked her, on the contrary with her "love to hate her characters"-fan base. So she is still playing the role of a villain.

It's also nice how this is the MC who is chasing her ML. And their relashionship is growing like any relashionship without strange or exaggerating twists.

It's refreshing to read... is what I thought until the middle of the story ! It's now super fluffy !!!!! Be used at being fed dog food !!!! <<less

Like any other normal overbearing CEO novels, it's cute, it's fluffy, and best thing is that it's short.

The dog blood element was kept at the minimum and straight to the point, with no definite or troublesome antagonist (s) to be found. The plot focused more on the lovey-dovey life of the two main characters, in which the dialogue with her agent in the summary only happened after halfway through the relationship.

The difference between MC and other similar type showbiz novel MC is that instead of going for the top of... more>> showbiz, she's content being forever female #2 and doesn't mind being the vicious character forever. Plus, she's very decisive and straightforward. Despite being hated by a lot of people, no one would dispute of her charm.

The only thing that made me feel a bit disappointed is that

her nephew was only imtroduced briefly at the early chapters and then almost by the end he died without even appearing... like wow talk about how sudden.

And there's no little bun even by the end of the extra. This novel ended with their wedding. Really made me feel like it's unfinished without one, but maybe it's just because I've been spoiled by too many HE novel.

I love this so much! Truly my cup of tea. ❤❤ It is heartwarming. Warning: You'll be eating a lot of dog food in this story. HAHAHA. I MTLed this but would still wait patiently for its updates.

Su Yi is very lovely. How to say this? She knows what she wants and she goes for it no matter what. I want to have her level of confidence. HAHAHA. Yes gurl. Go get your man!

Chu Ying is one loyal and faithful man. He loves Su Yi and he pampers her -... more>> much to the dismay of people around them. HAHAHAHA. However, sometimes he would be more innocent and purer than Su Yi. I laughed a lot in those scenes. ?? Poor Su Yi's naugthy mind. Lol

For those who only want fluffy stories like me, don't miss this! Worth a read!

The summary is quite off. Chu Ying never forced her to change her role of being the villainess. It was her own choice, okay? Chu Ying strongly supported her in everything and was definitely not those typical jerkass and overbearing CEOs. He wouldn't force Su Yi to do anything. <<less

This is sweet and well worth it. If you're tired of shenanigans and want a couple who TALK and take time to understand each other WITHOUT a bunch of situations of dubious consent, here you go~

She is even the one chasing him, and it's written in a fun logical way and not like she's some braindead Madonna who forgives him no matter what (I'm looking at you "THE best of You").

Well worth binging <3

This is the perfect read when you're procrastinating on homework. It's cute. I really don't think the synopsis does it justice. I was going to stay away (I thought the girl changes for the guy) - but I read some reviews and saw the word "cute" and "fluff" so I gave it a shot.

The FL is not trying to change her image, unlike what the synopsis says. It's just refreshing that she doesn't even care about her image. And the ML doesn't even care about her image either.

They just do... more>> their own thing and it's so cute. She is a bit aggressive but she isn't stalkerish. I really like the female character in this one. <<less

The synopsis actually threw me off as I thought she's just an another annoying female lead who blindly chases a guy. She's not, ok. I almost missed this treasure and I thank the previous reviews here for convincing me to try reading it. This is really gooood and is one of my fave novels now, I just love everything about it especially the MC. I like her values and attitude the most. Goddess Su Yi, I'm a fan and you can take my heart. (＾◡＾) っ ♡

Wow, gotta love the MC. She is hilarious.

As a grandmaster at evil characters, she knows to enjoy the hate from her "fans" properly. Unlike her "character", she has a sense of justice but with that touch of vixen.

This is a really enjoyable story. You will laugh from the first chapter onward.

Short. There could be so much more added here. Complaining because it's short and want to know more about the FL and ML. Read it, this is worth it.

I read the raws a few years back and when I saw the translation was up I figured I'd see how the quality was.
... 2/5 I really regret it.

The translation mistranslated so many basic things and read like someone trying to sound very literary by using a lot of big words and synonyms.

