Although I really enjoyed this book, the reason I rated this a 3 is due to the multiple character inconsestencies throughout the book, especially with the MC. A very unique setting with a mature MC that makes me enjoy. The world building is quite interesting and we're kept guessing the truths hidden behind the scenes as the characters all struggle to fulfill their roles.

It does have some flaws like some weak characterization of side characters but overall the plot is interesting and the characters remain acceptable as they act within their realms common sense.

The best part has to be the conflict of interest between the MC's will and how the people in power have exploited and twisted... more>> it to further their own goals. It's a great way that shows how the people in power control the masses.

So far this novel has been very entertaining to read. The translation is great and there's no useless filler.

At first I wasn't really thrilled, but I surely changed my mind. The story is well written, the author has done an amazing job with all the characters - shout out to the MC and his development, it is truly good to understand his decisions and train of thought. The author makes everything clear as the story progresses and the translators are doing an awesome job. Don't know why it isn't known by many!!!!

A decent enough affair. Starts as a typical kinda-sorta OP protag is former Emperor reincarnated story, gets pretty good in the middle and yen kinda misses the landing. Can you believes there's 2 different damsel in distress arcs back to back? Against the same enemy? But yeah as expected once the story moved away from storied character dramas and OP revenge and moved on to cosmic monsters and whatnot it kinda fell off. MC loses 90% of his powers to the villain in one chapter... And then gets most of... more>> it back 2 chapters later from an alternative source that finally got deployed. And don't even get me started with the 'he died but not really, here's the world without him ending" followed by a few short, meh sidestories.

P.S. I did find it amusing that the emperor appears monogamous, as does everyone else in the story but his like 90 yo daughter ends up with a transdimensional gigaharem outta nowhere. <<less

The progression was nice and things made sense, but it is not a very satisfying novel. It depicts a side of humanity that isn't too pretty and a very human hypocrisy from the characters. The characters started off on the weaker side but they had impressive developments which is a strong point of this novel.