- 'laughing quietly' or 'chuckling' in the raws somehow became 'sneering' multiple times

- 'overreacting' was written as 'you're reacting overmuch'

I don't even remember any more examples because I was so busy not enjoying myself reading this. I really did enjoy the raws a few years back but this translation just had me going 'wtf is this translation/writing' at least once every other chapter.

Not to mention the annoying abundance of ads and pop ups on the translator's website... I got redirected to some scam virus looking page several times while trying to click into a new chapter.

They have no previous/next chapter buttons too, presumably for boosting page views and ad revenue.

I mtl-ed the whole stories and I love it! Its perfect if you're in the mood for something fluffy, sweet and not overly dramatic.

I think what I like the most is that the flow and development of their relationship. Nothing rush and I love that ML was not over bearing and unreasonable CEO. I also love the MC because she smart and confident. Most importantly, she knows what she wants and not afraid to work for it.

The story is super cute. It's so amazing to read about a FL who knows what she wants, and is determined to chase after the ML. The ML is also not the typical C-novel trope cold/ abusive/ suspicious lead but actually serious and careful with FL. There are not major problems that the two face. FL is independent, straight forward and blunt about what she wants. ML is always pampering her, fulfilling her requests and a little sneaky about how he makes her eat etc.

Overall, a feel good book

Cute and fluffy story. The relationship between the MC and ML is goals. The story centers around Mc's and ML's relationship. The pacing is well done but it seemed a bit rushed at the end. Idk why but maybe because it was the mtl.

MC is very cute and her characterization is very driven. She's very straight forward and clear cut, charging straight towards her goal.

ML has the basis of your typical ML but the author really brings him to life with his own personality and not just "ice face".

The only... more>> problem I had was Mc's nephew. It really hurts and I felt that it could have been fleshed out more. I felt like she could have done something more... but life always isn't sunshine and rainbows.

Overall, it's a nice read when you want something sugary.

Su Yi (FL) then proceeded to try and get his number, but CG gave her a fake one at first which she exposed by calling it on the spot?. Thenn they kind of got viral on the internet because of the 'handsome guy saves beauty' scene, which, who doesn't love?! It's like straight out of a fairy tail scene lolol ?

Really good read hilarious and so tooth achingly sweet CP! Love the FL and ML is a decent CEO not stalker and doesn't harass her 🥰

FL is shameless in pursuing ML. Very fluffy and very good chemistry.

Altho, summary is wrong. There's no mention of FL wanting to be a white lotus in this CN which is better because ya know it means she doesn't have to change who she is just to please the ML.

Everyone talked about that 'overbearing CEO' may I remind you and add that that overbearing CEO also an ex-army. Its really spiced up the image of an overbearing, indifferent and cold CEO added with the authorative aura as an ex-army from his speech. Everyone seems to bow down to him. Or was it just my imagination?

I admired how confident and laid back Su Yi is. She serious both in career and relationship and anything that doesnt concerns her, she's too lazy to care. I dont know how to describe her... more>> personality but I thing refreshing best suited for her. Really interesting.

Overall this is really a nice lightnovel to read. I'm excited for the next update. Please soon~~ I cannot bear to read a MTL translation. (╥﹏╥) <<less

AHHH I bow down to Yi ge! Too incredible, too powerful, too splendid, too magnificent! Our MC is the best, if she were real I'd be her fan! She's not even real, and I'm STILL her fan!

I LOVE THIS STORY SOOOO MUCH. It's gotta be one of my ABSOLUTE favourite romantic relationships featuring a powerful CEO. Rather than the typical cold tyrant, here our girl takes the lead in pursuing her man who is sweet and cool. There's no unnecessary drama and complications, fluff the whole way right through to... more>> the end. After they get together, it's still just too sweet.

I have no idea what the heck that synopsis is about, the story is not at ALL MC trying to change her image or herself for her man. Rather, it's about a saucy and brilliant actress chasing her man.

I love this romance novel. FL and ML have good head on their shoulder. However they are not perfect and both have moments of insecurity. Plot is not too complicated and with good fluff.

Nothing tear jerking or heart wrenching. A good novel too read between intense ones :).
